Just got word that Judge McGhee granted Thad Cochran's motion to dismiss. McDaniel to appeal. Chris McDaniel posted this message on Facebook:
I am very disappointed to hear Judge McGehee granted Senator Cochran's Motion to Dismiss on a technical filing issue, instead of hearing the case on its merits.
Nevertheless, I trust that God has a plan. We may not always understand, but all will be revealed in time. Although we do not yet have our justice, my prayer is that God's will be done. I likewise pray for all involved (including those who wronged us).
In the coming days, I will keep you informed on our options.
Standing and fighting for you and our principles has been the honor of my life. I am grateful for your support and proud to call you my friends.

did anyone really expect a different outcome? this will drag out for years, McD would have stood a better chance waiting to run the next election, as it is he will still be going to court over this one!
And now comes the whining.
It's so unfair.
It's a conspiracy.
It's a racist conspiracy.
It's an establishment conspiracy.
It's a muslim/jewish/antichristian/athiest conspiracy.
It is an Obama, Hillary, Eric Holder, Boehner, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert conspiracy.
Please give us more money. . .
The Tea Party isn't good at policy, isn't good at the law, but they sure know how to whining for more money.
What a sad day for the integrity of the voting process. As shameful as it is, maybe it will just go away now and let the stain on the MS Republican party start to fade!
Can we exhale now? Thank goodness. Surely the MS S.Ct. will affirm since the Judge's ruling comes across as a common sense, and Kellum is absolutely on point.
As for Chrissy: HAHAHAHA Just stay deep in the Jones County piney woods from now on TeaBagger! No point in your coming back to Hinds County for anything, including the Senate. In fact, since you were going to throw all our votes out in Hinds and Madison, you little Nazi, you are not welcome again in these parts.
He's called, you will never guess this, a PRESS CONFERENCE next Tuesday to make an announcement concerning whether to appeal. It is time for mainstream media to give this assclown the complete cold shoulder and no one show up.
@2:49, you left off "The judge was bought."
The Soggy Bottom Boys have played, and McDaniel is now Homer Stokes to Cochran's Pappy O'Daniel.
"My friends, this battle is not yet over. We must continue to push this as far as needed to uphold truth and democracy, and fight for what the people really want, which is me".
"Oh yeah, send $50 more dollars to cover costs. I may need to go to DisneyWorld again".
Well, its not Springtime for McDaniel and Ellisville!
But could be the McDaniel we know? Woe me. Mo money please!
Or to put it in Tea Party parlance: "Oh Scheiße!"
and let the stain on the MS Republican party start to fade
It won't fade.
It's fitting that this is the 9th anniversary of Katrina. Drive our Gulf Coast and look at what has happened in those years. Thank men like Haley, Trent and THAD for getting a lot of federal help to rebuild our state. These people are conservative, for sure, but are compassionate and will open the govt. coffers when there is dire need. Good thing we haven't lost the compassion yet.
2:51, you have it totally backwards.
A great day for the integrity of the voting process.
There was nothing wrong or out of line for the election process on June 24th, or June 3rd (you remember, the same rules and laws where McD claimed he should just be declared the winner because he got 1300 more votes than Cochran.)
McD and Tyner made up all kinds of crap about what happened in the runoff. Just because they said it was true doesn't make it true.
They had zero evidence of anything that actually happened that was illegal. There was no evidence of any fraud. It was not a perfect election, but neither was the June 3rd election - or any other election held. Ever.
Yes, there are some elections that deserve to be contested. There are some that involve fraud. There are some where there are only a handful of votes different so that common errors could have made the difference and thus deserve a re-do.
But this was none of the above. Again - no fraud. No corruption. No statutory violations. Yes, some common errors by some pollworkers, but none that were significant enough to make a difference in a 7700 vote election.
Only bad thing about today's ruling is that there is not a chance to debunk all of the crap contained in Tyner's 3-ring binder of "evidence".
Guess that means that Gunn's challenge was illegit.
