I totally agree 11:32. He's openly advertising his racism, so that we can point a finger at him. Think about all the ones like him that outwardly say nothing, and work in the shadows of our society to keep this kind of deviance going. They live in our neighborhoods, go to our churches and schools, work in our offices. When will it stop, and how can we stop them.

If a white politician was to make such repeated racist statements, everyone (fellow politicians, the media, etc) would be calling him out and demanding his/her resignation. Listening to Kenny Stokes "speak" tells me all I need to know about the cognitive abilities of the voters in his ward.

Stokes is not the problem, he is the chief symptom. The solutions to his problems are for other "folks" to find. As long as there are people on the low end of the totem pole, there will be a Stokes to be their mouthpiece. It could be worse, they could have no voice, then they would riot, loot, and burn.

I just donated 30 minutes of my life listening to this crap. I learned that Jackson is a black city and "we needs to learn how to get the money." my wife went to the orange peel this weekend. said how the ramshackle homes had daffodils growing--from when the homes were cared for. she thought that one day, perhaps, new homeowners could come and fix them up and the neighborhood would look like it did when the daffodils were loved.

There cannot be any help for Jackson because Jackson does not want help. They only want you to throw more money at them so they can waste it! If Jackson is just left to its own devices it will eventually cave in on itself.

This is exactly what every resident of NE Jackson said thru the 90s and we see how well it worked. At some point, folks are going to have to make guys like Stokes feel consequences.

Madison County is very dangerous place to live. A good place is Byram, Terry, or Crystal Springs. There is too much traffic in Madison County. The public infrastructure can't keep up with new people moving in. Go south!!! There is lot of prime land. Just because Kenny speaks doesn't mean yall have to move to Madison County. Hey Rankin County is the place to live for yuppies. Hey Lt Gov. Tater Head is the biggest yuppie that lives in Rankin County.

I don't listen to most of stokes mumbo jumbo but I do think he's right on other jurisdictions' police chasing suspects into Jackson. Over half the time Rankin county is chasing folks for very minor infractions and it's just not worth the risk to other people on the roads. Now if they are in hot pursuit of someone who has abducted a child or a serial killer or something of that nature then my opinion would certainly be different but it's not worth the risk to chase people all over hazzard for transporting a gallon of moonshine or shoplifting a steak from the piggy wiggly.

Your attitude is the problem. Small crimes don't deserve attention? Are you a business owner? I doubt it. If you were you would appreciate the efforts of the LEO's in surrounding municipalities to keep their communities safe and crime free. Part of the reason the criminal element leaves Jackson for their crimes is because they keep hearing from Kenneth (and others) that they will not tolerate the outside agencies following criminals into Jackson. The other part is there are so few businesses left in Jackson from which they can steal. Open your own business, watch the thieves steal your profits, then come back and comment about how these so called "petty" crimes should not be prosecuted. Better yet, tell your thug friends to keep their stealing asses in Jackson!

Let's learn to read AND comprehend. I did not say that petty crimes should not be prosecuted. I said high speed chases over petty crimes is not worth the risk to other people on the roads. Not that it's relevant but I previously owned a business in Jackson on Gallatin st, it was years ago but I never got robbed and just for the record I do not have thug friends.

As for "something of that nature" refers to a common sense decision is the supposed crime worth the risk to other drivers, perps and the Leo's involved in the chase. Several years ago in Jones county a deputy chased a vehicle at very high speeds over attempting to pull them over for a broken headlight. The result was a crash in which the 3 young occupants of the fleeing vehicle were killed. They were addicts and had a small amount of drugs on them and previous charges which is why they ran. Now they could have just as easily crashed into another vehicle as they did that tree. Yes they made the decision to run and paid for it with their lives and yes that deputy knew the risks to them, himself and other people on the road when he made the decision to pursue them at high speeds and no, I don't think he should have chased them. As far as he knew at that moment, their only crime was a broken headlight. As to why they chose to run, he could only suspect. It wasn't worth it.

All this talk about racism doesn't make sense. This video is plain evidence that a black boy can grow up and become just as mind-bogglingly stupid (stupid, not ignorant) as any white boy out there. Maybe that should be Mississippi's new slogan: "We'uns Ain't Racist - We'uns is Jus All Stupid! Think of the savings! Each state branch of government and every agency, bureau, school district, city and county government and even wannabe white-shoe law firm could go in together and bulk buy t-shirts, Yeti tumblers and window decals.
