Canadians do know South Park is a joke, right?
What am I talking about? CTV News reported Friday:
The Ontario government is giving police temporary powers to enforce its stay-at-home order and allowing them to stop individuals and vehicles and ask their reasons for leaving their homes.
Solicitor General Sylvia Jones made the announcement Friday afternoon as part of the new measures introduced by Premier Doug Ford's government to stop the further spread of COVID-19. .... Rest of article.
Fortunately, the government backed off the new policy after surprise, the police said it would not enforce the draconian tactics:
Ontario reversed course on sweeping new police powers Saturday, just one day after Premier Doug Ford announced the measures that triggered a swift and furious backlash.
Officers will no longer have the right to stop any pedestrian or driver to ask why they're out or request their home address, Solicitor General Sylvia Jones said in a written statement on Saturday evening.
Instead, she said, police will only be able to stop people who they have reason to believe are participating in an “organized public event or social gathering.” Article.
You can't make this up.

No one should be surprised by this.
Yall remember when PRVWSD told us we could not go to the reservoir or in a boat with our own family and the second rate cops patrolling posted an easter sunrise picture from their patrol boat? Would have been nice if Sigmund's posse of overzealous patrolmen would have stood up an not enforced those draconian orders....but they didn't and they were happy to rub it in our faces. F'em.
The insanity of "stopping the spread" of an already-ENDEMIC virus... well... there are no words. A population which his already been exposed (the right way... Nature's way), is less likely to fall-ill from the "variants" - the "new strains".