Praise God! Was worried Mississippi might improve from the 50th in something bad. Would cause AL, LA or AR to consider not saying, 'at least we are not Mississippi' when a shameful statistic is released. So do the Thad cross over illegal votes go for him or Childers in the fall? Keep Harry Reid!
It's a Barbour conspiracy!
2:51 pm
Do you also send money to some hot babe you met on the Internet who you believe really loves you and would be by your side if she didn't keep having one money crisis after another that is keeping you apart?
Here's a hint: Those photos aren't of her but of some con man and McDaniel is playing you as well.
The election, like most elections was not without human error, but it was fair.
Your gullibility is the reason you are such a loser.
5:22 - you misunderstand 2:51 and similar: they sincerely believe that the Cochran campaign's solicitation of African-American votes was, if not illegal, at least unethical because, of course, black votes should not be cast nor counted in a Mississippi Republican primary. That is what their claim of lack of integrity is based on. That is what this is all about. That is the onion that has to be peeled: why do they feel this way?
Do the folks in Jones County feel any embarrassment about McDaniel? Curious. I suppose in the nicer parts of Laurel they do. At least I'd hope so.
6:10, I wonder the same thing. As for the talk about how Mississippi being 50th...yea, I'm sure that's all Cochran's fault and has nothing to do with anybody you've ever voted for. Or you. Shoot, since Nevada is ranked above us in everything, maybe we should all vote for people like Harry Reid. Isn't that the logic you're using? That's sarcasm for those who may not recognize it. (But really, from what I've seen putting McD in the Senate would only increase the distance between us and number 49). Here's irony...McDaniel's challenge was based on technicalities and now he's complaining about a judge's ruling based on technicalities. Apparently lawyer McDaniel and his legal team have been taken by surprise by the fact that law can sometimes be a little technical.
I am so angry I could EXPLODE! Why can't White People riot? Why can't WE play?
Announcement: Tonight's torchlight parade in Ellisville for Herr McDaniel is cancelled. Das kaput!
5:41 - have to agree with you. And for that matter with 4:14 as well, but you have gotten to the heart of the matter, not the legal part.
The folks that think this election had problems have to boil the 'problems' down to the fact that they don't believe black Mississippians should be voting in a Republican primary. And that is why I, for one, don't really care if they decide they are going back into their cave and don't vote again. Or, if they want to, they can go join the few Dems remaining in NE MS that haven't accepted the fact that MS AAs are allowed to vote today.
Yes, there are a few of the McD supporters that don't like having to admit that their boy, and their campaign, has a racist tint. It did all along before June, but once the election was over, those various layers of the onion have begun to be peeled back and the true side of the campaign has shown through.
McGHee-Hee-hee-Hee-Hee. You are Soooo right. Go home Toga boy to The Ignorant State of Jones and hide under your white sheet because you aren't going to be elected CONstable, Dog catcher, School Board, Student Council, or any other office from here on out. And Melanie and Watson....you aren't either. Great riddance of these idiotic characters that are an embarrassment to the great patriotic State of Mississippi that our Founding Fathers would be so proud of for our principles and imtegrity in Faith Based Governance. Teabillys are the wrong doers here and we will forgive you when you serve us when we go through the drive through at Taco Bell, Wards, Krystal, and Waffle House. And we will order Sweet Tea with our order. Bye Bye.
Should've cut bait and looked for a new cash cow when Chuckles did. Up next, McDaniel and company will be holding bake sales in front of MS Walmarts to raise funds for a new "truth and justice" tour, now that his faincy RV is going back to the dealership.
I wonder if Chris has a malpractice claim for failure to timely file the contest.
7:48 - I think he would have to prove that he would have won the case had it been filed within 20 days. That's not going to happen, given how tenuous his "evidence" of fraud was.
The Illuminati caused a change in the Calendar which changed the time period available for challenges. In accordance with a 1750 act of Parliament, England and its colonies changed calendars in 1752. By that time, the discrepancy between a solar year and the Julian Calendar had grown by an additional day, so that the calendar used in England and its colonies was 11 days out-of-sync with the Gregorian Calendar in use in most other parts of Europe.
