Aw, the libs are putting something else out to support Cochran.
What's the difference between a liberal republican and a liberal democrat?
That's right, absolutely nothing.
Just one of those 'little facts' that get in the way of a good story. McDaniel and his crew will just ignore the facts and continue to lie about what he has done during his career in the Senate. Clearly he voted for Common Core but he wants to deny it as being part of the overall education appropriation bill while all the time criticizing Cochran for voting for continuing resolutions that fund ALL of the federal government.
People who like Chris McDaniel will vote for him despite this ad and others like it, and people who like Thad Cochran will vote for him despite the attack ads from the other side. People who aren't sure who to vote for will think the those of us who are interested in politics are idiots and will become even further disgusted by the ugly nature of electoral process. Congratulations to all the mud slingers - you're running people off faster than the rest of us can bring them in.
Do not confuse me with the facts , my mind is made up.
While I may not agree with Cochran on every issue, I don't perceive McDaniel as being mature or experienced enough to be a U.S. Senator. Slamming Cochran for steering money to Ms. is absurd. Would you rather he send to some other state? Take the direct or indirect federal funding out of this state and watch the vacuum. I haven't seen or heard anything positive from McDaniel.
Watch how much money McDaniel raises in state and out. he doesn't have much support in the state so his dollar count locally will be low. You need local money, even if its a dollar each, to show skin in the game. Skin means votes. Low fundraising locally translates to low turn out. McDaniel needs to be recognized. Its an ego thing like with Longwitz. These type of people seek political office to hide their insecurities. McDaniel wont win, not even close. what he has done is make a lot of enemies so when he runs again for another office he will have a lot of people working against him. You cant tell these girlie-beta males about common sense for their ego drives their actions.
Man. I think it is hysterical how hard Cochran and his supporters are coming out against McDaniel.
Cochran is awesome at spending our money and other tax dollars in Miss. Ok great. What else? He votes to raise the debt ceiling? Can't seem to get a budget out? What about Benghazi? Fast and furious? What has he said on the IRS targeting? Where was he when Reid did the nuclear option and jacked up the senate rules? Where is he on obamacare? Why is he letting Obama get away with lawlessness in not faithfully executing the laws?
Cochran needs to go simply because he has been in so long. We need fresh ideas and people. Why term limits are good for a president but not congress baffles me.
I think Gene Taylor is the man for the job. He is liberal on big government especially when it comes to disaster relief and he is conservative on defense and social issues. He is a Democrat that is now a Republican. His political history matches the evolution of the state electorate. McDaniel is a true believer that got off track but cannot admit it.
8:15 For members of Congress we have the Ballot Box. The people vote if we want them every 4 to 6 years. Best method--why penalize some one for doing a good job? Also, I noticed that the absentee Senator from the Free State of Jones has not filed a bill to limit terms on State Legislature. He wants you to think that he is for term limits. But he has not done anything about it when it effects his job. What is good for the gander is good for the goose. Hell, the boy from Jones County would not even be for sending aid to hurricane ravaged Gulf Coast after Katrina. Grow up. Not a hard decision.
8:15 Show me something to confirm you know what the hell you're talking about. (Oh! you can't. Go to your corner and pout.) I'm as conservative, or more so, than any tea party hat, but the TP will never have any control in congress. They're only muddying the water, wasting time and money. Why would the intelligent voters give up a ranking member of the Senate? Are you advocating change for the sake of change? If so, get someone that can and will make change happen. It won't be McDaniel.
I've never met a man more in love with the sound of his own strange voice than Chris McDaniel.
Sara Palin & Dick Morris have endorsed Chris
Meanwhile, this just in from The Old Goats' club: John McCain and Saxby Chambliss have endorsed Cochran. But there's a pasture out there somewhere, calling his name.
Did!
Didn't!
Did!
Didn't
Children, quit squabbling!
12:42 - who the hell cares what either one of these folks endorsed? This might help them sell their books to the Tea Party folks, but who cares who they endorsed?
"I was going to vote for Thad Cochran until Sarah Palin endorsed Chris McDaniel," said nobody ever.
McCain endorsed Cochran. BWUAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Liberal Repubs are screaming so loud because they cant afford for anything to change--must keep status quo.
Conservative Repubs are screaming so loud because they cant afford to keep things the way they are now.
Bottom line....ask yourself if you are happy with the way things are happening in DC. If you are, then vote to keep the status quo. If you aren't, then vote to change it.
and to the libs(R)s....if you spent this same amount of time and money on defeating the Dems, you would probably have both houses and a president. But you'd rather cut off your conservative foot then be forced to change what you're so proud of having....a loosing liberal team.
Don't take all the slander and mud being thrown Chris' way at face value. Think.. and learn.. for yourself.
You are invited to meet and talk to Chris this Monday, March 17 @ 6 PM.
Where? Home of Attorney Erwin & Dot Ward, 509 Lake Pointe Lane, Madison (Northbay Sub.)
8:49 nailed it. To repeat (for emphasis) -

9:07, wish you had any idea of what you are talking about. Please identify for me any "lib(Rs)" in Mississippi. There are many that disagree with you and your friends on what the best course of action is, but just because they disagree with you doesn't (1) make them a 'lib', or (2) make them wrong.
I am not happy with the way things are happening in DC, but it is because of the leadership of Harry Reid in the Senate and Obama in the WH. Replacing good members of either house, just because they are an incumbent, makes absolutely no sense.
I am not happy with many things that are happening at the State Capitol - but I am not for replacing all of the elected leadership there either.
Frankly, you should take your own advice that you are offering to the "libs(R)s" - "if you would spend the same amount of time on defeating the Dems" as you spend on defeating Republicans that you don't find to be 100% 'correct' (in your opinion) them maybe we could change some things in DC.
10:14 Will he miss a session of the legislature like when he was endorsement and fund searching in DC? 5th worse attendance record in the Senate. Even elected officials in Mississippi say he is a terrible state senator. Are we going to use the Peter Principle and move him up the ladder when he has not proved himself in his current job.
KF - realize you are supporting McDaniel, but why did you kill the response to 9:07's bs about "lib repubs"? Wasn't really an attack on McDaniel or a support for Cochran, just calling the idiot out thinking that there are "liberal republicans" in Mississippi.
Meanwhile, this just in from The Old Goats' club: John McCain and Saxby Chambliss have endorsed Cochran. But there's a pasture out there somewhere, calling his name.
So, McCain and Cochran have kissed and madeup after that bitch-slapping contest over lack of FDA inspections of imported Vietnamese "farm-raised catfish."
There's no way McCain or Cochran would agree to cut back on that $22,000,000,000 yearly stipend to Israel in order to pay for more FDA food inspectors.
Sarah Palin, though, is the political kiss of death.
I agree with Bill.
It'd be hard to do more to hurt conservatism.
@11:28 AM
you can be a liberal or you can be a conservative. I'm conservative.
"Replacing good members of either house..." There's where we differ. My definition of "good member" is different from your definition.
and thanks for opening up that 'big umbrella' that Repubs are always talking about---welcoming everyone into their party. Quick search of the internet and a glance at the real news shows that's quite different. You'll welcome Dem Taylor but your disgust for anyone conservative, quite frankly, blankets the internet. You'd really have to be deaf, dumb, and blind not to know this.
Liberal republicans HATE conservatives more than democrats.
If you're conservative, you've pretty much had a belly full, you're tired of the same old crap, and got no problem at all standing up and saying so.
