The Chris McDaniel campaign issued this press release:
We’re making progress in our investigation of last month’s runoff election, but we still need your support to make sure we discover the truth. Please, help me make sure we find out what really happened in the corrupt U.S. Senate election in Mississippi.
Since the Republican runoff was stolen last month, we’ve been hard at work in pursuit of the truth about what happened leading up to the election. We’ve made a tremendous amount of progress, and we’ve discovered thousands of voting irregularities. If we find that any illegal activity occurred, we must hold them accountable.
Conservatives from all around the country have encouraged me to continue my fight, and I couldn’t be prouder to have their support. Even Ted Cruz said, “these allegations need to be vigorously investigated,” and that’s exactly what we’re going to do.
More importantly, grassroots conservatives have reached out in my support. It will take thousands of dollars to mount a formidable legal challenge, and I’m counting on grassroots supporters like you to help me in my investigation. Can you contribute $50 to help ensure the integrity of our elections in Mississippi?
It is our responsibility to protect Mississippi’s elections. We can’t let liberal, out-of-state groups decide the outcome – we have to fight back, and I’m committed to fighting this court battle until the very end.
The Mississippi Republican Party issued this statement:
Jackson, MS. –– Joe Nosef, Chairman of the Mississippi Republican Party, issued the following statement today regarding the recent lawsuit filed by True the Vote:
"This out of state group 'True the Vote' continues in its attempts to make a mockery of our legal system. While their legal filings literally make no claim at all against the MSGOP, their public statements indicate otherwise in an effort to mislead Mississippi voters. Their first 'demand' was for the MSGOP to order action by people who don't even work for us. Next, they claimed we were not granting proper access to records that we don't have. And they have now accused us of destroying this same evidence which we still don't have and instead is in the possession of 82 different circuit clerks. We will not only defend ourselves but will seek sanctions against every single plaintiff because of this frivolous litigation brought against the MSGOP."

Ann Coulter nails it, as usual.
Wish the establishment republicans would get this aggressive against the democrats!
This shows they know how to fight when they WANT to.
Glad to see Joe come out swinging. The GOP has one of the top litigators in the state representing them. This will cost the MS plaintiff's some serious $$$
sanctions for frivolous filings in state court is rare; however, its a different ball game in Federal Court.
Which district judge drew this case?
Coulter mis-states election law when she claims the challenger has to prove how the illegal votes were cast. O'neal v. Simpson says quite the contrary.
Surprised that a legal beagle like Coulter would make that sort of slip up.
No doubt McDaniel is milking this to raise funds to support his efforts.
And I think that the MS GOP is improperly named as a part. Aside from Joe Nosef's inflamed rhetoric, he states the basic facts correctly about the MS GOP possessing none of the records requested.
Too bad MS GOP didn't bring the suit itself, and, in the interests of greater public access to voting records, seek that NVRA be applied to the production of voter records in Mississippi.
I have always voted Republican but I am afraid that this major split (almost 50/50) is going to doom the Mississippi GOP. There is no way a divided GOP is going to win in November. THE DEMOCRATS ARE LAUGHING THEIR BUTTS OFF AT OUR IN FIGHTING.
Three sad things have come out of this in fighting 1) a fine gentleman took his own life 2) It is my understanding that Senator Cochran did not want to run for re-election but the Barbour machine made him run. He could have retired as a true Statesman loved by most Mississippians. NOW BY THE UNDERHANDED TRICKS HE PULLED TO WIN, HIS NAME IS MUD TO ALMOST 50% OF MISSISSIPPIANS. 3) The Mississippi GOP is divided forever due to the crooked tactics that they used against ONE OF OUR OWN REPUBLICANS.
SAD, SAD, SAD.
Was McDaniel wearing a plaid jacket with and playing a banjo when he made that press release? It is the same old song, but what verse is he on now? The majority of the citizens are getting tired of the political grandstanding with the accusations and allegations of a stolen election and illegal voting. We want to see how many of the thousands of irregularities in voting will be proven as illegal votes.
Nothing inflamed about his rhetoric. They are serious about sanctions, especially against the Mississippi plaintiffs. Mike Wallace from Wise Carter is representing the party. Expect to see more, specifically regarding sanctions on WLBT and WAPT tonight.
The MS Litigation Accountability Act is just what these later day Joe McCarthys need to face.
Along with Rule 11. Time to face the music. Dom dee Dom Dom.
Wish the establishment republicans would get this aggressive against the democrats!
This shows they know how to fight when they WANT to.
Amen to that!
