Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Trollfest '07
Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Sonjay Poontang and his band headline the night with a special steel cage, no time limit "loser must leave town" bout between Alan Lange and "Big Cat"Donna Ladd following afterwards. Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

They both admit they don’t know anything about economics but here we are watching their uninformed opinions.
You heard it here first! Trump's tariffs (which will shift the tax burden to the working class so we can pay for the newest tax cut on the ultra wealthy) are on equal moral footing with the abolition of slavery. Mike Rowe deserves a gold medal in mental gymnastics.
He must have only seen a very small part to describe it as "very clean."
I wonder if they know Jackson has looked like that prior to Trump? Also, why wasn’t anyone crying about Trumps Tariffs his first time in? You know the same ones Biden kept in place except for a few he removed? But I guess in 2025 everyone is an economist and concerned about tariffs, I’m just glad they have no effect me at all and I’m still making money.
I’m glad to hear them discuss tariffs like this. Yes! It is not all about the economy! When we allowed our leaders to get rich off our country, the unwind of corruption is going to hurt if we are willing to save the country. Yes, and MS will be hurt harder than the rest of the country. Why? Because we are so dependent on federal government and made our people dependent on the government instead of lifting them up. We are a desert with no qualified workers or services. Now it will be a forced withdrawal of services and people will learn to work or they suffer the consequence. It will be painful but it always is when u have to dig urself out of a ditch. We have to pay for what we have done.
I agree that tariffs distribute the tax obligation to all classes based on consumption. Hmm... isn't that what many states, including Mississippi, are doing? Moving away from income tax to sales tax or value taxes. Why are they doing this? Would you rather collect taxes based on the net profit of a business or the gross sales? Which is more stable. The answer is gross is more stable. Like the VAT in other countries. Taxes based on net profit are impacted by product costs, labor costs, benefits, overhead. Taxes collected at the gross sale level are not directly impacted by such costs. So when you hear people saying they are doing a favor in eliminating income tax, well, while that does provide a benefit to higher income taxpayers, it does spread the taxation to all levels based on consumption. The other thing it does is bring those who live in a cash world into the fold. They now pay tax on what they purchase when they are otherwise off the tax rolls. If Trump is truly trying to move away from the income tax to a gross level through tariffs or VAT, etc. he would not be the first to do so. Many state houses have already done so and others are moving in that direction. Honestly, it's probably not a bad idea for the long-term. Short-term will be painful.
10:10 knows nothing about economics. Economists I have had respect for many years think Trump's ideas, while painful, will have a very good end.
I guess 10:10 missed the memo that
75% of US billionaires are democrats. The GOP is now the party of the working class.
“I think about slavery in 1870….in the country”. Slavery was abolished in 1865. We have the blind leading the blind in this country. They are in public office, they have major platforms, but these people don’t have a clue. But they get passes because the average person doesn’t have a clue. At some point we have to stop getting our information from Fox, CNN, podcast, and social media folks. You can’t make good choices off bad information and this country is electing people and making long term policy based an abundance of bad information.
He's obviously talking about downtown, and he's right. Downtown is very clean, but it is empty. We have a downtown with great bones and some beautiful buildings. I walk it every day. Hopefully the improved safety with Capitol Police and cheap rents will begin to bring business back over time.
If only Chowke had been re-elected he would have fixed the blight. He just needed four more years. Right?
Amen 8:00, I work downtown too and it is clean but empty. It's nice having the Capitol Police around. Hopefully we get some more businesses down here, but it will take time. There's a lot of reputational damage to overcome. Getting rid of Lumumba is a major step in the right direction.
There are many Jackson blight videos on Youtube.
Does this mean pig ear sandwiches are going up in price?
What DC politicians have done since the 90s to small towns and cities all across the US is shameful and should be criminal. All across this great State we see desolate downtowns that were once thriving until the DC politicians gutted them under the guise of "free" trade. Once thriving communities are now gone. The people that lived and worked there either moved in search of careers or got on welfare, creating a generational cycle of dependency, because they couldn't afford to move as a lot of them had family housing and land.
What sad is that downtown is virtually deserted but there's NO PLACE TO PARK!
