Time for some humor.

She can't help it. She just can't. Madame DeLadd knits "tea party" into her quilt as she feverishly tries to link the tea party movement to.......... the Citizens Council, Sovereignty Commission, and other features of segregation. Read this editorial for yourself. Reminds me of when she tried to link Sarah Palin to the Confederacy and slavery. Warning: don't drink anything while reading. Computer monitors and keyboards are not cheap and water damage can't be repaired in many cases.

If you are not a member of the Republican or Tea Party, are married to an Hispanic, and think that the federal government should lower taxes, spend less, and get back in the black financially, does that make you a racist? Now before Donna and Ray Carter(he calls himself Walt over at the JFP nation) call me out for using a racist term, understand that black and red are terms used to indicate whether you are in the positive or negative financially. That is probably common knowledge for both, but I didn't want to be attacked unjustifiably.

That lady is nuts.

The tea party is neither Repub. or Dem., and neither white nor black.
It's American.

We stand for fiscal responsibility, free markets, and constituionally limited government.

It's about equal opportunity; not equal outcomes.

Positive result from posting any link to stench at the Fondren Bugle: today I'm signing up with the tea party....

In Donna's world, mentioning Jackson's high crime rate is "slamming the capital city unfairly" and promoting "racist hysteria", but suggesting that Tea Party leaders are actively trying to incite violent crimes against minorities counts as reasonable and thoughtful discussion.

As a young man in need of a job in the summer of 69 I became employed by the CC in their printing department. Knew the Simmons family well, what I saw was less about white rights and more of the fleeceing of the participants each month for the all important dues.
There we actual billing statements
to everyone wanting to participate. I was only 18; but it just looked like escalating the fears of intergration and charging them.
There were no checks and balances of where the money went.

My word she is a blithering idiot. Thanks for letting me waste another few minutes reading the rants of an obviously non-"partisan" liberal, hell, I'll go so far to say socialist, because she is starting to give liberals a bad name; but... not wanting to offend socialists, I might say communist; well... not wanting to offend communists, I guess I'll go back to blithering idiot. Yeah, thats the ticket.

I would call that a very loose attempt to make any correlation between the groups of hatred that she seems to admire by bringing them up all the time (man does she have white guilt or what?) and the Tea Party movement. What I find fascinating is that her understanding of the Tea Party movement is probably based on what she sees on TV. She would never actually take the time to understand the facts before she opens that trap of hers.

Donna, stick to writing copy about the arts community, well, maybe not, you might just offend them. I know, keep selling advertising to bars. Yeah, bars.

You damn greenie. Stop. Don't call me a color. I'm a brownie, can't you tell from my delicious chocolate coloring?

That above statement would most likely be construed amongst the JFP romper room folks as race baiting with food hysteria.

Most would just call it silly.

Did she really say she was a little "i". Look at her folow up comments.

Donna, I have a bridge I want to sell you, a great deal just for people that are little "i's".

You know it could also stand for idiot-insane-incompetent-incoherent-illogicial-impossble-illtempered you know I think she is just plain ILL.

Just as a nice constructive comment, if you want to be taken seriously please back up from the camera for you next editoral picture.

Oh, here's a good one:

It is worth noting that members of the Citizens Council didn't consider themselves racist, either. They were just protecting the nation from the commies, and everyone who didn't agree on the race question were "liberals" and "communists."

Remind me what has changed for some people.

Oh, and "illegals" is the n-word of the 21st century. Or one of them. Take it to the bank. If it wasn't, our Delta friend would at least be interested in the conversation we had about what "illegal immmigrant" actually means under the law, and doesn't mean.

So if you don't consider yourself a racist but disagree with her, doesn't matter, you're a racist. Funny.

Too bad she doesn't realize how many black reporters can't stand her and think she is nuts. One dialed me up recently and asked me if she was crazy.

Mark Geoffriau said...

It wouldn't matter. It's easily assimilated into her worldview. If she respects the reporter in question, it would feed her latent white guilt and she'd write an editorial exploring her hidden racism. If she doesn't respect the reporter in question, then he'd be dismissed as an Uncle Tom and she would pity him for letting whitey control him.

Anonymous said...

Her hysteric, and increasingly frequent, predictions of violence and spilled blood are not the words of a responsible journalist. A female Jim Jones spooning from a toxic vat of fear, hatred and intolerance.

KaptKangaroo said...

OK, so if I apply that same logic to what we call pizza, I would be somewhat racist towards it if I called it a "pie"? Under her logic we should call "illegal immigrants" (note: they are taking up residence illegally) people who want to skirt the law and live here? That would be incorrect, because it can be construed as perhaps someone who likes to shoplift and live here, so that is out. Hmmm...

Donner K likes to take polarizing points and try to intertwine them in the mainstream debates. These attempts only further alienate her current base who, will realize their precious Donner K is nothing but confusing at best or a childish temper tantrum with a pen at worst.

Oh, and I also love her label of "troll". That would be code word for "censorship". Donna's threat to ban "trolls" appears to be a racially motivated opinion on freedom of speech where opposition speech is labeled "trolling". I am sure "trolls" of good conscious, or just law-abiding freedom loving Americans would take issue with being labelled a troll. I am not green and I do not smell. Do not insult me Donner K.

