Update: Hobo has a home! Several readers responded and one of them was lucky enough to adopt Hobo. Thanks to all who responded.
Hobo makes an urgent plea for help to JJ readers:
My name is Hobo. I am about four years old. When I was young I was
neutered and ended up homeless in the area of the Jackson Country Club.
I am a really nice cat and love the people who feed me but I am afraid
of everyone else. I have been eating every
day at a nice home in the Jackson Country Club for two and a half
years. I stay outside all the time. I am a good hunter and make sure
that the area around me does not have mice or squirrels or pests. The
people I have been staying with caught me and got
me vaccinated. But sad to say, they are moving from Jackson and I need
to find a new home. I am easily cared for and only require a little
food and water every morning. I may want to sleep on my blanket on your
back patio if you will let me.
I hope I can work to earn my food by making sure your property is free of pests. I am a very kind cat.

Hobo, I am wishing you the best and hope you find your forever home in JCC! We have a cat like you so I know how awesome you must be!
Toonces!
Hobo flee like your owner
I know any home would be appreciated, but if Hobo is going to remain an outside cat, it would be best if someone in the neighborhood could take over his care. That's his territory.
I hope Hobo finds his forever home. This should include consistent veterinary care and inoculations, a collar with ID, and containment -- this for his own welfare and for others.
I agree with 3:43, if someone adopts him as an outside cat in another area, he's likely to disappear trying to find his way back to JCC.
Naming a cat h--o is highly inappropriate and offensive to the transient abode challenged among us. What a terrible cultural appropriation by an elitist Jackson Country Club snob. Name your cat after a character in Caddyshack next time.
5:41 is correct.
Likewise, if you were to pick up the 'solicitors' at the corners of 55 and Lakeland, blindfold them and transport them to an unfamiliar location, they would go stark raving mad.
I hope Hobo finds another home in CCJ to feed him.
I would be open to taking him in Flowood, but I do worry he would probably try to go home or not enjoy unfamiliar surroundings.
