Good news for Downtown Jackson. The Daiquiri Bar is finally closing. The owner announced on Facebook:
Of course, this hood rat has to play the race card. Sorry, dumbass, no one is trying to run a business out of business because it is owned by blacks. People want you and your bars gone because murder, mayhem, and violence happens at your establishments. How many shootings took place at the Daiquiri Bar? The street takeovers. The homicide. The Daiquiri Bar should have never been allowed to open in the first place and should have been shut down years ago but unfortunately, we live in a city that lacks the backbone to shut down businesses when they are out of control.
Thank you Kane Ditto, for buying the building. Now we can get something that will compliment the Mayflower.

Since most of the partying and shooting is done in the street, the only reason he needs that building is to make money off of it. Why can't black bars and restaurants operate within the confines of their actual footprint?

Wow! In my world, we don't allow alcohol. So, I had to look it up (it's amazing how much money you save when entertaining, how many worthless people avoid you and your homes and your parties, and how many invisible doors to powerful places open, when people know you're not a boozer). Daiquiris are made of sugar and rum (but if bartenders squeeze-in actual fresh lime juice, at least there's that). Which is worse? The sugar or the alcohol? Or is it the 'Sugar-n-Alcohol SYNERGY'?
Apart from getting naive virgins drunk, via a sugary drink (which leads to knocking-them-up, and @#$%ing-yourself-over, for the rest of your life - not only with decades of child support - but with the burden of a Fetal Alcohol Syndrome child, doomed, from birth, to be LESS than one who was conceived under wiser circumstances), is there any reason to want to drink a Daiquiri?
I mean, if you want to be bloated, ugly, and crazy (and have rotten teeth), why not just have a Mountain Dew? The sugar will do all of that - particularly the 'Crazy' part. And if you want to get drunk, why not just have vodka or something (Vodka's low-carb, and you can spray it on moth infestations). At least 'Doin' the Dew!' involves caffeine.
Personally, though, I'm not seeing Daiquiri Bar patrons killing each other, as being a bad thing.

I’m very happy Dittos bought the building and is making them leave. He’s part of the new Mayflower ownership group, so it’s a smart move for him.

The chaos continues outside of the "classy" 4th Ave Lounge. Check out Hinds County Mugshots on FB for video of last night's round. Why would anyone want to live downtown when this occurs all the time? Why does law enforcement allow people to loiter outside these businesses when we all know what that leads to?
You’re aware that Jackson leadership as well as JPD are toothless. If this happened outside of the city it would be shutdown and someone would go to jail. However considering JPD officers apparently join in on doing illegal street stunts in parking lots with trespassers who is surprised.

I hear there is a large building down off Ellis that is empty now. Move the daiquiri bar to Martin’s Furniture building. Plenty of space and parking for a “club”