Looks like True the Vote lost their case too today.
7:48
Chris does not have a malpractice claim bc a std Westlaw search of the annotations would not come up with the Kellum. Finding Kellum was hard and brilliant.
Butler Snow lawyers ran circles around Mitch Tyner. Not even fair. Tyner had the biggest case in his life and couldn't even follow the simple rule of filing it within the legal timeframe.
nice work
McDaniel: "I am very disappointed to hear Judge McGehee granted Senator Cochran's Motion to Dismiss on a technical filing issue..."
Me: "Are you referring to that particular filing issue more commonly known as one of those statutes enacted by the MS Legislature and signed into law by the Governor of MS? Those election laws are for all of the candidates and voters of the great state of Mississippi, even those who conveniently choose to challenge an election only because they lost.
File your appeal or shut up, Mack Daniel. Just like in Baseball, there's no crying in Politics.
Was McDaniel in the courtroom when the judge announced his decision? Undisclosed location?
Congratulations to our next U.S. Senator Travis Childers. The Mississippi Republican Party just gave you the November election.
I'd be willing to bet Tyner wishes he had never heard of McDaniels. I wouldn't hire the guy - would you?
Regardless of what side one is on, the levity and "humor" in some of these posts is completely inappropriate. This is a serious matter with grim implications for the future of our nation and should be treated as such. Bad things are happening in the world on a daily basis making it our duty to be very serious and respectful as we go about our lives, and not to indulge in careless sarcasm. Our leaders should be setting an example in this (by not wearing tan suits on tragic days, for instance) but they are failing us. We do not need to turn this into a jokefest.
5:41pm I understand perfectly their arguments. I also understand that their arguments are based on stupidity.
They do not understand the laws and were too stupid to run a good campaign.
You know the phrase, " If you can stand the heat stay out of the kitchen" ?
Let me re-phrase it to " If you can't cook and recognize a pan, stay out of the kitchen" !
We need to not only keep them out of the kitchen, but not let them in the house at all!
10:22
Today was F$$kin hilarious. Vicksburg an'Gettysburg baby!
9:15 - a non-lawyer found the Kellum case; tell me why a great lawyer like Tyner shouldn't have been able to find it.
Yes, many of the lawyers didn't go back to the 1942 code. But I understand that the Kellum case was first found by folks that weren't on the payrolls of either campaigns. Kellum came about by someone that wasn't a lawyer but could read. That being the case, maybe there is a malpractice case here. But how in the world that a good lawyer like McDaniel could file it when he himself should be totally aware of the election statutes considering he was the chairman of the Senate Elecions Committee.
(Go do a little research. Don't depend on the annotations. Or Westlaw. Do some work. Its there. Not that hard. Maybe the LSAT should be reworked.)
I do love me some digests.
9:15 That's the difference between lawyers who should be doing DWIs and no asset divorces and lawyers who should be doing important political cases.
Colonel Lingus has pronounced that he will resurrect the will of the people through the righteousness of integrity and justice in a sanctimonious path to honor and dignity of the wellspring of the patriotic shots heard around the world of freedom and unbound chains of oppression due to having too much sweetener in your tea. If you like your Senator, you can keep your Senator. And The Senator from Natchez likes Colonel Lingus too. See ya McKlan..McDamn..McDoofus...McOsteen, McBye Bye.
Posted on McDaniel's personal Facebook page:

Rule that CM does not like = technical filing issue. Rule that CM likes, it's a commandment from God. Only CM hears the whispers about which is which.
qq:14 sounds like Tyner, Reeves, McDaniel and Watson should start a new firm. One that doesn't worry about facts, details, fact, case history, or any of those messy details.
If a non-lawyer can find a case (without access to Westlaw, annotations, etc., but just with a little work) maybe the new firm of TRMW won't get much work- except of course from those crazies that don't care about winning, just whinning.)
We have a winner, August 29, 2014 at 8:14 PM! Congrats...

