Any thoughts on Kenny Miller vs Steve Gaines?

Isn't this where any one or more of the Harpy Freak Jobs who detest JJ's successes jumps in and hammers you Kingfish for erroneous reporting?

Somebody, anybody, please get Jimmie Gates off of Twitter ASAP. He's barfing on that medium like a bigger fool than Sam R Hall.

My vote was Gaines! He's in it for the right reasons.

Nothing out there on Rankin yet....

I wonder how much Anita Wray paid for each vote she receives. I've never seen so much money in a circuit clerk race. It looked like the Hinds County trial lawyers spared no expense to buy that office.

Holy Jackson Free Press!

One of the DonnerKay young (and HOT) Chicks-She-Formerly-Loved (and who another certain someone couldn't keep his eyes off) is reporting elections results for the Clarion-Ledger Death Star?

Say, say, say it ain't so DonnerKay!!!

After all these years Jimmie Gates still doesn't understand the HindsCo vote counting scam. Why doesn't Sam R Hall ever send Jimmie out to report in Madison or Rankin counties? Hmmmm.

It will be interesting to see from which side of I-55 Anita Wray received her biggest vote count. I'll be willing to bet the west side went heavily for her since she seems to be against Costco and the fact that Gene and DI both publicly supported her opponent. FYI, I'm on the east side (in the slums, according to Dinsmor elites) and I do pay taxes, even though the west side snobs say that they pay all the taxes in Ridgeland. Oh, I did vote for Anita!

curious to see how the idiots that voted for Anita will feel in a few days when its revealed people working for her campaign were paid to destroy Pantin signs. These individuals were arrested last night and confessed that they were paid to do it. Madison elections are being bought and paid for. Bomgar alone spent a quarter of a million dollars for a job that pays 12k. Wake up Madison.

Joe Citizen has no clue what circuit clerk does. Just the kind of office that's vulnerable to endorsements. Wray's win is a slap to the discredited politicians who endorsed her - there are some angry voters! Now I just hope she doesn't suck.

PS - don't think that Mad Cty defense lawyers weren't voting for her. Drive down Highland Colony? See the firms? Think they were all for Pantin?

Yep - that did it for me.

Anonymous said...

How do you spell Kathy Sykes win? R.A.C.I.S.M. And, it is black racism. The people who voted for her could care less about the future of Jackson or sending someone to the House who would gather respect. Once again we will have a Melton-ite with a mouth like Stokes destroying every bit of good will that could have been beneficial to Jackson. So sorry that some in the Capitol City do not want to rebuild;they just want a black. What Martin Luther King said about content vs. color makes no difference to them.

Anonymous said...

9:58 no one got arrested last night and since when do signs win elections??

Anonymous said...

@10:40 3 males were detained last night. Statements were taken and they were released around 3am. Charges will be filed for trespassing and vandalism. Charges pending against the people who paid the perps to do it. One male is the relative of a local elected official. Watch and learn. This one is going to hurt.

I was a Pantin voter that switched to Wray because Pantin had endorsements from Di and Gene. 2017 can't get here fast enough. Run and hide, DI, run and hide . . .

I am a little surprised that Wray pulled it out - every Madison County politico endorsed Pantin. Goes to show what their stock is worth. I guess it didn't help Phillips much either.

Kingfish said...

She worked her butt off and earned it fair & square. Having good fund-raising helped but plenty of candidates lose despite outspending their opponents. Had three sign-wavers on the Ridgeland turnabout today at 5:00 PM. No one else was there. She showed up at the Costco forums, she went all over the place.

Now my advice to her: Lee was like Arthur Johnston: best clerk in the area. Your job is to not screw it up.

Anonymous said...

I actually think we are seeing here part of the reason Gene MvGee continued to lie about his knowledge of the Costco deal until after the August 4 election. While Gene was hosting fundraisers for the anti-Bomgar (I forget his name) and posing for pics with Longwitz, he continued to lie with the thought that his endorsement was actually worth something as long as the Costco matter was not known to the voters. And that old hypocrite Di Smith was on the radio telling us how to vote in the supervisor's race to ensure transparent government. Well, those endorsements proved to be worth very little to nothing on August 4 and they sure aren't worth anything now that the truth is out.

I don't think Wray got every vote she did just because Pantin was unfortunate enough to have endorsements from these two sorry individuals, but I do think it was enough to tip the scales in her favor had this election been closer.

Anonymous said...

Wouldn't worry too much about Sykes. The clout of the Jackson delegation in the House is already seriously on the wane. The population exodus out of the city continues unabated and after the next round of redistricting their numbers will shrink even further. Wish Sam Begley had won but he still did all of the metro a big service by hosing Evans.

Anonymous said...

KF, Arthur Johnston was a treasure for Madison County. What Rankin Countians wouldn't give to have someone of Arthur's intelligence, honesty, skills, education, experience, and integrity instead of the snake-eyed sack of $h!+ currently occupying the Rankin County Chancery Clerk's office.

Anonymous said...

Can't wait to see Anita's campaign finance reports!!

Anonymous said...

@10:39 - you must be out yo damn mind. Begley stoked racism when it suited him (under Harvey's reign of terror) and was the financial beneficiary of it. To see him get ousted by essentially the same crap he pulled 15 years ago is too rich. It could not have happened to a nicer guy.

