Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Trollfest '07
Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

Move over, Miss South Carolina
Sounds like a verbatim Nancy Pelosi speech.
I wonder if she knows cash is as good as money.
Protest 'equality and change' .... wow. Just wow. I received this in an email earlier today - good to see the news is spreading about 'haftin to be uproared'.
The selectivity of both the liberal and conservative media is fascinating. They each find the craziest or dumbest people in the crowd ( be it Occupiers or Tea Partyers) to interview.
That there are college graduates in both crowds and those who have " done the right thing" or that both crowds are frustrated with the irresponsibility of Congress gets lost. Hell, it's even lost to those protesting either Wall Street or deficit spending...two problems which are not unrelated.
As long as we fight among ourselves, those laughing all the way to the bank with our tax dollars or all the way to China with our technology and knowledge , will be pleased.
With that clear and succinct of a message, she should replace Obama.
You know......you know....you know...
5:59; I've listened to enough Hannity radio shows (and so have you) to know that if you were to interview two hundred of these people (or four hundred), not a single one could tell you 'where congress is located', not a one could identify the House and the Senate and none could not tell you which party controls either.
Aren't you embarrassed to be part of a generation that can't identify the vice president by name, can't tell you the name of the past three presidents in order and can't name a single current cabinet member?
Yet you DO know you want more stuff you haven't worked for and you're (collectively) willing to smell like urine to demand it.
As long as we fight among ourselves, those laughing all the way to the bank with our tax dollars or all the way to China with our technology and knowledge, will be pleased.
Oh, yes, the myth about the great accomplishments that can be achieved through compromise and respectful dialogue.
You Know = Brain Freeze
That's easy for her to say.
WHAT the actual F??
I like how she speaks of how traveled (I guess?) she is from all of her "train system" experience. She must be a very learned person.
Wait, I just watched it again, and I think she has me on her side.
See, it's that dern Homeland Security keeping them down, y'all. I didn't realize before that's what she was trying to say. They can't concentrate on getting jobs and degrees because of HOMELAND SECURITY. perfect sense now.
Pathetic, but 7:05 is right. The current youth, regardless of social or financial position, are not as smart as we were. I have a test that I give my kids' friends, and I have four from 16 to 30 so I have been doing it awhile. I ask them to start with the current President and work backward. Most get the first one right, many can remember the one before, but it drops off pretty quickly after that unless hints are provided. Most of the kids are high level public school or private school educated. One young man was able to get back to Nixon, although it was during the Clinton years so he had a shorter path. Our kids don't read anymore and it's going to be a problem at some point. Bill Billingsley
No, the generations that have come after you have just figured out that it doesn't matter who the president is, because both parties in this country are controlled by large corporations, and a huge, self absorbed, whiny assed block of voters called baby boomers.
And since when is rote memorization the same thing as learning? Or in any way indicative of intelligence?
It's not rote memorization, it is interest in one's society, gov't, etc. Particularly if you are wont to hang out in a park for a month under the auspices of protesting said government and its connection with those in the finance world, you should be able to prove that you have at least a modicum of understanding.
Otherwise, I suspect you're just looking for an excuse to slack off, misbehave and complain.
Please leave Obama's voting base alone!
Reed and Bill are right.
The average IQ in the US has dropped from 100 to 90 as well.
But, we've also devalued a liberal arts education ( for Pavlov's dogs who want to bark when hearing the word " liberal" that means simply that a general education needs to precede a specialized subject focus). We no longer give our students a general understanding of philosophy, logic, science, history, anthropology or psychology and so they have no context and no general understanding of the world around them and how subjects interrelate or simply " how things work".
When I went to college it was required that I have a foreign language proficiency, philosophy, history, civics or political science, literature, psychology, sociology, art or music appreciation, advanced math courses, religion, biology/botany or physical science all before I was allowed to take the first course in my major. Now students are " exempted" from some of these courses before they ever get to college or the colleges don't require them at all. Having taken AP like courses in high school simply meant I had to take the higher level of math or foreign language etc. offered, not to be exempted .
If you were a " smart" kid the " benefit" was getting to learn MORE, not getting a pass.
It's so easy for a reporter to find the crazy ones in any crowd...be it these folks or the Tea Party gatherings.
Could it be that both groups have lost confidence in government ? Could it be that the politics of divisiveness are coming home to roost and that both political parties succeeded beyond there wildest expectations in convincing the public that the other party was the root of all evil?
Those in government really ought to realize that their ultimate self-interest isn't solely in their wallets but also in making sure society functions before they find the hordes at their gates.
Haven't they learned anything from the fall of those who enriched themselves at the expense of the public?
For those in politics, please spend some time learning about " noblesse oblige".
I asked my 15 year old to name the Presidents in reverse. He missed Gerald Ford and Warren G. Harding. Otherwise he got back as far as McKinley (which is how far back I got).
That is a good test for people today, kids or adults.
@9:07, I'm really tired of this conflation of the tea party and the OWS month-long street party. The two groups have almost nothing in common. It's easy (actually lazy) to lump them together. The funny thing is that those who mercilessly derided the tea party (calling them "teabaggers", for on example) are now trying to assign virtue to the OWS crowd through these specious comparisons.
So which is it? Are the tea partiers racists (a la Janeane Garofalo) hiding their contempt under religion and patriotism, or are they righteously indignant folks who represent the obverse of the OWS coin?
Basically what I'm hearing is, "OWS is not so bad, they're just as fed up as those racist, sexist, Obama hating teabaggers."
Give me a break.
Here's the major difference: Tea Partiers vote, and have for years. They are united in their desire to see this country stop digging into debt and laying it off on the taxpayer, and want government to leave them alone so they can pay their own way.
OWS doesn't vote (except for Obama in 08). They are united in the desire to have a good time in the street for as long as the party lasts, and want government to intercede and pay their way.
How many acts of rape (Occupy Cleveland), public masturbation (Occupy Madison, WI), indecent exposure to children (Occupy Seattle), assault with a knife (Occupy Hartford, CT), or theft (OWS) were reported during tea party rallies?
These groups are as different as night and day and to group them together is idiocy, period.
If she says "You know" one more freaking time!!! I know she's an idiot.
Reed, these groups are different in that they have " bought" into the blame assignments for the mess we are in that has been offerred up by the extreme wings of both political parties.
Their distrust of government and authority is the commonality or aren't you reading the polls?
Another difference is in how both groups were formed. You really ought to explore the origins of BOTH.
BOTH groups, however, are primarily WHITE and primarily MIDDLE CLASS. That is not MY opinion, by the way, but comes from research by LeHigh and other academic sources.
Sociologists are very interested in these protests for a reason and you might ought to be concerned about why that is the case.
The middle class is suffering and disappearing. Both parties have a role in that and how one's ox has been gored has something to do with which " blame" an individual assigns. Where you reside also is a determining factor. The Deep South, the Southeast, the Northeast and the West and Midwest don't see things the same way for a reason. If you had been born in Boston, your political views would be quite different. If you had been born Latino or Black or into a different religion and all else was the same, you would have different views on political issues.
But, if both movements continue to grow as is likely and if authority and government remains entrenched and unable to see that THEIR power and position is in jeapordy, VERY bad times are ahead.
THAT is what should worry us. That should worry us MORE than a terrorist attack or anything else. But, it won't because our political parties have been very successful in programming us to fight among ourselves so that we cannot see how we are all in a sinking boat.
But, if both movements continue to grow ...
OWS is a made-for-TV joke. The only thing about that "movement" which is growing is the number of bowel movements they are leaving in public places.
