Judge "troubled" by Farese comments

Convicted child molester and former youth pastor Lindsey Whiteside is finally behind bars after U.S. District Judge Debra Brown revoked her bond yesterday.  A federal grand jury indicted Whiteside for transporting a minor across state lines for sexual purposes in October.

 The Mississippi Department of Human Services issued the following statement. 

 Our boy John Arthur Banks (No relation to John Arthur Eaves) is back and back for more mayhem.

 U. S. District Judge Debra Brown revoked Lindsey Whiteside's bonds a few minutes ago. I am leaving the federal courthouse in Greenville and will post more later.

Congress gave it that job after the great 1927 flood disaster — to prevent a repeat.

Former LSU Head Football Coach Brian Kelly made it clear he wants his money and wants it now.  Coach Kelly filed a petition for declaratory judgment against the LSU Board of Supervisors in the 19th Judicial District of Louisiana yesterday.  The petition accuses the university of reneging on its duty to pay him his $53 million buyout after it fired him without cause in October. Talk about a battle on the bayou.

In what looked to be a risky move last April, the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra (MSO) hired Flowood Chamber of Commerce executive director Janet Reihle as its new chief executive. Reihle had limited music background (piano) and had attended only a few outdoor orchestral events.

The city of Jackson spent over $10 million on renting pumps for the Savannah Street treatment when purchasing a new one only costs $4 million.  Such revelations occurred during the status conference on Jackson's water/sewer system held yesterday in the courtroom of U.S. District Judge Henry Wingate.
