JXN Water issued the following statement.
Starting June 5th, JXN Water customers can use a new number at any time to reach their water utility about billing, report leaks, document service issues and share what they think about their water.
The call center’s new number is 601-500-5200.
“JXN Water is improving for the better by improving the overall customer service experience. This new number is available 24 hours a day and seven days a week, ensuring we’re able to quickly respond to customer’s questions and provide excellent support,” said Ted Henfin, JXN Water’s third-party water manager.
To make payments, JXN Water customers should continue paying online or at one of the 15 payment locations throughout the city. JXN Water has purchased multiple payment kiosks that will be operational soon to increase the number of payment locations.

You are now going to have to pay your water bills. The free ride is over.
Just used it to pay my bill which seems to be representative of what I actually used in the past month. Best part is that Lumumba's lying, ugly-ass face isn't on my computer when I go to my account anymore. The second part is a major improvement and has my thumbs up.
OK, carrots thus far are Hennifin quit the marxist plan of billing NE Jxn to pay for W&SWJxn water and sewer, but where is the stick for those who continue to coast on free water and sewer? Only threat of pain will cause the deadbeats to move water and sewer bills up to top of list of payments.
oxynoron-- "quickly respond"
WHEN has Jackson quickly responded to anything?
Not quite, 1:18. Henifin today at lunch answered questions from the media, and said that he still plans to institute his marxist plan of billing - just not going to do it slightly different. He stated he thought he could do it and stay in compliance with the new state law by calling it an 'interim plan' that would be based on square footage of a residence (with maximums, of course) UNTIL the folks in Jackson have confidence in the new metering / billing system; something he said could take a couple of years or more.
So he thinks he can skirt the legislature's statement to him that his (and his United Water Alliances's) attempt to use Jackson as their social experiment example to make the middle class residents pay for the excesses of both ends of the economic scale. To that I would say "good luck" but I think his attempt might get stuck in court for a lot longer than he wants to stay as an interim resident of Jackson.
Also he plans to build a 'guardrail' around those that "can't afford to pay" - something else that is not allowed by state law.
But still, creating an actual working call center where people will both answer the phone and provide accurate information, is a job well done
"improving for the better"
thank god.
The dude is one of those "from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" kinda guys. He's an "expert" in water systems "equity". He's also into certain "additives" that are placed in the publiKKK water supplies. How do you think he got the job?
Repair times for both sewer and water are improved. It only took a few weeks after he took over the sewer as well before I saw multiple vacuum trucks running around clearing out clogs that have been there for months.
Will the same worthless employees the City employed be running this call center?
But will he do anything about the water tasting like algae?

Amazing what will happen when bills get paid.
Will this new Water Service Call Center be as amazing, reactive and as spectacular as Jackson's 911 emergency call center ?
Watch Tate take the socialist stuffing out of Teddy with a special session.
It's only gonna be as good as the folks who staff it........*sigh*
The honorable water czar has been very quiet lately. Maybe he is spending more time in the People's Republik of Boston than Jackistan. Right?
Will the water service center be staffed by the best customer service deadbeats that Jacktown has to offer? They don't answer 9-1-1 much of the time, so water calls will be an improvement?
@1:47
You saw Hennifin's remark before I did. He does acknowledge 7,000 unbilled/ unpaid accounts and says they must pay, so I guess he'll try to get Feds down here to force his marxist system and get deadbeats to pay a fraction of actual use based amount and declare such as "equitable". Of course 7,000 does not include unmetered users.
I'd like to bill the landlord-property owner full amount, let him add water allowance to rent, then City is out of the loop for blame if water cut off.
Now bleeding lines in NE Jackson as water smells and tastes like dirt.
Hard to shower in bottled water
This is shit
