U.S. Magistrate Lakeesha Greyer-Isaac issued a protective order in U.S.A. v. Jody Owens, II et al yesterday.
There has been a bit of squabbling between defense and prosecution since January when Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens filed a motion to dismiss with 47 exhibits that included the names of FBI agents and raw interviews from other FBI investigations. The Court immediately sealed the filing. Most of the legal skirmishing since the filing has taken place behind closed doors.
Former Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba filed a motion to dismiss recently but it too is under seal.
Kingfish note: It appears the "good stuff" will only be made public if someone goes to trial. May 29 is the deadline for filing an intent to plead guilty.

What does Chowke have to hide? A lot of skeletons in his closet. Right?
Actually the opposite. The defense was dishing dirt on the FBI.
I think we can all agree that doing this could injure Chockwe’s attempt to try the case to the public. All he needs is one juror to refuse to vote to convict. It looks like the judge could be denying ole Chock a fair trial, don’t you think?
FBI are scum. They will target mentally ill young men and lure them into “hate groups” controlled by the feds. And I am talking about young men diagnosed with schizophrenia, autism, and severed learning disabilities. Anything to make a big PR stunt to justify the agency and department’s existence! https://www.cbsnews.com/news/family-fbi-knew-oklahoma-bomb-plot-suspect-is-schizophrenic/
Bottom line is that they are gonna walk. Beating the charges just cause kinda thing. Whatever.
