For the question about the how much does the promoter pay - i think to rent the hall it's between 1,500 -2,500. You then also have the guarantee that has to be paid to the artist , then you have the staffing for that night that you also pay that is part of the contract with whoever you are booking. You pay for security, the bar to be staffed , etc, the sound , lighting etc... the ticket price is determined by all those variables and what you know will sell in order to cover all those costs.
