Leftnenent Governor Delbert Hosemann issued this statement last week on his last day as Secretary of State.
Yesterday,
I administered the oath of office to 122 members of the Mississippi
House of Representatives. This was my last official act as Secretary of
State. I told the members that in the Capitol, there is a rotunda
bridged by walkways to both chambers. This is a great reminder of how we
are bound together in our work to make our State an even better place
for our children and grandchildren.
It has been a privilege to serve you as your Secretary of State for the past 12 years. Thank you for your confidence in our Office, and I look forward to continuing to serve the public in a new capacity in the Lieutenant Governor’s Office.
