There will be a blood drive in support of Deputy Brad Sullivan on September 11, 2019. There will be TWO BUSES. It will be held in the old Tulane parking lot
on highway 51 in Madison. The direct address is 2115 Main Street. There
will be signs directing donors where to park. Donation times are from
9:30 AM- 3 PM.
If possible, MS Blood services are asking for donors to sign up for appointment times. Here is the link to sign up:

If you cannot make this blood drive, you can always go to the MS Blood Services Headquarters and donate. Brad’s code is DV63.

Is a specific blood type needed? If so, which!
No, of course not. No blood taken or given at a blood drive goes to the intended. Never has, never will. It's merely a gimmick by Mississippi Blood Services.
Unless I've missed it, there's been no report of the officer being in need of blood to begin with.
Well, I am all for any “gimmick” that encourages the public to do something as worthwhile as give blood, of which there is always a shortage! I hope the response is huge. Mississippi Blood Service is a wonderful organization.
It's a blood "bank," so each donation doesn't literally go to a specific person. It is a deposit, just like a bank deposit. It goes "on account."
I too suspect that this is a gimmick to get people to donate, but to a good cause.
Of course it's a good cause and a worthwhile business. That doesn't remove the fact that the ads are gimmicks. You think a hospital would hold up on saving a life, saying..."Well, nobody donated blood"?
I remember the sixties when the radio would blare...'Go on out to the hospital and donate blood for Lucille. She attends First Baptist and is in surgery for gall bladder removal. Plus she has the shakes'.
