Chris McDaniel filed a response to Harrison County's response to his motion for reconsideration for the denial of his petition for a writ of mandamus against Harrison County. Did you get all that? Don't have time to write about this filing but it is posted below. One interesting quote:
Once an individual goes in to redact the birthdates, he/she could also manipulate other parts of the records, weakening or strengthening one’s potential challenge.

Mr. Tyner should be embarrassed to have filed this.
It is time for judicial sanctions to discourage this sort of nonsense!
So now the argument is that the clerks could commit fraud? Wow... That's one hell of a conspiracy theory but not much of a legal argument.
"Once an individual goes in to redact the birthdates, he/she could also manipulate other parts of the records, weakening or strengthening one’s potential challenge."
By the same analogy, once McD's team goes in to look at unredacted records, he/she could manipulate other parts of the records to strengthen their challenge.
If my county gives this cook-fest my DOB and other personal information I will file suit against my county.
How did McDaniels ever get a law degree ?
Can't believe he was almost the Rpublican
nominee.
This sounds like it was drafted in the bus that stayed parked in Hattiesburg all day.
Tyner still ignores the fact that McD has no need to see birth dates when the poll books assign a unique ID no. to each name anyway. Also, when he has raised and spent millions why the cost of redaction would be prohibitive, especially when McD's people admitted he spent about $100,000 to date on lawyers to get to see every one's private info. His latest financial filing shows he has plenty of bucks to buy redacted copies of poll books. So since none of this makes any sense, it must just be a game, or a chance to whine about McD's loss. Sanctions under the MS Litigation Accountability Act are in order since he has no hope of success for these transparently spurious arguments. Until sanctioned, he will continue to impugne every one else's integrity and throw legal tantrums.
That's the way to get your name out there so you can have a political career - - - - - NOT!! What is wrong with this idiot?? Did his Mama drop him on his head repeatedly when he was a baby??? There is something seriously wrong with his thinking and just in case he hasn't gotten the message - He is FINISHED IN POLITICS!!
Not true 9:05. If you've seen any footage of the review taking place, you know there are observers from both sides of the controversy sitting there watching the process. But, I guess it possible that a McDaniel worker might holler "Look! A bird!" And point out the window and then really wreak havok.
Never have understood why birthdate cannot be public information. It is when you go to school, if you are arrested, often in newspapers when you are born, etc. What is the big secret? Just so some can shave off a few years?
5:33. The footage suggests that both sides are sitting on opposite sides of the table and not next to each other. Are the observers standing over the reviewer's shoulders or just in the room?
How else would the McD camp come up with such inflated numbers?
Would. Not. Hire. These. Fools. To. Represent. Me.
EVER.

Yeah, you might as well broadcast your birth date on Facebook, your website etc. since: "What's the big secret?". I'm sure there will be certain profit minded elements in cyber space--like from Nigeria-- that will appreciate and take advantage of your willingness to step out there. They will also appreciate your kindly answering their emails as to the rest of your data in return for a big reward.
8:42 was obviously on of those delusional 'Hanging Chad Counters' in a previous life. What an assinine theory.
Interesting sidelight on the quotation that Kingfish pulled out about clerks manipulating the election records.
I'm sure that many will scoff at the notion that a candidate cannot trust the registrar/circuit clerks, but I've personally witnessed this in two election contests.
In 1991, I caught the Leflore County Circuit Clerk forging hundreds of absentee ballots in a desperate attempt to gain re-election. She literally sat in her kitchen along with her cohorts and manufactured them all there. I caught her by the postmarks on the envelopes she mailed them back in. She plead guilty to voter fraud.
In Tunica County in 1995, the Circuit Clerk altered and doctored absentee ballot applications for around 70 voters to make them qualify to be opened and counted. I know this happened, because I have copies of the "before" and "after" versions - both copies supplied through public records requests from the Circuit Clerk herself.
So no, in my personal experience conducting election contests, a candidate who is investigating an election cannot really afford to trust anybody about what's in the records and whether documents have been forged or altered.
Of course I little trust in unelected zealots of the kind who sneak into nursing homes and post the video online and who sneak into courthouses after hours with no plausible explanation to properly handle sensitive and private information. Next thing you know information will be posted online much like the gay rights zealots did with confidential donors to the California marriage initiative. Only difference is it's right wing zealots instead of left wing zealots. I am conservative, and by some lights, right wing, but I don't want McDaniel supporters rummaging through my sensitive and private information.
Name/Address/DOB are just not sensitive private information. They were all completely public - even in MS - until recently.
Besides that, McDaniel has access by right under MCA Section 23-15-911 to the actual contents of the ballot boxes themselves, which contain far more personal information about some of the voters than just DOB. There are SSN numbers in there, disability status, information about some voters illiteracy, recent illness, etc.
The whole idea that DOB is somehow sacred secret info is not credible anymore. Most states publish it in their voter roll info to the public already.