I am curious about how much money McDaniel has raised and where it's going. He keeps asking for money so I guess his money raising efforts are not generating what he needs to keep this charade going.
I am not an expert on campaign finance and required disclosure, especially in a situation like this where the election is over. Does anyone know if he is required to report this money?
Actually Uncle Thaddeus should have stayed in the democRAT luncheon. He fits right in with the likes of dingy harry and screwhead Pelosi .... Come to think of it he probably was headed there intentionally and only acted confused and disoriented when he was spotted.
Right on, 11:59!
Excerpt from an article in yesterday's Wall Street Journal: "......If conservatives really want to address (those) problems, they should elect a Republican Senate majority. A GOP Senate could stop the President's worst appointees, including judicial nominees. It could use budget reconciliation to pass policy reforms on ObamaCare, energy and other issues that the President would pay a political price for vetoing. And a GOP Senate could add its oversight power to dig into government abuses like the IRS political targeting.
Republicans aiming to rebuild a governing majority should be making a systematic case about the failures of Democratic governance that include slow growth and stagnant incomes, fewer health-care choices and higher costs, growing world disorder, and more........."
Republicans are ALWAYS taking their eyes off the ball! While I can't say I disagree with CM for wanting to get to the bottom of things, this whole thing is doing "Republicans" (conservatives) no good at all! Just like the circular firing squad that was the 2012 Republican Candidate Presidential "debates," we're killing ourselves here, because regardless of the outcome of this investigation, the losing side is going to start making the case for voting for Childers or not voting at all (which will be tantamount to the same thing)
People (conservatives), let's break the habit of being self-destructive! Let's let CM's campaign run his investigation, and if he's found right, so be it.......but in the end, ALL (that's right, ALL) conservatives MUST get behind whomever is determined to be the Republican nominee! (I'll GLADLY vote for the "other guy" vs. the Democrat) And, NO, voting for the Democrat or not voting at all is NOT the same thing! I may not end up liking who is the eventual nominee, but WHOMEVER he is, it's better than the Democrat alternative (I heard that, and YES, it is!)
Republicans are terrible about taking the "I'm so mad at you, I'm gonna burn MY house down" attitude, and we're paying for it (literally) in the form of ObaMaoCare, 17T in debt, etc. WE are the ones who elected Pelosi and ObaMao (the 2nd time) by not voting, "because we want to send a message" or not voting "because Romney's a Mormon or not conservative enough, etc."
Democrats vote to win. We should follow their play book!
1:29 - In what way is Cochran a Democrat? In every social issue he is very conservative. As David Hampton said in his editorial this Sunday, Cochran and McDaniel would probably vote the same 99% of the time. The only difference is that McDaniel claims he would be more fiscally conservative. But would he really? He rails against Common Core, but he has voted to fund it several times. I understand that it is just a part of the Department of Education's budget, but in a conservative state and a member of the majority party, shouldn't he have at least put up a fight? Yet, he did not. In what way, as a member of the Mississippi Senate, has he made Mississippi more fiscally conservative? None to my knowledge. If he could not or was unwilling do that in conservative Mississippi, how do you think he would have voted with Harry Reid blocking the Republicans at every move in the US Senate? I don't think he would have voted any differently than Cochran.
What kind of time might this Sims man face if convicted of some of those allegations? How bad can it get when one man has already DIED as a result of this mess. It is beginning to look like New Orleans politically. If an arrest is made, I am sure the bond will be at least $250,000.00, because that is what it is for knowing and sharing an entrance code in a Mississippi based nursing home.
Has McDaniel moved to the coast? Every TV interview has been from Mary Mahoneys - my sources in Jones County confirm he's not been home!
My goodness. The Gore/Lieberman people from 2000 have nothing on the McDaniel campaign. What a bunch of crybabies.
The Cochran campaign took a page from Rush Limbaugh's playbook - have people already forgotten Operation Chaos? - and got the job done. All's fair in love, war and politics.
Lick your wounds and move on. Watch some game tape and come back next time with a better plan.
Did someone really Cite David Hampton as an authority on conservativism?
Joe Nosef - "if you want to hide something from True The Vote, just put it in the Law books".
Ann Coulter's column was interesting today.
I guess all the TPs think she's " gone over to the Dark Side"!
What exactly is the Difference in Cochran's OUT OF STATE money and McDaniel's OUT OF STATE money?? We had an Election-the Votes are counted, time to move on,work together and have a Victory in November--
inflamed rhetoric - McDasniels did that just after the election saying 35,000 illegal votes.
I hope he is run out of politics.