obviously the hard core McDaniels supporters are as crazy as he is because I hear them saying that they will take the tea party block of 180000 with them. That block probably is 20,000 or less. The other people who voted against Thad were in the perfect storm. We are all fed up with washington and Thad is old and hadnt been in mississippi much so it looked like it was time for a change. That being said they will not stick with the tea party. The tea party was in the right place at the right time and almost pulled it off but the perfect storm has now broken up and left the tea partiers sitting in the mud.
Someone better tell McDaniel that there is a certain amount of time he has to file an appeal....
8:14
Absolutely brilliant, except Mack Daniel was also late under both calendars bc he was 21 days late, not 11.
some laywers are for morgage closings- others are sharks that will tear the morgage guy to shreads...
The Tea Party created it's own "perfect storm" first by claiming as their own some literally crazy and/or stupid candidates and then by letting the Kock brothers and Murdock's FOX nuts ( who even Murdock has abandoned as too crazy) fund them.
So, instead of a reform party, The Tea Party got hijacked because too many of you did not bother to take the time to learn how to make government work!
Murdock's media and the Koch's money is the only thing that's kept you in the game this long.
It's over. Really over except the formality of affirmances in the State and Federal courts. Now the slow fade for McDaniel slithering back into the dark of the piney woods from wince he and coral snakes, copperheads and moccasins come.
In the name of the greatest people that have ever trod this earth, I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny, and I say Chris McDaniel now, Cris McDaniel tomorrow, Chris McDaniel forever.

In other words, drowning once, drowning twice, drowning three times I'm out! Jumping in over your head in Kool-Aid kills.
Legal research by annotations or headnotes in the digest is per se malpractice. No careful practitioner would ever ever consider either (or both) to be full research.
I meant using digests as a research tool to find the cases you need.
please send more money
6:56 pm White folks did " explode" in 1860 and again when they donned white robes and pointy hats. And, again over Vietnam.
Rioting can be an ok short term strategy, but the long term results aren't so good if all you do is act in a stupid and destructive manner.
12:30 Aug 30th pm McDaniel is not Thomas Jefferson or John Adams and you certainly are no Patrick Henry or Benjamin Franklin!
12:30
Your attempt to re-quote Patrick Henry will have the opposite effect here to what you intend. Mississippi knows history better than that. McDaniel is not a founding father.
fish, it is astounding how "establishment" you have gotten in the past coupla years. we just had the biggest case of "jackassery" in mis'sippi history and you are doing everything you can to cuddle up to the barbours....WTF?
They let him in the club 7:59 PM. Of all the media outlets and programs statewide Austin Barbour comes on his radio show for an hour the morning after the run-off because Kingfish played the good soldier.
8:40 I suspect Barbour just wanted to reach the largest, politically aware/active audience he could.
8:40,
Please stay home for the November election. Despite the self-annointed savior of the conservatives telling us we are aren't true conservatives because we didn't drink the kool-aid, real conservatives want to see Harry Reid and Obama's agenda defeated and will vote for Cochran to help do that. Apparently the hardcore McDaniel supporters want to continue to rely on still unsubstantiated claims of illegality and fraud and effectively vote for Harry Reid in November by voting for the Democratic candidate far in some kind of juvenile protest, if the bitter postings are to be believed. I don't have to like everything about the Cochran campaign or his record to see that he is is still a better choice than a Democrat who will vote to continue Harry Reid's control of the Senate.
If McDaniel is the best that conservatives actually have to offer, God help us. And I mean that in all seriousness.
I am 12:30. All I can say is that if you yahoos really think I was re-quoting Henry or any of the Founding Fathers, there were even more children left behind in Mississippi that I suspected. And many of them are found right here on this blog.
12:30 now 11:51 pm
You appear to imagine lines from a 50 year old speech were entirely original!
It's not a surprise you are inspired by George Wallace!
I suspected as much. Thanks for coming out of the closet!
Wallace , too, imagined himself smart enough and inspirational enough to lead others!
