State Bean Counter Shad White issued the following statement.
Today State Auditor Shad White announced that Special Agents from his office have arrested Richard Creel, former Jones County Beat 4 Road Foreman, and Tommie Landrum, contractor, for allegedly embezzling property belonging to the Jones County Board of Supervisors.
Creel and Landrum allegedly engaged in a scheme to embezzle county-owned culverts and transport the property to a predetermined location provided by Landrum. Creel also allegedly attempted to have witnesses provide false information to agents in an effort to hinder the investigation. Creel also allegedly embezzled fuel from Jones County and converted it to his own personal use.

WHo....Me? I didn't do nothing.
And Phil Bryant is a free man. Shameful.
Do I hear some dueling banjos in the background? Maybe some squeeling?
Stealing culverts? Their freedom will soon be going down the drain.
“How dey gonna catch us??”
Famous last words…
Those family trees don't have many branches.
They been hitting the pipe.
Throwing their life in the gutter.
Embezzlement and stealing, a literal pipe dream.
I heard they started to get unruly during their hearing. The judge told them to pipe down.
What law did Bryant break?
I got my law degree from reading Jackson Jambalaya, so I was wondering whether the indictment charges any crime(s} with the degree of specificity
required of a charging document.
They don't value their freedom very much.
I'm not an investigator, but I would bet the stolen assets are buried under someone's driveway.
Their pipe dream didn't last long.
What's the difference between a "Special" agent and a "Regular" agent? Just Askin...