The Trump tariffs are not directly about economics. They are about fairness. I haven't talked to a single person who opposed Trump's tariffs after first seeing what other countries charge us in tariffs compared to what we charge them. But I see a lot of people who spout off about it without even knowing what they are talking about.
We had a bunch of idiots making deals with other countries about tariffs. Who in their right mind would agree to a country setting high tariffs on our products when we didn't charge them any tariffs? Now we have a person who knows what he is doing. He wants to level the playing field. How could anyone disagree with us charging other countries the same tariff they charge us?
It's ridiculous to compare what Trump did his last term while he took the advice of excellent economists. These tariffs had no rhyme or reason.
They are not about fairness or else he wouldn't have imposed tariffs on those who impose zero tariffs on us or those who charge the same or less. Trumpster are also missing the fact that there are goods we can't make and we need them. Just as the same is true for some of our exports.
Trump just has a bachelor's degree in business. That's one economics course more than a half century ago. There wasn't a global economy then. He lost more money trying to manage his father's business than he made. He is a great snake oil salesman and does well hawking goods that are priced for far more than they are worth and that will not last.
The worst to me, is stamping his name on The Bible. If that gave The Bible more worth to you, I don't think I'll see you in heaven. You are worshipping an idol.
Fuck Theo Von. What a shitheel. He's never had anything kind to say about Mississippi.
https://youtu.be/V8IfYmzUK6A
9:44 - If you're talking about that little slate that Trump is photographed holding, those numbers are bullshit.
https://www.factcheck.org/2025/04/trumps-misleading-tariff-chart/
It seems a wealth tax on the ultra wealthy would be a much more targeted approach to fix the issue Mike brings up. It doesn’t make sense to cut ourselves off from the global economy, screwing everyone’s retirement accounts, screwing all these small businesses that we’re playing by the rules.
It's deserted except for Saturday nights when it's full of future rocket scientists patronizing the daquiri bars and blocking the streets.
I had to go downtown for a tax record yesterday and, wearing substantial boots, wanted to kick shit outta one of Lil Choke's stupidly slow parking kiosk nuisances, as a sort of celebration of his 3:1 loss. But my wife reminded it would be illegal and on camera. So I postponed my celebration.
10:10, now do Biden's student loan forgiveness plan. How is that not shifting the burden to taxpayers?
It is too soon to draw conclusions on the tariff issue. Negotiations are underway. But, as with Wall Street, everyone wants to micromanage the finances at every turn. If there is a Made in USA alternative to the product, you will probably pay a bit more, but you're supporting a home-grown business. Many people and companies already behave that way. If you like buying cheap Chinese shit, then you'll be paying more for a while.
10:10 here! I understand the stigma against student loan forgiveness. Most people with student loans tend to be young and (obviously) college educated. Well, maybe not of us are so young... I am in my forties and have student loans from my doctorate degree.
Generally, as Americans, we have accepted that we want to educate American people that are capable and qualified, regardless of their socioeconomic status. That includes all Americans, regardless of race, gender, religion, etc. Try to block the anti-DEI propaganda from your mind for a moment. I wonder if you have made any assumptions as to which of these minority groups I belong to. Think carefully...
I'm a white, Christian male that was raised and educated exclusively in Mississippi. In fact, I have never lived anywhere else. Does that change your opinion on whether I should receive any assistance?
Your question about shifting the burden of student loans to taxpayers is valid. In a more perfect society these taxes would never be felt by anyone other than the ultra wealthy in the highest tax bracket. Back in the "good old days" of America, from 1944 to 1963, the top income tax rate was never below 90%. Today, the billionaires are constantly lobbying our lawmakers to reduce their tax burden while increasing the tax burden on the rest of us. Tariffs and flat taxes are absolute BULLSHIT because people in the lower income range dedicate far more of their income to necessities.
Think about all of the things we could accomplish if we returned to the tax system we had back in the nostalgic "good old days" of America when the ultra wealthy gangsters weren't in charge. Do yourself a favor and get out of the conservative media bubble that is controlled by those wealthy elites. They are pulling your puppet strings and you don't even notice as long as they tell you that Democrats are the enemy.
