John Blalack, who was in the vehicle with John Aaron Rice the night of the Deryl Dedmon murder of Mr. Anderson, was out at the American Idol concert Tuesday night with his girlfriend to see local star Skylar Laine. (The reports of the incident have his name spelled incorrectly as John Blaylock).
I guess some of the guys really did get off without any punishment.

Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Trollfest '07
Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Sonjay Poontang and his band headline the night with a special steel cage, no time limit "loser must leave town" bout between Alan Lange and "Big Cat"Donna Ladd following afterwards. Kamikaze will perform his new song F*** Bush, he's still a _____. Did I mention there was no referee? Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

He should be in jail just as the dedmon boy is... WTF !!!!
I think this boy was the only one who was a minor at that time, so perhaps he was dealt with in juvenile court, which would not be public.
Keeping in mind that his mere presence is not enough, is there any evidence this young man committed a crime?
Stated another way, is it reasonable to believe that this kid participated in the crime, and the detectives, FBI agents, District Attorney and US Attorney all said "f**k it" and let him go?
He didn't go straight to the police the minute he got out of the car.
Do remember also, that this was not the first time Rice and his " posse" had beaten black men for "sport". So Blalack could have refused to get into a car again with Rice.
It seems to me he got off light and doesn't seem to be suffering much in the way of consequences.
Many people don't know right after the murder happened he went on a missions trip with First Baptist Jackson. While on the trip he was calling the local police departments wondering if their were any warrants for his arrest. Why would you call the cops and ask if you were wanted for murder if you were innocent and guilt free?
John's shirt looks like it threw up on itself.
I would say having to sit through that concert would be a severe punishment.
Just remember KHRAMA's a bitch.. I hope in 20 yrs or so when his little girl bring home her first boyfriend.. he a black male...
Nah, I'd rather him get very drunk, knock up a black girl, and have a black kid.
@9:10, I wouldn't say calling to check for arrest warrants is evidence of a guilty mind. Seems like that would have been on the minds of every occupant of the vehicle, innocent or not.
Yeah, that KHRAMA's (sic) a bitch alright. KF, I almost suggested your last comment was beneath you and childish, then I reconsidered. It's rather par.
9:10; please feel free to publish your backup for that crap-claim about the phone calls from the Mission trip.
Since the boy hasn't been put under house arrest or otherwise detained by the constabulary, I reckon he's free to go to a concert or the new Saturday brunch in Fondren or to a disaster in the Grove next September if he wants to.
These comments bring to mind what that Jesus of Nazareth fellow said. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
oHHH pleease, Mr. Dees! really? come up for air!
Shadowfax I am friends with people who were on the FBC trip with him and they told me that
Kingfish, Shadowfax just threatened to hit me with his purse, "thlap" me an pull my hair!
HELP!
I see a lot about this "hate crime", which was heinous, but I never saw much said about the hate crime when a white man from Vicksburg was run over by black men in a truck and killed. He was merely having lunch at a restaurant off Lakeland Drive, saw them bothering his truck, and when he went out on the parking lot they jumped in their truck and deliberately ran over him and killed him. Is that okay? Evidently it is only a hate crime if it is a "white against black" crime. Blacks beating a white man to death who was working to repair damage done by burglars --
that wasn't a hate crime? I am not for anybody killing another human being, but that racist factor works both ways. A white man was run over by a truck and killed, and a black man was run over by a truck and killed, and what's the difference? They were both horrendous crimes, but you hear nothing about the hate crime against the white man, do you? He was just forgotten, like the man who was beaten to death.
Just saying ---
8:06, if the perpetrator kills the victim because of his race, it's a hate crime. If the perpetrator kills the victim for any other reason-such as to steal the victim's stuff or escape afterwards-it is not a hate crime. You have to look past the race of the perpetrator and victim. It's about the perp's motivation for the crime, and nothing else.
Curt, we would have to be mind readers to interpret what a murderer was thinking while he was deliberately beating someone to death or running someone down with his truck. However, if two crimes are the same, both are deliberate and intentional actions, to me they are both murders. I see them both as hate crimes. I neither excuse nor rationalize murder.
Just my opinion.
The girlfriend is Katie Fulton of Brandon. Her Mom is Leah Helms who was in the news a lot raising money for Batson Hospital after her baby died.
Just found this post. There has been a restraining order put on John Blalack to keep him away from his former girlfriend, Katie Fulton. Is there any way to find out why?
Leah Helms allows her daughter, Katie Fulton, to hang out with this guy? What is she thinking? She is out raising money for Batson Children's Hospital while allowing this kind of crap?
I would stay far away from all these people.
This guy is a racist!
He just graduated also and has a dam good lawyer I think that is why
I know that he put in a plea of not guilty recently. I wonder when it will all go down? He needs to be taught a lesson.
I believe that he is now single. The girl in the picture has seen his true character
and the downward slooe has started
Maybe they have been building their case against them?
Well, it looks like Blalack is finally having to answer for his actions. I hope that the girlfriend Katie Fulton has distanced herself from him.
i wonder who co-conspirator A is? page 1 count 1 #1. must be someone in the know that is fully cooperating, maybe in return for immunity? must be a lot of heads shaking in brandon about this. they probably thought with the passage of time they were in the clear, and woke up to this. i can only imagine the parents shaking their heads in disbelief after reading the indictment. plus, the huge expense of mounting a defense. guess the orig ones now waiting sentencing will have to wait longer until after the trial to learn their sentences. no way they will sentence them until after they have testified. what a waste of their lives and let us not forget that racism is unfortunately still alive and well in the usa, despite what scotus says. the wheels of justice sure turn slow, but at least they turn. suppose the lawsuit will be amended as well as it should be
trial sate coming up soon. no doubt it will be delayed. John Louis Blalack, 20, of Brandon; Sarah Adelia Graves, 21, of Crystal Springs; Robert Henry Rice, 23, of Brandon; and Shelbie Brooke Richards, 20, of Pearl, entered not guilty pleas Wednesday on various charges including conspiracy and committing a hate crime.
Each was released on a $100,000 bond. A tentative trial date is set for Sept. 15.
I'm so sick of everyone worrying about a minority of the population who continues to prove their worth. After reviewing statistics, it's obvious which segment of the population is responsible for 90% of the problems.
I don't want to hear any rebuttals etc...The TRUE MEN of this country need to take over their families and this country again.
The leadership of Jackson,MS further proves my point.
hope he enjoyed the concert, wont be going to any for a long time. he got the max, so why did he plead guilty? should have gone to trial. the shade he wore to court ffir the guilty plea, wont need those fir a long time either...

i hear it isnt over yet, spme others better keep looking under the bed as they are coming to get you too. plus a juvenile or two are implicated as well. so momma and daddy rice raised two "good sons" . blalack, his idiot ministers probably really did him in, saying it was gods will fir anderson to due so that blalack could be redeemed....
20 years to think about what he did
Must be trying to appeal the verdict. Has still not been entered into the system. Robert rice finally got moved to okc transfer center. All the rest, except blalack have found new "homes". http://www.bop.gov/inmateloc/
what about the juveniles that were involved with this? Has not been any mention of others being prosecuted.
.
Something wrong here, is he in witness protection? No listing of him as a federal inmate bureau of prisons.....
I spent time with him at FCC Forrest City Low. Apparently he started out at the medium but didn't dare leave his cell because he would've been beaten. Once he got to the Low facility right across the street he acted like he ran the place.
