It is truly a clash of corporate titans in Mississippi as Gabriel Prado squares off with Mississippi's power companies at the Public Service Commission. At stake is Mr. Prado's plan to build a gas-fired power plant to provide electricity to his proposed AI data center and its tenants. JJ broke the news yesterday and covered the story rather thoroughly. Earlier post. However, some people don't like reading long stories so JJ did something to help out such folk.
The Kingfish played around a bit and uploaded the entire Public Service Commission docket in Gemini before ordereing it to create a podcast. The result is worth listening to if one is interesting in this particular clash of corporate titans in Mississippi. Enjoy.

I apologize for my "Cliffs notes" comment. I have vision challenges but should have kept my comment to myself. Thank you for what you do.
What does a politician do if he took money from both sides?
He deflects and tweets from his own echo chamber calling all of his critics and opponents names from the golf course.
Where is Prado's proposed Data Center going in Ridgeland?
You really should ethically disclose when you are being paid to shill.
Recuse themself I guess but no idea how they handle that. 🤷♂️
My coverage of this story has been pretty fair and balanced. Gave quite a bit of space to the power companies' arguments. What part of it was shilling? The media covered the story as well yesterday.
Long live Rule 24. Save the home grown electricity.
But enough about Tariq Adbul-Tawwab posting from Sonny Guy.
@KF
Just disclose how much he is paying you
@10:41 AM - Go away troll.
Mr. Prado's beginning steps for World Domination. Well at least Jackson/Ridgeland.
If there is no interconnection with existing utilities how will an isolated load with its own electric supply affect the utilities??? Entergy would like to spend more money so they can earn a guaranteed return on that investment.
Gabriel Prado = Rudy Warnock with an accent
Does anyone other than KF take this guy seriously?
11:41 am - Calm down, little salaried peasant. Keep saving. You'll be okay.
@10:44
We have our own potential Gus Fring who magically appeared here in the Metro with a bunch of convenience stores selling kratom and THC vapes. Now TV show loving Jimmy the Fish, instead if doing any amount of investigative reporting, is carrying Gus Fring/Gabriel Peado’s jockstrap and taking his ad money.
It’s not trolling. its called ethics. Its called objectivity. Something REAL journalists are supposed to practice. But what you get from this gossip blogger is reposted facebook drama, geopolitical bias, and literal shilling for dual citizens and foreign interests!
So not long ago this Prado guy was making 60k a year as an employee of the City of Clinton. Now he is able to get multimillion dollar loans for projects. What a country we live in. It’s magical. 👀
How has Prado screwed the tax payers? Who has he bribed? He spent years learning Mississippi’s economic development system, then he inherited his dad’s money. Now he’s kicking @$$ and making our community better. Meanwhile you sit around here doing nothing and have the audacity to crap on him.
1:42 - besides cleaning up some gas stations, how has anything he's done made the community better?
How has he made the community better? Top Golf alone was no small accomplishment for Central MS. He owns substantial retail property around town that is well kept, retaining respected tenants. - grocery stores, restaurants and more. All the while he consistently sings the praises of MS as a place to thrive in business. He speaks and listens to his neighbors, both residential and commercial as he plans projects. Long time locals in business and community leadership have slowly been won over by his approach.
