Update: The agenda item was apparently worded poorly. The City Council voted to approve paying CTEH for services rendered, not remediation of the "microbial growth." Deputy Cultural & Services Director Mike Williams said the city received several proposals for remediation Friday and will soon present a contract to the City Council for approval.
The Jackson City Council will approve a contract for remediation services at Thalia Mara Hall today. The agenda for today's City Council meeting states:
The resolutions and accompanying documents for the hiring of CTEH and purchasing the chiller are posted below.

Has the person or entity responsible for building maintenance been fired yet?
They better get that $37,000 upfront.
Is CTEH, LLC registered to do business in MS? I don't see anything on the SOS website for it. Kingfish, have you looked into this?
WHEREAS: grift, grift, grift.
@10:21 AM - Duckduckgo is your friend. cteh.com, with an office in Flowood, and incorporated in Arkansas AND Mississippi (as The Center for Toxicology and Environmental Health, LLC (CTEH, get it?)
@10:21 The internet is your friend. It is probably cteh.com and they have an office in Flowood. They appear to be experts in the field so let's hope it is them.
TMH set to reopen November 2025.
Cteh is based out of Little Rock. They do emergency response. I suppose they can do mold abatement too. when the train wrecked in e Palestine oh, they had a few of their employees get killed when the airplane crashed leaving the mena ar airport.
@10:58 AM - For their sake they had better be experts in "accounts receivable."
CTEH was the company that took the samples and did the analysis.
What? The council wrote an agenda that is ambigious? Tell me it's not so.
"Items Included: Offloading, rigging and set in place chiller for temporary operation on grade in loading dock parking area."
$254K on the ground in a parking lot downtown - what could go wrong?...
Look under Center for Toxicology and Environmental Health LLC. Filed for Mississippi registration in 2014.
Currently (since 2020) merged with Montrose Environmental total 2023 revenue $620 million.

Good ole Chuck is dragging his feet on this one. But what doesn’t he drag his feet on ?
Gettin' PAID!
Just for zhits & giggles (now that it's too late), do an image search for "One Ton Portable Dehumidifier". None of my buildings have ever required anything that size, following "interesting times". But such units do exist.
If somebody'd rolled-in a dehumidifier, during the time window before it became too late, maybe the water from the dehumidifier could have been poured into the planters where the DEAD PLANTS are, now. Maybe they'd still be live plants. But the dead, brown ones sure do look pitiful: saw those on the news, last night. And the 'Pitiful People Cargo Cult' has learned that drawing the money down from Yankeeland, requires a convincing PITIFUL ACT. So, never mind...
Man, can you imagine graft heat while the feebs are hot on the trail of unindicted co-conspirator "C"?