Did you miss that he failed?
Did you miss his " line in the sand" was quickly erased?
Did you miss that your own candidate complained about being accused of KKK ties?
You simply give truth to the accusation!
You are the one not only educationally " left behind" but so stupid as to imagine political speech writers are original thinkers and creative geniuses who don't rely heavily on rephrasing the real geniuses in history !
8:40 I suspect Barbour just wanted to reach the largest, politically aware/active audience he could.
That objective unattainable on WJNT.
Oh, this too funny. Another conspiracy kook. Time to blow you out of the water or in your case, your wig-wam since you probably don't have running water or electricity and are posting at a government-funded public library computer.
I had Austin Barbour on the radio show the day after the runoff election. Yup. Damn sure did. Why? Because the Cochran campaign WON. I've done that before. Lets count the ways.
Had Tony Yarber on the show the day after he won the Mayoral election. Had Jonathon Lee on the show the day after he won the primary last year. Had Lee Yancey on the day after the Senate primary as he is a good friend of Senator McDaniel's and could represent his side. Are you now saying I should not have hosted Mr. Yancey?
Speaking of Mr. Yancey, I had him on my show THREE TIMES during the last month of the campaign. Three. I Had Pete Perry on once. I had Barbour on once. Wow. 3:2. Go back and listen to those shows and look for some bias. Try it.
In fact, I had Senator McDaniel on my radio show last winter. He was supposed to come on my radio show again but Melanie Sojourner cancelled it at the last minute and then refused to schedule any more appearances. I then had his communications director, Noel Fritsch on for a half hour. It went very well and the audio is posted somewhere on this website. Mr. Brian Perry appeared on my show for the same time a few weeks later as it is equal time.
Mr. Bill Billingsley also posted several videos on this website in support of Mr. McDaniel.
As for Mr. Barbour, you damn right I hosted him the day after the election. If I can get a winning candidate or campaign manager on my show the day after an election that draws much interest, I'll do it every time. That is how the radio business works. I contacted him the night before and asked if he could do it. What you CONVENIENTLY Left out was I also had Sam Hall on the same show as well to comment and ask questions of Mr. Barbour.
Keep going. You sound nuttier and nuttier the more you right and the more facts you leave out.
9:34 I was referring to KF's blog, not so much the radio show.
8:40, I agree with you. This is a good example of "Operation Mockingbird" being applied effectively at the grassroots (i.e. blogger) level.
10:49 am OMG Let me assure you that the CIA has never gotten in touch with me and I had absolutely nothing to do with concluding that McDaniel and his Tea Party supporters were either nuts or gullible or stupid not to see him for what he is.
Nor did KF persuade me.
Folks like 12:40 at 11:51 pm, and TTV and Tyner and McDaniel himself were convincing! And, you only add to the insanity!
What is hilarious is that it was gullible idiots like you who caused Operation Mockingbird to be overkill because you would have or did then be too stupid to recognize Joe McCarthy as a paranoid alcoholic!
Instead of watching him on film, or reading documents, you probably let Ann Coulter do your thinking and she's laughing all the way to the bank!
The comparison between Joe McCarthy and Mack Daniel is very apt and on point.
Terminal cluelessness is a terrible debilitating affliction. After reading 8:37, I was moved to make a generous donation to the National Sarcasm Foundation.
How many judges and tribunals have to McDaniel that it is over before he quits? Guess we'll find out Tuesday?
Perhaps Mr. McDaniel should rethink his party affiliation. By claiming that Sen. Cochran is a left winger, that supporting him is tantamount to supporting Obama & Reid, he has basically alienated virtually our entire delegation of Republican Federal and Statewide elected officials that support Cochran: Roger Wicker, Greg Harper, Steven Palazzo, Allen Nunlee, Phil Bryant, Tate Reeves ,Stacy Pickering, Delbert Hoseman, etc. as well as many legislative members and longtime conservative Republicans. He has anointed himself the standard by which all conservatives should be measured with Michael Watson as first mate. He also suggested retaliation could be in store for those state office holders supporting Cochran that will be seeking reelection in 2015. Additionally, by claiming statewide illegal voting, the county Republican volunteers, poll workers and Circuit clerks are being made to appear to either be involved in a master conspiracy against him and dishonest or to be incompetent. It seems to me that McDaniel is the odd man out. He has convinced himself and his flock that he is the pure savior of conservatism and the Republican party and that true justice is what ever he claims it should be.