Anonymous said...

Wish Sam Begley had won but he still did all of the metro a big service by hosing Evans.

Agreed......that is cause for celebration.

I was encouraged to see that Anita Wray's experience as a clerk swayed the voters- Experience should always count- A lesson maybe Mother Mary just learned in her race as well

Anonymous said...

My wife and I did the same thing as 11:03, by switching from Pantin in the first primary to Wray in the second, because of Pantin's endorsments.

Best news of the night is that Bill Weisenberger will never hold a position of authority again.

I watched him in that court as a constable & judge for a dozen years. He is the absolute epitome of a redneck thug. Should never have had a badge or judge's gavel, even in play court.

Just a mean, redneck bully.

And his thug son is the same way. Freaking bully with a badge.

Really????? Is the best Hinds county can to is Iphone pictures of a white board on an easel the best they can do??? In this day and age that is truly laughable !

I hope Ms Wray knows what she's doing. She will get zero support from sitting clerk when she takes office.

Anonymous said...

Congratulations Anita Wray! Your hard work paid off!

I personally want to thank the citizens of Madison County, Marion County, Walthall County, Rankin County and all ther statewide family and friends that either voted are made calls to their family and friends in Madison County!

Once Anita Wray decided to run for Madion County Circuit Clerk she hit the ground running and never gave up!

She worked from daylight to dark knocking on doors, meeting and speaking with citizens any and every where she went. She put herself out there for the public to meet her one on one any and every time the opportunity allowed. She published her mobile on her push cards and was available to speak to anyone that had a question or comment for her.

She took all the criticism from her opponents, their followers and the local politicians and NEVER spoke bad about any of them!!!

Instead of ridiculed she should be congratulated! I am a fan of Anita Wray and will continue to support and defend her because I know the TRUTH!!!

Anonymous said...

@9:43 If the sitting clerk gives her successor "zero support" then she will show herself to be nothing more than a petty politician. If she actually cares about Madison County, as she claims, she will do the right thing and work to ensure a smooth transition.

Anonymous said...

Gene's endorsement of Pantin was a kiss of death. Taggart 's endorsement just put nails in Pantin's coffin!
One poster commented their concern about bought elections. Well neighbors, the $29.6M that these wealthy Jackson developers stand to get from Ridgeland's sales tax can buy a lot of people. As the poster said, wake up!!!

Mr. Goober, please re-read 9:30's post. It says as constable and judge. Seems like you should refrain from the use of "stupid".

Anonymous said...

Kingfish, Wray won't be an Arthur Johnston or a Lee Westbrook. Madison County is about to get a taste of what it is like to be Hinds County. Here comes the new Barbara Dunn!

Anonymous said...

If you folks think there was a lot of money spent in these Madison county elections for jobs paying less than $100,000.00, it would probably be mind boggling the amount of your $29.6M tax dollars these wealthy Jackson developers will spend to try & discredit the citizens of Ridgeland that are trying to preserve our quality of life & tax base.

Speaks To Those Who Like Mediocrity said...

If Wray has the experience she claims to have she won't need advice or support from 'the sitting clerk'.

Besides, she says she 'has a passion for people', whatever the hell that means.

If anybody refused to vote for Pantin because Gene McGee lied about Cosco, that voter is a real dickhead. Talk about ignernt.

Anonymous said...

Birds of a feather flock together

I agree. Barbara Dunn will now be running the Circuit Clerk's Office in Hinds and Rankin County. I guess the employees in Canton will now be able to come to work when they want to and have biscuits, deer sausage and gravy made to order from the back room. Should be fun.

Was it really Ronny Lott's kids that were caught tearing down Pantin signs?

Anonymous said...

Talk about ignorant. The two top Justice Court voters in the Republican primary are not even lawyers in a county as large as Madison. This sounds like Smoky and the Bandit in an upscale setting.

I hope a lawyer squashes Spivey like a bug in the general election. Go Reeves!

Anonymous said...

I would think that a public service removing signs from public right a way. I certainly do not see how that could be a crime.

Anonymous said...

9:30 A. M. Do I detect a little animosity in your tone? What did they catch you doing that you should not have been doing? Obviously, it was something you didn't want anyone to know to make you spew all of that anger.

Anonymous said...

As an 'informed' voter - not one that is going to decide on a Circuit Clerk because of a development, or what someone else thinks, etc - my opinion is that Madison County had two fine individuals running for the office of Circuit Clerk. Why we elect clerks is another question, but as long as we do I think either of these individuals would do a good job.

I didn't like Pantin's endorsement by the third candidate, Julia Badmouth, but that wasn't enough to make me vote against him. I didn't care about any of the other endorsements, either plus or minus.

I don't blame the Hinds County CC office 'issues' on Wray either. Last time I checked, she worked there she didn't run the office. Which of you haters tell your boss how to run his/her office?

And to the idiot that thinks the white board shown in the picture is the Hinds County vote return program - get a life. That was not taken at the Hinds Courthouse as an official return. I assume it was at some campaign headquarters watch party.

Guess there are more idiots on this site than I thought.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
