“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” “Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light. And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. And God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.”

 “And God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good.” “And the earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with seed in them, and after their kind; and God saw that it was good.”

 “And God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.” 

“And God created the great sea monsters, and every living creature that moves, with their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good.” 

“And God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.” 

“And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” “And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.”

From the beginning, Jesus has always been full of grace and truth.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”

“There was the true light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
