Rankin County Court Judge continues to fights sepsis. The Brandon Police Department posted an update from his wife on Facebook Friday:
The past week has been a roller coaster with not much improvement in his condition. Earlier this week, doctors found that a kidney stone was lodged in his ureter and this is believed to be the source of the infection. He had surgery yesterday to place a stint in his ureter to keep it open and allow the bacteria to pass out. The kidney stone will be removed later when his condition is more stable. We were told that the first 24-hours following surgery would be bumpy and to expect to see a decline in his condition. The decline did occur. However, he seems to be stabilizing this morning but remains in critical condition. Now that the source of the infection has been addressed, we are hoping to see him turn the corner. We ask for your continued prayers. Thank you to all of our family and friends who have reached out to us and supported us with your prayers and well-wishes and offers to help with whatever we need. The outpouring of love and support has been amazing and means more than you know to me and his family. While I wish I could respond to each of you, it is simply impossible. Please know that your support has not gone unnoticed.

Continued Prayers.
I am so sorry he and his family are going through this. I hope he recovers fully.
Hang in there, Tom. You’re one of the kindest people I met in my two decades in Mississippi.
