Sulton goes down. Six feet down.

Here is the dead suspect who tried to kill police officers yesterday in Ridgeland  yesterday:

We have seen this scumbag's name before back in October. WLBT reported:

Jackson Police have identified a suspect in the Thursday armed robbery and shooting of a man at a Fortification Street convenience store.

In a press release JPD Officer Colendula Green said detectives identified 22-year-old Mike Sulton as one of the suspects.

Green said on Thursday Precinct 2 officers responded to 359 E. Fortification St., West Express Service Station regarding a shooting. Upon officers' arrival it was learned that a subject had been shot at least once in the upper torso in the parking lot. The victim was transported to UMC for medical treatment and is in stable condition.

During the investigation it was learned that the victim, identified as 58-year-old Lamar Joseph, was arm robbed at the location by two subjects occupying a silver vehicle. At least one of the suspects shot Joseph. Joseph was an ATM technician at the location and was returning to his vehicle when he was approached by the suspects. The suspects were able to flee the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Green said Sulton has been charged with strong arm robbery and aggravated assault stemming from the incident.

Detectives still need assistance in identifying the other assailant involved in this incident.
Anyone with any information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of Mike Sulton is urged to contact the Jackson Police Department at 601-960-1234 or 601-355-TIPS. Mr. Sulton should be considered armed and dangerous.

Mr. Sulton is apparently no longer dangerous as he is headed to an institution that is six feet under.  There were at least two outstanding warrants for his arrest when he tried to kill police officers yesterday.

Good riddance! He saved the taxpayers a ton of money by showing us how stupid he was.

How long before an investigation by Obama, holder, Sharpton, and Jackson concerning police brutality and discrimination?

I'd love for them to try to do it. I would have a field day with them.

only better outcome would have been for him to take his own life in the middle of the woods somewhere where nobody even had to clean his @ss up. what a piece of trash who preyed on hard-working, innocent people and then put more innocent bystanders at risk.

When I was living in California, the Kern County Sheriff shot and killed a murderer-rapist that was holding a young girl hostage. During the interview afterwards when it was known that the deceased had previously been convicted he made the comment" There's one we wont have to rehabilitate".
I think that is appropriate in this case as well.

How long has it been since the two outstanding warrants been signed. Does the J.P.D. ever bother to look for anyone with with warrants? I know they won't arrest anyone with a misdemeanor warrant unless they're arrested in the commission of another crime.

Kingfish said...

They've been looking for him. I think some of you are starting to realize JPD does a better job than given credit for and many of the problems lie elsewhere.

Sheriff Tucker said that the car he was in was reported involved in several other incidents in the county earlier how can that be when he had just jacked the car Or had he checked it earlier

Some cars are reported stolen when actually the title has been given for drugs. Not all reported stolen cars belong to honorable citizens.

Our upstanding citizen was (of course) a resident of Jackson and a Gangster Disciple (the same gang under question in the Jessica Chambers murder.)

@11:40, Tucker was referring to the car Sulton had stolen in Crystal Springs and drove to Madison.

These thugs know when a cop draws his gun, he's shoots to kill. He got exactly what he wanted. Absolutely no sympathy for him. Hope his baby mama tells his kid he committed suicide, not that he was killed by cops.

Its kilt, not killed. Where did you go to school, JPS?

When can we expect the 'hands up don't shoot' rally to kick off here for this animal? I know it's not "Christian-like" of me to be happy that a scumbag is dead--but hey, I don't think Jesus lived amongst gang bangers...or else he may have said 'blessed are the cops for they protect the meek and innocent'

This is the man that shot my brother in Jackson while he was servicing his ATM machines. He stole a lot of money and shot him. My brother has lost use of his left hand and though we are happy they got the shooter we would like the JPD to find the other 2 involved. I knew this guy would surface once the money was gone. I believe he was caught by committing another crime, not sure the police were really looking for him!!! I want the police to find all involved in this crime or it will just be a matter of time before they rob or heaven forbid kill someone.

I have been angry with Ridgeland Police for writing tickets to honorable citizens such as myself.

I will forgive them at this time.

I seemed to have missed the outrage in the African American community or by anyone when a violent, armed offender is killed during an arrest.

The outrage seems to be limited to teens who weren't committing felonies and to unarmed suspects.

But, perhaps, y'all can find examples of protest by non-family members about a violent offender being killed by police.

I can however, think of many violent white murderers being arrested without blood shed. Bell comes immediately to mind.

