The Mississippi Department of Public Safety issued the following statement.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred on January 15th, 2023, at approximately 4:00 a.m.
Jackson Police Department responded to a call of an armed robbery near 2603 Highway 80, Jackson, Mississippi. One subject did receive injuries in relation to this incident and was transported to a local hospital. No officers received any injuries. The other subjects did escape and are believed to be armed and dangerous. If anyone has any information, please email MBITIPS@dps.ms.gov or scan the QR code below. All tips are anonymous.
MBI is currently assessing this critical incident and gathering evidence. Upon completing their investigation, agents will share their findings with the Attorney General’s Office.

Did this Officer get approval to shoot an armed robbery SUSPECT. This Officer will be on desk duty for A long time.

These fools target franchise restaurants where kids work with no protection (weapon) they are less prone to rob mom and pop places of business because they are more prone to fight back with deadly force. Just my opinion!
Thanks to the police that responded, you will probably be reprimanded and put on administrative duty until you learn not to shoot these young aspiring entrepreneurs.
