60% Approve of Governor's Performance

Mississippians haven't had their fill of Phil as they gave him a 60% job approval rating in the latest Mason-Dixon poll.  60% of registered voters approved of his job performance while 33% disapproved.  Meanwhile, 56% of the respondents approved of President Trump's job performance.  The sample was 625 likely Mississippi voters with a margin of error of four points.

The racial diversity in Mississippi is spread across approximately 59% Caucasians, 37.5% African Americans, 1.2% two or more races, 1% Asians, .9% other races, and .4% Native North Americans.

Coincidence? Nope. Mississippi is racially divided as ever. Closet Klan hillbillies still run everything - starting with Philbilly. Go against them, and you will be further punished economically....and while they're grinnin' in your face saying, "Bless your heart, you just don't understand how we do things here."

What else would you expect, even after Trump is indicted these yoyos in Missippi will support him. Farmers can't sell their crops, the car industry is reeling from tariffs too. The tax cut benifets don't even buy a 6 pack. The deficit is going out the roof and the majority love him, you try figuring that out. As for Phil it ain't his fault, Tater done run roughshod over the state the last 8 years.

Mississippi has the best politicians that money can buy. You can take that to the bank.

Two thumbs down for Phil from me. As usual, I'm not in step with my fellow Mississippians even though born and raised here.

Why do blacks disapprove so overwhelmingly of Trump ? What has he done to them other than get a lot of them jobs they didn't have ? Serious question.

Why do blacks disapprove so overwhelmingly of Trump?

They are told to and they do what they are told. Look at their voting patterns for all the evidence you need.

I'm proud to be in the 40%, and I am white, conservative, educated, and over 50. Phil is an embarrassment to our state.

Anonymous said...

8:42 For the same reasons you would disapprove of a white democrat candidate no matter what he said or might be doing. He draws flies like a garbage can. A politician has a "base" he caters to and protects. You cannot take the man without his base. He draws flies. With Trump it's those big green flies who carry their rebel flags and talk about bringing back the good ole days and think Black people who have little or nothing have been getting too much. Black people have no reason to see friends or comfort among "Trump's people" but he must play to them. It ain't just him it's what he brings with him. Can you understand that? Do you want to understand?

Ditto, 8:59.

JFP burns an edition interviewing someone pegging in at a paltry 9%, without even a remote chance to win, to a readership that is predominantly Jackson Democrats. LOL

60% of MS likes Bryant. 90% of JJ hates him.
I like this blogs, but it's readers are a bit skewed.

Ashamed to say that I voted for Phil both times, but I can't say that I approve of the job he's done. Problem is we really didn't have a suitable alternative in whoever the other candidates were. As has been said many times on this blog, the guv really has very little power in this state, so Phil has pretty much been the face of our state gov't. Tater has much more legislative power as Lt. Guv, and I put more the blame on him and his cronies for the state's performance, or lack thereof, over the last eight years. I'll be glad to see Feel ride off into the sunset, but I won't be happy to see his replacement whoever that ends up being (Tater or Hood). Please GOD, please let somebody else come forward that will give those two clowns a run for their money!!!

56% is what Tater will win by... That's what this poll says. About 4% of you are the supposed white conservatives who are never Tater, and never Trump. Keep buying into the establishment media anti-trump hype while cashing your checks, expanding your businesses and paying less at the pump... oh and ensuring a pro-constitution Supreme Court for years to come! And while small and midsized cars are down a few percentage points from last year, light-duty trucks and SUVs are way up! But, damn if his tweets aren't like the princess and the pea to you!

First - well stated, everything you said was on point. Do they actually want to understand? Hell no - they want confirmation for their personal beliefs so they can stay comfortably numb and ignore facts.

Why do blacks disapprove so overwhelmingly of Trump ?

hell, because he's a habitual liar and a con-artist. You can constantly catch him in a lie, you can constantly catch his enablers covering for his bullsh*t!?

They are told to and they do what they are told.

How is that any different from the majority of white Mississippians that vote Republican?

It goes to show you why Tate Reeves repeats the same talking points - "fake news media" "Hollywood liberals" "conservative values"

But the onus of the political paradigm shift falls on 40% of Mississippians population!?

The state remains in dead last because the majority keeps us here by continuously electing garbage candidates that only look out for the wealthiest people in this state!?

Head Football Coach: [Goes 6-6 after going to multiple consecutive bowls in toughest division in football]

Mississippians: FIRE HIS ASS!!! Run him out of town!! This is an EMBARRASSMENT!! Don't TELL ME we cain't compete for national championships! What a joke!!

Gov. Phil Bryant: [Consistently places Mississippi in the bottom five for economic growth, last in per capita income, last in education. Drives away business with pointless discriminatory laws. Has no coherent plan to change any of this.]

Mississippians: That Phil sure is a nice feller. Wish we could elect him again.

Truer words have never been spoken. It is pretty ridiculous that the bulk of the 60%'s lives could be improved if conditions for all Mississippians are improved. However, they do not want some of the 37%'s to appear better than them.

If the 37%'s disappeared from MS, we would still rank no better than 46th in most categories under the current ruling party. We'd probably only pass WV, LA, and AR.

Please give us some truly viable candidates in this state, who want to exact positive change on this state. I am not talking about entitlements and all your other dog whistle phrases that incites the base.

I want a better MS and USA. This two party BS is for the birds.

Can any of the ultra conservatives speak in their own words without using terms like “establishment” “main stream media” “socialism”? No, because they aren’t capable of speaking on their own with their own words. And, there are plenty of liberals that are the same way. It is a shame such a large part of our population can’t think own its own and must be lead like pack of mindeless sheep.

Anonymous said...

@9:42, you mean like that political party or group of people who think I owe reparations(or owe anything in general) to a certain group of people who I have never met, who apparently their ancestors were treated unfairly by people both of us have never met? "That Base" they cater too thinking someone owes them something. That kind of the same thing?

@8:42, Trump has never provided proof that something he has done resulted in an increase in black employment. In fact, he has done nothing. Total employment numbers for everyone, including blacks, has increased because the working age population has increased. As a percentage of working age blacks, there has not been an appreciable increase.

@12:52, nobody wants anything from you except respect.

Ask the boys at the FED. We are still riding the Obama Wave. Trump is starting trade wars and raising the defecit, since when have those things fueled an economic surge?

I thought about this for a little while and I can't name a single notable thing Phil Bryant has done for this state or its citizens. Not a single thing.

2:20 Funny how when the population aged 8 years under Obama and unemployment consistently rose that it was Bush's fault. When Trump implemented reduced corporate regulation and reduced taxes and unemployment plummeted it is because the population aged two years.

2:20 is awarded the dumbest post of the year to date, and that is saying something!

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
