Emails Show Fauci Stifling Scientific Dissent

Uncovered emails reveal Dr. Anthony Fauci and NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins teamed up to smear scientists who disagreed with their Covid-19 edicts last year.  None were too credentialed to escape Fauci's fury as he sought vengeance against those who dared question "The Science."

The Hill's Kim Iverson blasted the Dr. Fauci as well as the media last week on Youtube.

The scientists called for an end to lockdowns in the Barrington Declaration last year.  They said such pandemic policies should be targeted towards those most vulnerable to the Covid-19 virus. Such groups include the elderly while those deemed less at risk such as young people should be allowed to lead normal lives.  The group included epidemiologists, statisticians, and scientists from universities such as Harvard, Stanford, Oxford University, and other distinguished universities.  Of course, such a change of direction in fighting the Covid-19 virus meant Dr. Fauci would no longer be able to play dictator.  Can't have that happen so let the persecution begin.

The media attacks began immediately as the reporters labeled the scientists as kooks, credentials be damned.  Thou shalt only discuss government-approved science, pass the hemlock, please. The emails show the government acted in conjunction with the media to stifle dissent.  To think these are the same media outlets that gave us The Pentagon Papers and Watergate.  Now such reporters are merely trained government seals - nothing more, nothing less.

*The Barrington Declaration states:

As infectious disease epidemiologists and public health scientists we have grave concerns about the damaging physical and mental health impacts of the prevailing COVID-19 policies, and recommend an approach we call Focused Protection.

Coming from both the left and right, and around the world, we have devoted our careers to protecting people. Current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health. The results (to name a few) include lower childhood vaccination rates, worsening cardiovascular disease outcomes, fewer cancer screenings and deteriorating mental health – leading to greater excess mortality in years to come, with the working class and younger members of society carrying the heaviest burden. Keeping students out of school is a grave injustice.

Keeping these measures in place until a vaccine is available will cause irreparable damage, with the underprivileged disproportionately harmed.

Fortunately, our understanding of the virus is growing. We know that vulnerability to death from COVID-19 is more than a thousand-fold higher in the old and infirm than the young. Indeed, for children, COVID-19 is less dangerous than many other harms, including influenza.

As immunity builds in the population, the risk of infection to all – including the vulnerable – falls. We know that all populations will eventually reach herd immunity – i.e.  the point at which the rate of new infections is stable – and that this can be assisted by (but is not dependent upon) a vaccine. Our goal should therefore be to minimize mortality and social harm until we reach herd immunity.

The most compassionate approach that balances the risks and benefits of reaching herd immunity, is to allow those who are at minimal risk of death to live their lives normally to build up immunity to the virus through natural infection, while better protecting those who are at highest risk. We call this Focused Protection.

Adopting measures to protect the vulnerable should be the central aim of public health responses to COVID-19. By way of example, nursing homes should use staff with acquired immunity and perform frequent PCR testing of other staff and all visitors. Staff rotation should be minimized. Retired people living at home should have groceries and other essentials delivered to their home. When possible, they should meet family members outside rather than inside. A comprehensive and detailed list of measures, including approaches to multi-generational households, can be implemented, and is well within the scope and capability of public health professionals.

Those who are not vulnerable should immediately be allowed to resume life as normal. Simple hygiene measures, such as hand washing and staying home when sick should be practiced by everyone to reduce the herd immunity threshold. Schools and universities should be open for in-person teaching. Extracurricular activities, such as sports, should be resumed. Young low-risk adults should work normally, rather than from home. Restaurants and other businesses should open. Arts, music, sport and other cultural activities should resume. People who are more at risk may participate if they wish, while society as a whole enjoys the protection conferred upon the vulnerable by those who have built up herd immunity.

Heh, it’s almost like it plays out exactly like described in the SPARS2017 exercise that I mentioned in another thread that I was immediately told was a conspiracy theory.

Fauci no less a meglomaniac than Lumumba but the harm he has done is on a scale far, far surpassing Mayor Epic Fail.

@7:43am - Still is.

Fraudci should face the gallows - on public TV - pay per view. Along with several others. Mass Formation Psychosis. It's hard to believe people are so ... ummm ... ignorant. Seriously. Be afraid sheeple!

Yet there he still sits and has sat for 30 years ! Lol, you've been punked for profit and now they realize how stupid the masses really are. It has only just begun and there ain't a damn thing you VAXXERS can do it about it. Everything I planned for the future stolen and it's all because a fugging DEMOCRAT and a handful of "others" needed another dishonest million in their account. Greed has overtaken.

Serious question: Why can’t Fauci be fired? He appears to be untouchable. Why?

FYI. For a history of Fauci read "The Real Anthony Fauci" by Robert Kennedy, Jr. a bleeding heart liberal! He covers Covid, Aids/HIV, Swine flu, etc. and also nails big pharma and Bill Gates. The first 100 pages should be mandatory reading for all Americans!!!

9:45 : 30 years of Presidential secrets...close calls etc..... He has them under his thumb. But now he has put himself in the spotlight. I am more surprised someone hasn't caught him slipping......beat the mess out of him. He can no longer just go out....can't hang with the wife and grand kids. He has to know that he is the most hated man in America.

@9:20, Then do tell us how the exercise and it’s corresponding documentation (that I can provide you, should Fish allow links) that was run by and acknowledged by Johns Hopkins is a “conspiracy theory?”

If I conduct a “liquor store robbery” exercise on paper, publish it and then the liquor store by my house gets knocked over in the exact same fashion I wrote about, that makes me a suspect, now doesn’t it?

