A little bit of a surprise in this poll. Majority of you apparently think Haley should not run for President. Not even close.

Why is this surprising?
I do not know why people are so stupidly negative. "IF" he did run and "IF" for some reason he won (who ever thought Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Obama would win), it would be a wonderful thing for our state...imagine the benefits, revenue, industry that could benefit...so we should all be disappointed he is not running, regardless of what you think of him
7:51 It has zero to do with " what you think of him" and everything to do with political realities.
A Presidential candidate has to be able to pull heavily from the 40-60% of voters who are not " true believers" in either party's rhetoric. Haley lacks the charisma and a moderate enough record to do that.
Indeed, the nature of Mississippi politics is such that we are unlikely to be able to put forward a viable national candidate in the foreseeable future.
It ain't the candidate...it's us. We ensure they carry too much baggage by the time they garner national attention as they have had to placate some real idiots in the process.
