Kenneth I. Stokes and Jeremy Harris are going at it again. Their feud grabbed headlines Tuesday when Harris called the Jackson Ward 3 Councilman an "unethical clown" while Stokes called Harris a dope dealer. The exchange took place during a City Council meeting. Anxious for a rematch, Harris filed simple assault charges against Stokes. WLBT reported:
On Thursday, Jeremy Harris filed an affidavit in Jackson Municipal Court claiming Ward Three Councilman Kenneth Stokes “committed the act of simple assault” against him, creating fear. According to the affidavit, Stokes did so by “bringing the news channel WLBT to his residence and slandering his name by accusing him of being a drug dealer, while exposing his tag and address to the public.” “He also rides past his house numerous times, making derogatory remarks, causing fear of serious, imminent bodily harm.” Earlier post.

The case was transferred to Hinds County Justice Court since it involves a Jackson elected official.
Kingfish note: Weak case. Won't be surprised if it is dismissed.

Jackson is truly a city of diversity, equity and inclusion, even the city council employs those with special needs.
I appreciate the investigative work of the honorable detective Kenneth Stoke, but it is high time the sleuth flew up to roost.