And, finally, what is with that picture? Every time I see it I think it is a cat sticking its nose in the camera lens. Weird.

Another disturbing comment from Ladd re: Adoring Robbie Bell

I doubt seriously that there was a getaway. I read somewhere that they were going to turn him in, but I don't know if that's true. It sounds on the surface as if she was trying to keep him from doing something worse, or killing himself.

I should say that I know Robbie Bell in a professional capacity and just adore her. My heart breaks for all the families involved here.

To everyone: I do worry about double standards at play here, and I'm curious what role Mr. Danks or others might have played in Mr. Bell not going to jail the first time.

Guys true confession. Auburn Rat is gay and I am a member of the Tea Party and a registered Georgia Repub. Now..I am not a flamer (ie that slide poppin airline steward). I can play golf, shoot hoops, sit at the meeting room table with the best of you. I'm not a racist.....if anything I'm a classist. Yes there is such a thing as "the right kind of people"....they come in all colors and nationalities......anyway, I use to blog on her site but it has gotten too left for me...and articles/editorials like that one just prove it. But I will say that alot of thought goes into her writings and she is a good journalist for her side. No doubt she's left of left as are the regulars on the site. Enough of me.......for now. Thanks..........

Donner K, ... I love it ! ... That's a "good one" .

The JFP is better for comic relief than the tabloids.
What will we see in next week's edition ?
Let me guess... BREAKING NEWS : " New photo's on Planet Mars show Elvis was at the Neshoba County Fair one month before his death, that proves HE MUST BE IN THE KLAN !!!

At least the JFP provides us with with recycling opportunities with our pet's bathroom areas.

I love this website Kingfish !

I'll say it.

Apparently, KF you attract intelligent people, not just folks who want to tell you what they do in their private lives.

That is why no one, NO ONE, with any credibility, other than David Watkins, posts there now. Same handfull of predictable (and some EXTREMELY self seving) groupies.

Mark Geoffriau said...

I have to say this post is extremely reassuring. I've been trying to participate in discussions over there for a while now -- with more success initially, and less success recently as Donna and Todd have clamped down on my posting privileges -- and it's kind of like falling down the rabbit hole. The only differing viewpoints they permit are slightly different positions that still support massive government, Keynesian economics, and whatever the hot button leftist social issue of the moment happens to be. I've heard Donna and Todd describe themselves as independent, libertarians or libertarian-leaning, supporters of free enterprise, progressives, and various other labels depending on what happens to suit their purposes at that moment. War is peace, Freedom is slavery, Ignorance is strength.

Kingfish said...

Just ask Miki Dickoff how she was treated by Madame DeLadd.

It is an echo chamber Mark. They moderate your comments due to their maniacal need to totally control the narrative. Some of us are surprised it took you so long to figure it out. The entire enterprise is a shrine set up so that Donna may be worshiped.

Defection from the JFP. Beautiful. Now behave.

Couldn't be many left to defect. Would they fill a Yugo?

Agreed. We use to read and blog all of the time, but no more.

That woman has control issues, and seems to be comfortable with those that haven't "grown up" yet.

Wow. I just read Micki's response to Donner K's editorial. DK really does believe what she says and that is scary. Her emotionalism was clearly evident in her writings. Additionally, the best comment was about her sovereignty of Mississippi and only folks from MS can really tell the story, in other words, we don't need outsiders telling us what we already know.

What a bunch of hogwash. That type of attitude is similar to the attitude the Klan employed. If it weren't for the Freedom Riders of the 60's coming to MS, who knows what would have happened. "Outsiders" played a role in stopping what was clearly wrong and they paid dearly, with their lives in some cases.

What started as a criticism/bitching about a colleague turned into a complete disaster.

Here's more self-aggrandizement for you:
Heard on a Jack FM radio commercial--
"Dancing with the Stars sponsored by Jackson Free Press raises funds for the Mississippi Opera by allowing you to dance with local celebrities such as JFP editor-in-chief Donna Ladd."

No mention of other sponsors or celebs and barely a mention of the MS Opera, who has held this fundraiser for at least the past one-two years. How many people in Jackson will even recognize her name?

Rebekah said...

I didn't know that Donna Ladd was, um, a 'local' celebrity. A local celebrity is someone people KNOW just by mentioning their name... An editor in chief of a weekly printed liberal "newspaper" is hardly a celebrity.

Anonymous said...

We can only hope it will be as outstanding as her roller derby gig.

Anonymous said...

Re Anon 12:14--

What comment thread is this exchange under? The link doesn't work.

KaptKangaroo said...

Search for "Micki Dickoff site:jacksonfreepress.com". And I would never want to dance with "cat-face."

Anonymous said...

Link isn't hot but does work.

Rebekah said...

Perhaps ole Stu I should replace Donna Ladd in the "local celebrity" dancin with the stars.

I would never put a "hot link" on this site pointing to JFP. Its the SEO in me.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
