Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey posted the following message and pictures on Facebook.
Because of the Christian leadership of Sherrye Thompson in the Rankin County Schools Frontiers Program, The children of Rankin County that attend the program have made it possible for over 50 trusty inmates and several struggling employees to provide presents to all of their children this Christmas! Thank you to Sherrye, her staff and all of the parents and children involved!

What a wonderful thing to do. Glad to see this.
God bless them, everyone!
To hell with these degenerates. Don’t reward these yahoos. Don’t care if their kids are struggling: that’s because of their own poor decisions. I don’t agree with this at all.
Tax payers are already supporting their children with our tax dollars.
Seriously for the negativity from the last two comments. Are you perfect? Are you without sin? Just because they are incarcerated doesn't make you better than them. Judgement day will come for ALL of us...imprisoned or not. We are all prisoners to sin. Our taxes pay for many things. Help elect officials that will make sure they do go to our children, the future of our state, their education.
5:00, you are mistaken. The fact that they are behind bars for breaking our laws and I am a free man DOES make me better than them.

So glad to find a perfect person. *eyes roll*
2:37, thanks for the compliment but even I have faults.
Those faults do not extend to being a career criminal doing time for my latest round of crimes. Nor do they extend to expecting others to provide for the children I sired before leaving to sire even more.