Perhaps he should go the way of Robert Welch and the John Birch Society of late 50's & early 60's. They were "unfriended" by William F. Buckley, Jr. and the conservative movement for their outlandish purist attitude and far fetched conspiracy theories.
Now he's an expert on the "radio business". LOL
Give it up, Chris. You're beginning to smell like old cheese. Voted for you twice. Will never make that mistake again. Appeals for money are beneath sleaze.
"As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice…"
~ Chris McDaniel
@7:05. Absolutely, great comment. We should all bid good riddance to these bogus slime balls. There's nothing remotely 'conservative' about people who commit libel with malice aforethought, and these opportunistic lowlifes bring grave discredit to conservatism by falsely claiming to be conservative for their own aggrandizement, enrichment & empowerment.
As you suggested, the McDaniel campaign, the lavishly compensated 'Tea Party' org leaders of dubious agendas who backed McDaniels' unsubstantiated accusations of rampant election fraud in order to raise money for themselves, the 'award-winning' journalist(s) who unethically abetted in promoting those unsubstantiated accusations and the many anonymous (for the time being, at least) online McD supporters who cavalierly smeared other people's good names without a shred of legitimate evidence to do it may now all, if justice is really to prevail, find themselves on the receiving end of some subpoenas themselves in the quest by their victims for redress & punitive damages!
A lot of people have had their names & reputations maligned: volunteers, poll workers, circuit clerks, bloggers, elected officials and thousands of private citizens accused of deliberate voter fraud in this shameful attempt to reverse an election to serve one man's blind ambition.
Where do the victims of the reckless accusations made by the McDaniel campaign & its backers go to get their reputations back now that the challenge proffered to the court provided none - zip! - of the rock solid evidence the supposedly 'more-conservative-than-thou' fraudsters on Team McDaniel claimed they were in possession of all this time?
12:07pm
Ho hum. I do hope Chris will appeal so that the S.Ct. can affirm his loss of his challenge for the ages.
Mr. McDaniel doesn't sound like much of a Christian when he's talking about purges and enemies.
Mr. McDaniel doesn't sound like much of a Christian when he's talking about purges and enemies.
Mr. McDaniel doesn't sound like much of a Christian when he's talking about purges and enemies.
Oh looky, another face book post from the bunker.
Melanie Sojourner Shawn O'Hare can't win... voting for him your vote is a throw away. Now if he'd step aside Chris could run in his spot. State law does allow for that.
It just get's better everyday. No wonder Marshall Ramsey loves this stuff. It makes his life so much easier looking for comedic material.
There's an old saying, "Ye who laughs last, laughs best," except no one is going to be laughing when Obama signs an Executive Order after the November election granting AMNESTY to millions more illegal immigrants. When he does, WHOEVER IS THE SENATOR FROM MISSISSIPPI WILL NOT SAY NOR DO ANYTHING TO PREVENT IT. Why? Because the GOP Establishment--including the Barbour Machine--WANT AMNESTY and OPEN BORDERS. AMNESTY will destroy our country, along with the U.S. Constitution and States’ sovereignty, and OPEN BORDERS will destroy any semblance of security for Americans from terrorism. You all joke about people like me being a conspiracy nut? Well, maybe, maybe not. I’ve been doing my due diligence since 2008, and I can only pray that I’m wrong. You all laugh at McDaniel’s failed campaign? I'm not ashamed of McDaniel because he at least tried to stop AMNESTY by challenging the GOP Establishment. NO, I'M ASHAMED OF ALL OF YOU GOOD OLE BOYS, who, with your mockery and sarcasm, have belittled the fears conservatives like me have about corrupt elections and whether or not my vote still counts for something. Unfortunately, this election confirmed my worst fears.
