Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Trollfest '07
Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Sonjay Poontang and his band headline the night with a special steel cage, no time limit "loser must leave town" bout between Alan Lange and "Big Cat"Donna Ladd following afterwards. Kamikaze will perform his new song F*** Bush, he's still a _____. Did I mention there was no referee? Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

Lee was on his game.
Sorry Kappy but you don't live in Jacktown and don't understand the dynamics.
Lee's a goner.
He can hoot and holler all he wants on your radio program Kingfish about how he didn't campaign in NE Jacktown but the vast majority of his net margin came from Ward 1.
So Yes, your title of this post is wholly appropriate. Weep Lee. Weep.
Dayum! They is dynamics in Jacktown?
Lee swamped Chokwe in Belhaven. Po' Tom. Not enough voters from Uranus there.
Precinct 16 (Woodland Hills Baptist Church) was 27% turnout. Harvey and Chokwe got 17% each and Jonathan Lee got 53%.
Across Canton Ave at the Fondren Presbyterian Church poll box ( Precinct 17) had 44% turnout with 80% for Lee and Harvey got the rest. Not even a dozen righteous voted for Chokwe.
Chokwe is simply put, a black intellectual. He will make radical change in Jackson. Which is what is required to have social development. Lee will be just another technocrat who manages the farm for the master.
wow, 8:14AM, are you really that dumb or are you just "funnin" around?
"Not even a dozen righteous voted for Chokwe"
"black intellectual"
"radical change"
"social development"
"technocrat who manages the farm for the master"
It's really sad to see the racist attitudes of some blacks and the ignorance that they willfully display. All they do is hurt themselves.
Until we rise above our color and vote for mutual progress and not just "black progress" we will remain in the back of the bus. Not because of "the master", but because we are more worried about being given a seat than we are about earning a seat as productive citizens.
Couple of things:
Any ideas on why Precinct 1 was such a low turnout & is their percentage normally so low?
I've been told that Councilwoman LaRita Stokes moved, without notice of any type, Precinct 19. It was moved from the corner of Palmyra and Fortification to Cherry Grove Church. People were lined up at 7:00 AM at the previous location and continued to come in all day trying to vote. The owner of the polling place for 19 was never notified and called the day before the election to ask where the chairs, etc. were and was told that Mrs. Stokes had them move the location???
@8:14 anyone who has seen Chokwe try a case knows he is anything BUT an "intellectual."
Wondering what is meant by 'social development in Jackson'. And, once defined (as if) how would Chokwe manage to contribute to it.
A schoolhouse can't 'develop' a child who has been raised to be a miscreant. Nor can a mayor raise a city which has languished in sloth, by choice, for decades.
Like all the other black mayors, Chokwe wants to increase his PERS benefits, at retirement, and wants to run an employment office.
Lumumba would be a better role model for the youth. Lee is really not candid or honest. He has employed the best legal talent to help with his business situation.
Social development is not in the Websters Dictionary and Wikipedia redirects to 'social change'.
Lumumba would contribute thru his character and leadership. Taking municipal initiatives from the grassroots level of social needs such as utilitarian and moral approaches to education. Social development is slow. Like 'quality of life' it is somewhat vague. Political purposes are linked to social betterment, but the political life is only part of it.
2:44, are you drunk, crazy, or just stupid? The idea that Chewe Bacca is an intellectual insults and mischaracterizes the use of the word "intellectual." What kind of a role model goes to Cuba and denounces the US? He wants reparations for slavery because, as you saw in his video, "US was built on the backs of black people." And Chinese people, and German people, and Irish people, and anyone else who worked in factories in the 1800's. Go crawl back in your hole and get some of that education you think Chewe Bacca is going to give the youth of our city.
"...utilitarian and moral approaches to education". What meaningless drivel, Tom Head. Can you comment on the current 'amoral approach to education' or advise the group on a non-utilitarian approach, now employed?
Can we just call him Edwin. His name is Edwin. He chose some ridiculous other name to get rid of his "slave name". Idiot...
The precinct level results favor Edwin.
THe decline of Jacktown continues. The metro area will suffer, unfortunately.
"utilitarian and moral approaches to education".....like a bad song ringing in my head. I won't sleep for days trying to figure out what that means.
This is only one example of the 'education' Tom Head managed to get, online and through home schooling. As has been said before, the 'man' has never been in a physical classroom in his life.
Education is a highly practical unless one is simply studying for the ACT. Instruction in food preparation, grammar, writing, balancing a check book, plumbing, & c are utilitarian in nature as opposed European history or art. African or Near Eastern history might be more appropriate to Jackson students with ancestry in those continents. Values are best taught by parents but the schools can follow up. Healthy habits are likewise.
I am discouraged that so few, including the candidates themselves, seems to understand the role of mayor and know what a mayor can or cannot do to effect change.
A mayor with a city council can present plans, can appoint and hire ( one hopes) competent people to carry out the business of the city, but primarily, a mayor is our city's " host" and marketer. He is the face of our city.
He should have good social skills and be able to put our best foot forward with those who visit our city and consider doing business with our city.
Even though I've read John Stuart Mill , I cannot imagine how a mayor CAN take a utilitarian approach to education. Will he be lecturing in the auditorium on the difference in utilitarian and epicuran philosphers? If so, I think an ethical slant would be simpler..." Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" as opposed to situational ethics.
Should either candidate read Mill, I hope they read all of Mill and not pick and choose. Then they will know Mill believed those who benefit from a society are obligated to contribute to society and that happiness is an "altogether" concept.
But, perhaps, the best guidance is found in this century. Nelson Mandela understood one doesn't achieve anything by becoming like one's oppressors. Yet, sadly, I've seen too often in Mississippi that good old boys come in all colors...who benefits from the political spoils is the only change that takes place.
In a sidenote to an article written by Donna Ladd, she said she had been denied access to a Lumumba event a few years ago because she was told it was open to blacks only.
Has anyone followed that unbelievably racist tidbit? That's pretty effing astonishing and damnable.
I don't care if it happened years ago. Lee's past was fair game before the JFP confronted him with not telling the truth.
i think it fair game to follow up on this. Hello, anyone?
