How dumb is Murrah High School Assistant Football Coach Robert Landers?
Pretty damn dumb. When his drugs did not arrive in the mail, he did what else but go to the post office to complain about his missing package. You can't make this up.
A package containing 13 lbs of marijuana and 7 lbs of meth was shipped to Landers from where else but Oklahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plain. Postal inspectors caught the package at the Downtown Jackson post office. Law enforcement sprung into action. A police affidavit spells out how it all went down.
The Rankin County Sheriff's Office charged Landers with two counts of conspiracy to commit trafficking a controlled substance and arrested the Murrah coach. Rankin County Court Judge David Morrow set Landers' bond at $500,000.

Despite being in front of a Rankin County jury, the defense counsel is going to have a field day with this one. Speaking of, why aren't the feds handling this case?

Just legalize drugs. Adults should be allowed to make adult choices. Not the government

Should the victims of those crimes then be free to use deadly force to protect their property?

Are you saying because GOD made marijuana that it's natural, and it would be good for you to process it, and smoke it? GOD, also, made poison ivy, it's natural, but I don't think it was designed to roll in. What is so bad about your reality that you need to alter your perception of it? Change your reality, not your perception.
1) 1:45, I could see legalizing cannabis, but meth? No way. And a person doing meth shouldn’t be a teacher/dc.
2) What is his football back ground? All I could find was a guy with the same name that went to Ohio State. JPS’s former (former former?) AD used to post jobs on the MHSAA website and take them down only 2 or 3 days later, seemed like super nepotism. Not to take anything away from all JPS coaches, what is going on at Lanier this year is amazing.

If drug use only affected the adult choosing to use, you might have a point. That isn’t how life works. Who ends up supporting the children of drug addicts? Who pays their medical costs when they can’t work because of their drug use? Drug use costs others, not just the user.
It would be funny if the Coach wasn’t so damn stupid & careless about the safety of school children ! Hope he goes away for a long time. He would been better of to let the two young Rankin couple deliver from their warehouse by the airport
KF - I read it and still wonder why a local yokel county deputy and a post office employee were neck deep in this drama rather than a federal law enforcement officer.