5:40
This may just be my opinion, or I could be speaking for a lot of unsung heroes, but look around. The country is already ruint! I have to listen to you people moan and groan 24/7 about the deficit, the war(s), healthcare reform, common core obamas birth certificate ( what a waste of energy)...Yada Yada. Well, guess what?
Most of yall are older and have the privilege of croaking in the near future. I'm pretty darn young and have to live with this crap FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE! You thought you were starting some pray the problem away revolution, but that's only more madness packaged in a different box!
We need real solutions to real problems, not imaginary holy men of god espousing salvation through politics.
I'd humbly ask you to refer to your bible about wolves in sheep's clothing, but you're to stubborn to do so!
We, as a country, as a state.......are moving forward one way or another. No one said it would be easy.
We'll get around to the crisis on the boarder when dc becomes un gridlocked!
How old are you 7:37 PM?
The young man makes some good points despite the grammatical errors.
You young folks need to step up. You aren't helpless in determining the future.
How do you know it is a "young man"?
"I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice…"
AND THE AMERICAN WAY!
It's "truth, justice and the American way"!
Chris, if you're going to plagiarize, and your narcissistic self-delusion is that of a legendary comic book character, at least get the slogan right.
@ 7:37 PM. I don’t know how old you are, but stop blaming the older generation for the mistakes of YOUR “entitled” generation. If you want solutions, put on your big-boy britches and start using your brain to come up with solutions. I’ve tried talking to 25-35 year olds and no one is interested in what the older generation has to say. I hate to say it but your generation would probably not survive if the plug was pulled on the power grid because of YOUR reliance on YOUR tech toys. (I’ll bet Cliff Notes are even accessible on your iPad.) Sure, my generation made mistakes—giving their children everything they wanted without working for it and trusting our state and federal governments to have our best interests at heart. We should have stopped working long enough to challenge our government but we didn't. Another mistake was trusting our educators and school boards to properly educate our children. Instead, I’ve discovered the systematic and INTENTIONAL dumbing down of American children through public school systems across the country. Until the 2000 Presidential election, I considered myself educated and relatively informed. After the Florida chad fiasco, I realized our elections were vulnerable because our state and local governments were NOT PAYING ATTENTION to voter fraud. (Unfortunately, here in Mississippi that issue was complicated by race issues.) However, it was not until the Bush Administration that I realized Americans were not being told the truth about what our government was actually doing and that the media was complicit in helping the federal government cover up its activities—especially in our foreign policies. Yet, I still believed my government would abide by the U.S. Constitution. Fast forward to 2008 Democrat Presidential race, and the red flags were out big time. When an almost complete unknown, un-vetted politician got the nomination, then elected, I knew America was in trouble. Yet, I still trusted the Legislative and Judicial branches to bring the Executive branch to account. Well, we know how that’s turned out. The rest will be history—American History and World History—which will never be covered in schools because THIS GOVERNMENT—doesn’t want you to THINK ABOUT, REMEMBER OR CHALLENGE how our country became a part of the New World Order. Personally, I still have hope we can turn this around, but it won’t happen until YOUR GENERATION and MY GENERATION sit down together and come up with solutions. It's going to take all of us who want the same thing--a sovereign United States of America under the same rule of law of the U.S. Constitution. At this moment, the only civilized recourse ordinary people like me have is THE VOTE. When you lose THE VOTE, you had better pick up your weapon and defend yourself and your freedom the best way you can.
7:37 " I don’t know how old you are, but stop blaming the older generation for the mistakes of YOUR “entitled” generation."
Uh, the biggest inter-generational transfer of wealth is going on, sending money from young workers to guys like you (Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid for nursing homes, etc). These youngsters didn't set up this Ponzi scheme - YOURS DID (but the young ones are paying for it). Enjoy your entitlements, you old goat.