7:49, I'm sorry, I seemed to have missed the outrage in the African American community or by anyone when THIS CRIMINAL was killed in the course of fleeing from this crime. Are you honestly trying to suggest that this case is the same as the Eric Garner case? I would love to have an explanation for that.

7:49, you're fighting a losing battle by trying to reason with facts that don't fit their narrative.

Anonymous said...

He was probably an easy target, kinda hard to run, fire your weapon at the police and hold your pants up all at the same time.

8:17, I think you misread 7:49's comments. Earlier posters gave their standard Sharpton, Holder, Obama black boogeymen response, and 7:49 was pointing out that he hadn't ever seen protests for anyone killed while trying to murder a cop. You're both saying the same thing. Also, he didn't make any comparison to the Garner case.

Kingfish said...

I don't think they will. Guy was involved in the October robberies. He's on the run. Steals car, crashes into police car after a chase, then shoots two windshields of police cars. You won't see protests over this one. I think everyone gets that when you shoot at cops, you get whats coming to you.

All I will say about Ferguson is that in most jurisdictions when you start punching a cop in the face while he is in a vulnerable position, go for his gun, mark him up, its not going to end well for you in some form or fashion. I doubt in New Orleans he would have gotten far away enough to charge at the officer.

New York? got major problems with that one. Of course, the damn law was stupid in the first place.

10:30. I'm 8:17. We were certainly not saying the same thing. 7:49 assumed that people would protest this case because people have protested other high profile cases. I'm saying it is ridiculous to make that assumption. Assuming that the only reason for those other protests (like Eric garner, where some form of protest was very much merited) was because a black man was killed by a cop (and thus, that people would protest here because a black guy was killed by a cop) is a gross mischarachterization of what happened in these other cases that have sparked protest. I would otherwise let 7:49's ignorance slide, but police brutality, where it exists, is a serious issue that shouldn't be written off by merely saying "these protesters are just playing the race card."

10:30 here. My interpretation of 7:49's comments are that he (or she) offered a sarcastic response to earlier suggestions that there would be protests. He clearly stated that he has not seen any outrage from any community in a situation like this. That was in direct response to the earlier posts. Furthermore, he said that people are outraged in other (dissimilar) situations because UNARMED persons who are NOT committing felonies are being killed. He essentially said no one has or is protesting for an attempted cop killer, but they're understandably outraged when an unarmed person is killed. I wish 7:49 would step up and defend himself, but I think you're misreading his comments.

7:49 am I assumed no such thing. Reread my post at 10:49

What I assumed, if anything, is that the protests of African Americans are not without some justifiable basis for mistrust as not only the case of Garner indicates, but the shooting of the kid in the park and the Walmart shooting and a less than clean past history when it comes to inequitable treatment.

No doubt, criminals take advantage of protests as a cover to loot and steal and those folks deserve scorn.

But, for goodness sakes, we are forever taking sides before the facts are in and then everyone defends their initial position to the bitter end.

Any rational options that could have prevented the extreme outcome are lost. Any understanding becomes lost. Facts are casualties.

This is what crazy people do when disagreements arise. It's not what rational, enlightened , civilized people are suppose to do!

KF, I'm not entirely persuaded given your post of the transcript that those bruises were there before the shooting or that Brown's prior theft was even known at the time.

This is a situation that should have warranted a jury trial but the grand jury was treated as if they were a jury that should deliver a verdict and NOT, instead, look at probable cause. The instructions at the end were wrong as well. You know they were a misstatement of the law.

This teen did the wrong thing. He was unarmed. The policeman's life was never in danger as the shots occurred from 30 ft away.

Apparently, everyone thinks that the death penalty should be given for minor assault and for petty theft and that teens can never turn their lives around.

There's more than a few respectable, successful conservatives in town that did worse as teens!

" He was unarmed. The policeman's life was never in danger as the shots occurred from 30 ft away. "

Stop lying. The thug had powder burns on his hand (per the autopsy) because he had already grabbed the officer's weapon in the patrol car and discharged it - guess what - that could have killed the cop. Any reasonable person, under those circumstance, would fear for their life if the assailant turned and started charging again from 30 feet away (again from the grand jury testimony and the comment overheard on a cell phone, made by a bystander watching the scene unfold).

The grand jury got it right - there is no way a group of 12 jurors would unanimously decide there was no reasonable doubt about any charges that could be brought against the officer.

FYI - at least one of the black witnesses who supported the officer's testimony have been murdered in Ferguson since the verdict was released.

I always thought it was called "suicide by cop". Why else would anyone, any color.... charge an office or grab for his gun?

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