Anti vax nuts have been trying to smear Fauci from the start. Turn about is fair play.

@12:26, What’s not to smear? He killed thousands of HIV patients in the 80s with AZT. He funded the creation of COVID19. He floats a “regulation,” gauges public sentiment and walks it back if poor response. It’s literally all political.

1:09 : The worst part is Fauci allowed great apes to be blamed for Aids.

I like Fauci. He’s a smart guy who openly discusses the issues and tries to find a middle ground between ending the pandemic and maintaining a quality of life all while remaining politically neutral. It’s a tough job and I don’t think it can be done any better. If we did replace him, the new guy would be accused of all the same things they try to stick to Fauci as well as new criticisms for being appointed during a Biden administration.

"Those who are not vulnerable should immediately be allowed to resume life as normal. People who are more at risk may participate if they wish, while society as a whole enjoys the protection conferred upon the vulnerable by those who have built up herd immunity."

I wonder how these experts would feel about their position if they, their spouse, or children suddenly became a member of the "at risk" group and were forced to stay home under their vaunted plan and if they wished to participate in society, know that a trip to the restaurant or store could kill them or their loved one. In 28 studies (1,276 patients), pooled mortality in cancer patients with COVID-19 admitted to an ICU was 60.2%.

2:27 : Fauci is a fraud and you know it. Hasn't stepped foot in a lab in 25 years ! You like him ? Well, he hangs with Bill Gates hoss. Guaranteed he doesn't like you. You enjoy folks who lie to you daily ? Wow.

2:27 Please tell me again what Fauci's early, at-home, treatment protocol is? I seem to have missed it for 2 years. What is Dr. Dobb's recommended treatment? I cant seem to find it anywhere either. Yes, Johns Hopkins Center For Health Security, which is a think tank, did in fact conduct an exercise called SPARS 2025-2028. The exercise dealt ONLY with how the media should respond to a emergency-use-authorized vaccine gone bad. Why did they do this? Why did they feel it necessary to plan for a coordinated media response to vaccine injuries and deaths caused by a EUA vaccine? You tell me. I need a good laugh.

All of you anti-science plague rats are the reason this virus is still an issue in 2022.
Every single one of you shameless imbeciles are responsible for, and totally deserve, the public safety measures that you will soon find yourselves subjected to.

You cannot stop this virus. The vaccine unfortunately failed to offer any true protection and fails stop the spread. Animals can get the virus so forget about stopping it. You can get sunshine, get healthy and fit, find some happiness and please… a little dignity. You are free to take you bi-monthly vaccines. If you get sick you can choose from an ever growing list of early treatments. On the other hand you can live out the rest of your days in fear, masked within an inch of your life, begging the government to tell you what’s allowed and miserably bullying your neighbors. Only in your sad dreams will your fellow citizens be subjected to your “measures”.

I agree with 7:16. I’ve been exposed many DOZENS of times, have active, sports playing kids in elementary school, high school and college, none of us are vaccinated and none has contracted covid. May get it tomorrow, but I’ll pass on the vaccine. Everyone I know that has it at moment is fully vaxxed. My friend and I were are an event where many caught it and we didn’t. This is just my experience.

There is a lot of difference in academic freedom and the constraints of policy decisions which have to be " doable". Also, they assume resources and authority that didn't exist.

Reading this list, it's scientists that would have taken far more restrictive postures in containing this virus.

11:03 Please see the Barrington Declaration. All scientists, including, as I recall, a Stanford Nobel Prize winner. However, the anti-lockdown strategy conflicted with the Great Reset "solve et coagula" objectives, which, according to John Kerry, "will happen much faster and with much more intensity than most could imagine".

3:12,
I recommend that you stop listening to Alex Jones. You may be new to his grift so I will tell you that he admitted under oath that his schtick is an act to sell brain force suppliment pills and water filters. He still lost his defamation case for claiming that the Sandy Hook Massacre was a hoax.

Anonymous said...

Faust Fauci has sold his soul.

Anonymous said...

Why should they quit listening to Alex Jones? Jones is right more than the main stream news organizations are. Maybe you should quit listening to the PROGRAMMING of the major networks. Oh, I understand, you have never had an independent thought of your own, so you need the PROGRAMMING of the major networks to form your world view. Critical thinking isn't your strong suit, so just carry on.

Fauci's wife, Christine Grady, is the Chief Bioethics and Head of Human Subjects Research at the NIH. Her job deals primarily with "informed consent". So Tony got the blessings of his wife to push all the vax mandates. You can now sleep easy.

Anonymous said...

Anyone who believes Alex Jones speaks the truth is a moron. An Info Wars fanboy implying he has critical thinking skills is humorous.

Anonymous said...

Not only critical thinking, it is thinking all together.

Wonder what is behind this? I doubt Fauci will tell you

Hmmmm

@5:15
4:12 here
Alex Jones was being called out as a controlled opposition, disinfo shill as far back as the 1990s by true patriots like Bill Cooper.
Alex Jones has never once said the name “Lord Evelyn Rothschild” on his show.
That says more about Alex Jones than you will ever comprehend.

Anonymous said...

Alex Jones serves to poison the well.
He will take an important truth and salt it will lies that are easy to prove and discredit. This misdirects the midwits who know something is wrong but aren’t intelligent enough to see the big picture. It is a common tactic used to discredit opposition in the minds of NPCs while distracting midwits from real truth.

His water filters are actually really good though.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
