Kamala is Coming

The city of Jackson issued the following statement.

Jackson is honored to welcome Vice President Kamala Harris as part of her national book tour for “107 Days.” Her story of perseverance, and leadership continues to inspire people across the country,” said Mayor John Horhn. “We look forward to hosting her at Thalia Mara Hall and sharing in the dialogue her visit will spark about the future of our democracy.”

Jackson, MS, December 10, 2025 - Former Vice President Kamala Harris will continue her book tour for 107 DAYS into 2026, including a stop in Jackson, MS.

Following the demand and sold-out engagements of her 17-city international book tour, former Vice President Kamala Harris announced a set of 18 new appearances to bring her powerful and timely message to audiences across the country.

107 DAYS has become one of the defining political books of the year. The book debuted as an instant #1 New York Times Bestseller and has remained on the list for 10 consecutive weeks, with over 600,000 copies sold across formats to date.

With surprising and revealing insights, Harris tells the story of one of the wildest and most consequential presidential campaigns in American history. During these special events, Vice President Kamala Harris will share her powerful and timely message about what it will take to move forward, especially for those feeling disheartened and disconnected from the political process.

The book tour includes an event in Jackson, MS on January 14th at Thalia Mara Hall. Meet & Greet tickets are available and include a photo with Harris and a signed copy of 107 DAYS.

😂🤣😭 Absolutely delusional!

Hopefully her and Chuckway Antard Lumumbles take a tour of the city together and they can see all the damage he caused.

This is the first time Mayor Horhn has made a partisan statement since he got into office!

Now we can see what can be, unburdened by what has been. [insert drunken cackling here]

Racist comments in 3, 2, 1 . . . .

Anonymous said...

Loser!!

Anonymous said...

For anyone interested, there will be plenty of seats.

Tickets are running about $200 each. Will the City of Jackson disclose how much the event promoter is paying for use of the venue? There are a lot of renovation bills to pay.

Maybe she can give me advice on how I can run for president without any sort of convention or actual nomination from any party. Cuz that's cool.

You will see any comment in opposition to her as racist. If you're seeing racism everywhere you go, perhaps a quick look in a mirror is in order.

Damn, January 14th I'll be out of town. Can she reschedule?

Abject stupidity knows no color nor creed.

"to bring her powerful and timely message to audiences across the country"

I actually listened for a message during her campaign, but couldn't find one. All I heard was a lot of buzzy-sounding phrases, with no real substance.

She reminded of potato chips: a lot of taste with little nutritional value.

I don't see racism everywhere I go. I have just seen enough racist comments here (from both sides) to know that my statement is true.

You have made it abundantly clear that you feel threatened by minorities and women.

Maybe one day someone will write a book about what actually occurred during those 107 days when the Democratic Party melted down during a Presidential election. It's a bizarre story of political betrayal and clashing special interests who not only shot themselves in the foot but literally handed the Oval Office and Congress to the Republicans.

Who’s going to pay her audience to attend?

Anonymous said...

@11:40 must be a Democrat. “Racist” is the cry of a Democrat to anyone or anything they oppose.

Clay Edwards meltdown incoming...

50/50 chance more entertaining than Dylan

Anonymous said...

Is she going to be drunk, cause that would be way more entertaining.

I don't feel threatened so much as I felt fear that this moronic, dishonest, hypocritical, spineless, wishy-washy, soundbite of a person could have potentially ran this country into the ground. Gender and race mean nothing. Tim Walz frightens me the same way. So does Gavin Newsom. Not a huge fan of Mitch McConnell or Marjorie Taylor-Greene, either.

Word salad for everyone. Eat up. It will be just like a Benny Thompson fish fry.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with you young people, you think you just fell out of a coconut tree, You exist in the context of all in which you live and what you came before you.”

“Culture is — it is a reflection of our moment in our time, right? And in present culture is the way we express how we’re feeling about the moment,”

“honor the women who made history throughout history.”

“So, I think it’s very important, as you have heard from so many incredible leaders, for us at every moment in time — and certainly this one — to see the moment in time in which we exist and are present, and to be able to contextualize it, to understand where we exist in the history and in the moment as it relates not only to the past but the future,”

Let me be clear; I ain't going. I don't care to hear what she has to say. I get it-she was handed a bad hand. But, she was not the best the Democrats had to offer. It was a f'd up situation all the way around.

But, unlike some people, that's the end of the story for me. If you want to go, go. If you don't want to go, don't go.

Clay's and Shad's, among others, heads are exploding. It must be a pitiful existence to live to hate people.

Hateful comments solve nothing, both political parties are pitiful. Let’s quit name calling and support a candidates that will bring all people living in America together. Politicians don’t sole problems, we do! If the devil himself wrote and had the book signing we’d complain that! However that solves nothing! This comment doesn’t make sense doesn’t it, exactly!

Realistically, a smaller venue is probably needed. $200 a ticket to fill 2,040 seats. I don't think there are that many people willing to pay that much to just hear her talk. Bob Dylan will fill more seats and he is terrible.

Anonymous said...

I hope she don't stay long.

Anonymous said...

Wouldn't attendence be better if this was held in Belhaven or Fondren?

Anonymous said...

12:42 Exactly!!!

Anonymous said...

The mayor is choking on the Kamala kool-aid.

Anonymous said...

Well, if you go, you will get to see the worst VP in the history of American politics. She had multiple chances to shine as VP but refused to show leadership.

Anonymous said...

While she is here the average IQ of Jackson will drop 25 points.

Anonymous said...

Her new book will be coming out in 2026. "How I re-invented Word Salad."

Anonymous said...

But damn won't her cackle resonate in that empty hall! Unless, of course, they are holding the event in the lobby.

Anonymous said...

Isn't she a little late? By the time she rolls in her opening act, Chokwe the Imposter Mayor, will have been off the stage by a half-year.

Anonymous said...

"Today is today. And yesterday was today yesterday." So check the date of the event to make sure if it's yesterday, today or tomorrow.

Good golly the Barksdalers and members of Ladd's media empire will be tripping over each other to get an interview. Ladd will probably play her 'I interviewed pre-Dementia Joe' card to seek leverage.

Anonymous said...

I’ll buy a ticket if I can get a catfish plate at the concession stand.

Anonymous said...

Instead of having to listen to her slightly awkward laugh, we get Dozy Donald the Dumbass. Who’s the real loser here, her or the non-Billionaire Americans having to hold their breath through the worst presidency in the history of the western world?

Anonymous said...

Word Salad is a clinically-recognized mental illness associated with and leading to more serious mental problems. Look it up.

It will be chok(hehe) full of people who demanded vaccine documentation(looking at you Mr. music promoter who also did nothing to complain about Thia Mara being shut down to the administration), yet are upset about making people show proof of citizenship. People who are outspoken about killing drug runners, yet are pro-abortion. Purple hairs, he-shes and she-hes. It should be an unburdened time!

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