Just now reading 1:55's comment and every Mississippian who cares about our country should pay special heed to what he/she is saying. We must keep our eyes on taking the Senate and holding the House. Nothing else will help us. It is the vote that matters and we have a better chance if we are unified. Let's get to it!
McDaniel is way mo better. He ain't just the True Conservative. He is 110% conservative. Except for voting Democrat and he only got caught once so far. No sirree. He is a gonna detect fraud, "out" folks, and get all those names, addresses, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers with the aid of our Constitution wavin' Texans and Paytriots!!! Fight Chris Fight. Run Forrest Run! Don't let Non TeaParty out of state money keep you from your God Given Right to be a less popular Senator than Ted Cruz! Chris is a Conservative made fromparts of us lesser Conservatives! Sending you money TODAY so you kin stop Thad from sending us money tomorrow!
Don't forget, however, that every hour on the hour some staffer has the role of waking Thad up and telling him what's going on with the challenge and here on this blog site.
Meanwhile, Haley is at Coon-Camp sipping on Southern Comfort and laughing at all you republican hicks who have followed him to the end of the gang plank.
The only difference between Ricky Cole and Haley Barbour is....well, shit, IS there one?
That's right. Haley Barbour is a liberal. Thad Cochran is a liberal. And Ronald Reagan was a liberal. Why, every single one of you Republicans are liberals. The Republicans are Democrats. And the Incumbent is a cyborg!!! Stop callin Chris a sore loser!!! He is a fightin' the Liberals!!
Best line of the night 7:34 -- "Sending you money TODAY so you kin stop Thad from sending us money tomorrow!"
8:15
Have you sent in your fifty dollars this week?
Chris McDaniel is campaigning on the promise he will eliminate wasteful federal spending and save our Republic, but his six years at the state Capitol suggest he's known less for fiscal responsibility than for hometown resolutions, commendations and car tag bills.
Mr. McDaniel's rousing stump speeches about reducing the size of government, balancing the budget and repealing Obamacare sound very, very appealing, but his legislative record is about as hollow as a plastic straw when it comes to fiscal responsibility. There's not a single bill he authored aimed at cutting waste.
Rotflmao @ 7:34.....
"We gon' find that 'lection fraud an keep on fightin' teh infedels!
Now, if you'll just send us the paltry sum of $50, we can ensure the integrity of our elections process."
Gotta admit, McDaniel's hustle game is pretty strong.
9:19 -- you get a prayer cloth with your donation and a copy of the Constitution.
The lawsuit is seeking legal fees as a part of their suit so, if their case is so worthy, why does Chris need to raise money from them? And, if True to Vote is solvent and a " for real" organization, why don't they have the money?
Nope...they need you marks.
Southern republicans created this mess. They know damn well we need all the money we can get from the Feds. Thad, Trent, Haley, chip, gene, roger, all of em! All of them are democrats from the beginning. They turned republican just to divide the blacks and whites in this state.
Hot button issues like, state flag, affirmative action, gun rights, etc. shit that really don't matter. Non issues! Most whites fell for it. White democrats are virtually non existent now in mississippi. The problem is....the damn tea party morons actually believed what they were saying. Now you got a group of lunatics that are really trying to be fiscally responsible in a welfare state!
The southern strategy was doomed from the beginning. Kinda like hating a central government by starting another damn central government. You guessed it..the confederacy was doomed from the beginning. So now the tea party wants to cut. Spending, eliminate the department of education, states rights, yada yada yada. We've heard this shit before. I got news for you, it ain't happening.
The truth is ...they have never ever been conservative.
In the south conservative was a code word for let's vote opposite of black people. All but a few southern whites fell for it. Now the tp morons are trying to hold you to it. As you saw in this election. Blacks and whites will join together to keep the money rolling in. Tea party morons should just start another party.

Shhhh. You're gonna risk blowing Chris McD's cover story for this $$$ grifting op.
The McDaniel camp could've even had one of their own TP members litigate this case pro bono. She's a seasoned attorney who has practiced before this judge on the bench. Surely she made quite an impression on Judge Wingate, just as she made an impression on me and millions of other Americans when her work was highlighted on CNN, MSNBC, et al.
If you're interested in reading more about this famous TP attorney, I gave more details in a coment on the blog post preceding this one at this JJ site. It's too long to repeat here. I'm unsure of the case disposition, but case number is in other post w case dox as well. Happy reading.
~ @limitedintel
P.S. I've never seen an attorney receive sanctions > $70K in one trial, but I suppose it couuld happen. It would be fun to watch when it does.
Who is the seasoned attorney?
Where is Melanie???? The coast maybe?
