Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

Could you please give us the party affiliation of the appointees? I heard there were a lot of liberal ones.
JT was giving them this morning. I think it was 27 R's and 13 D's. I supported Dilbert but got worried when he announced he wanted Medicad expansion. I hope this is not a sign of things to come from Delvin.
9:12. put down the wine, Francis.
9:12, you clowns in today's Republican party would call Ronald Reagan a liberal. Grow up.
Yes there are lots of Democrats but more disheartening I’d Chris McDaniel to one much less so many. This absolutely has me reconsidering that maybe Democrat’s May win in 2020. MCDaniel is not good for any chair!
Why do we always have to "play fair" with the libs when we win, but they shut every door and obstruct when the get a majority? Shut the damn Democrats out! They don't run things! Don't hand them any power.
Is Sarita the freshman daughter of Willie Simmons who gifted the job to his daughterf? If so, her experience as a fry cook at his restaurant will mesh well with her committee duties.
Dagbert tryin' hard to appear inclusive. As a side note: Seventy percent of those listed oppose the State Flag.
I’m still trying to figure out how I can get me a double last name (aka, a hyphenated name) or maybe see if people will start calling me with 3 names..... just so people will know who I am. And by the way, I don’t who know any of these people except very few. Chris McDaniel on Ethics? Really?
"..more disheartening I’d Chris McDaniel to one much less so many.."
What the hell does that even MEAN?
What's more distressing (if you're even moderately interested in fair government and progress) is that Blackmon's name appears at all, much less TWICE!
Voting twice against a bill to increase penalties for dog fighting tells us all we need to know about her and her clientele.
Chris McDaniel as even part of an ethics committee is laughable. But, perhaps, the hope is that he will learn something about ethics.
I’m a solid blue voter, but Delbert has my vote every time. He is a good man.
10:33pm The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence must not have been on your reading list.
You should move to Russian or China...there only the supporters of the ruling party are considered.
Or perhaps you'd like a theocracy? Sadly for you, the only ones that discriminate against other religions are those with either a dictator or a rigged one party system.
But, clearly, that's what some Trumpers want...a powerful leader who can ignore laws and rules of governing to do what he wants and one party rule and who demonizes anyone who disagrees with anything he does.
9:29 - to which JT are you referring? You mean the one that is the waterboy for the State Republican Party and who works for the official radio station of the State Republican Party?
10:02 a.m. "I’m a solid blue voter, but Delbert has my vote every time. He is a good man."
What a shock! A solid blue voter that gives Delbert his vote every time. Delbert campaigned totally on the same agenda that Jim Hood and his Democratic opponent, Jay Hughes, campaigned on - the Democratic policies and programs.
I'm sure he will continue to receive your solid blue vote - because he appeals to your solid blue principals and ideals.
JT is a toad. But that's rather beside the point. His idol, Paulo, is about to retire. What then?
Jan. 10 @10:33 p.m.: When was the last time Democrats had a majority in Mississippi state government? If that ever happens, and if they in fact "shut every door and obstruct" Republican legislators, as you allege, maybe your comment will have some relevance.
2:51 - You ever heard of Billy McCoy? Count back and YOU tell us. Oh, wait. Eddie Briggs? Buddy Newman? What are you...30 years old?
"Chris McDaniel as even part of an ethics committee is laughable."
Not really. First thing comes to mind is "Hi. I'm Mississippi. How you doin, baby? Wanna see my El Camino?"
Cannot believe McDaniels was appointed to even one much less so many committees.
Bottom line is this: When a republican, any republican at any level of government, includes democrats in an attempt to signal a view toward crossing the aisle and holding hands...all he does is open the gates and let the wolves in. Democrats don't see this as any opportunity to work toward common goals. There ARE no common goals.
Delbark has screwed the pooch and has told us he is a modern day William Winter ("Can't we just get along?").
5:09-Eddie Briggs was a Republican Lt. Governor. He was the first Republican to hold that office since reconstruction. Let’s get our facts straight as we seek to give history lessons to the 30 year old wild eyed folks on this blog. However I agree with you that so many have no clue of history or civics. BTW- I think Delbert made some very good Chairman decisions.
5:42 am Your understanding of civics and history is non-existent.
8:22 am I agree with you except I'd wish for a bit more bravery on some appointments.
Of course, some commenter could be " old enough to know better" likely are getting senile or have convenient memory loss. If their memories and observation skills were intact, they'd know that many right wing conservatives in the GOP were DEMs and that it's the prioritizing of self and party over good government that is the problem...including for voters who also go with the flow to benefit either socially or monetarily.
I also am amused by the notion that DEMs of old or now are liberal. The few liberals that exist in Mississippi are scarce and largely ineffective. So what we have is the extreme right and the original GOP who haven't abandoned fiscal conservatism and other traditional conservative values.
10:15–you are so right abut the Mississippi GOP being two factions . The extreme right (who make us like like haters) and the original conservatives. The democrats have the same problem with their fruitcakes (who haven’t a clue ) making their moderates run for cover. I have had the pleasure of working with some very smart and common sense Republicans and Democrats ,however in my long life I have never seen such craziness as we have today.God bless America—-please.
Briggs was a wolf in sheep's clothing. As much a republican as Gerald Steen is.
... the original GOP who haven't abandoned fiscal conservatism and other traditional conservative values.
Traditional conservatives like Thad Cochran who had reservations anytime, anywhere, any decade, any fiscal year to deficit spend our national brains out using borrowed ChiCom money? That sort of fiscal conservatism hasn't been abandoned?
'Common sense Democrat' = oxymoron
Briggs was and is a leader and a statesman. He did not lie about his values to be the chosen boy of the political machine. As evidenced by his life after office, he didn’t need to sponge off the taxpayers to make a living. Delbert seems similar. He will be a refreshing change for sure!
I remember Briggs' Ford dealership in Canton after he left office. But he was never there. He bought it with a low interest loan. Politicians always get low interest loans.
12:o8AM—You can get a low interest loan yourself if you have good credit and a job..Wait you musty not have a job if you’re blogging after midnight.5:33pm—Any US Senator can usually get reservations anytime—get real.If you are having trouble getting reservations you may want to start tipping more than a dollar.
