As a gambler, I don’t think he has a chance in hell to win. He doesn’t fit the Mississippi republican test. Phillip Gunn will be ur next governor. He left politics to rehab before he ran. That way his constituents can forget what he did. I want to enter the prediction markets on this one because it is so predictable. Votes don’t count in Mississippi because u hold elections than if it turns out in a way u don’t like, u just change the law. Think state flag and Thad Cochran/Chris McDaniel. The politicians are smarter than their people and they need to make sure the people stay in their lane. Hence why we have Cindy Hyde smith, token woman. She will be there as long as Bennie Thompson. Those 2 are so representative of this state.

My biggest concern about Shad is his devotion past and present to Phil Bryant, to whom he is beholden even for the position he is using now for higher office. We all know Bryant's story; will he be pulling Shad's strings?

When he audit's the board of realtors and the board of contractors ... I might pay attention. As of now, he turns his back on the real problems. Over 800% increase of contractor licenses between 2022-2023. The largest EVER.
How many are foreign companies? How many business men are 'contractors' that have never held a tool but they can make a deal and hire a sub.
All these data centers coming ... no real enforcement on licensing or skill. Open book tests for people who should not be in the business.

Then add the fact that the SOS can't keep up with business addresses. How many are foreign with fake addresses? Instead of technology that tells them an empty lot is being used as an office address ... they let it slide.

Shad has let the competition declare. That being said, I'm not sure he could beat The Hat nor Phillip Gunn. He could run for Lt. Governor and get in a better position in 8 years though. I think he could beat Watson on name recognition alone.

Shad the more you say Trump the more the moderate Republicans will vote against you. The way I see it is that the Heehaw folks will vote for The Hat and the extreme MAGA will vote for Shad and the schoolteachers and elected folks won't be voting for Gunn (who really likes him). The person responsible for the financial fraud can't "turn himself in" with whistleblower protection.
