Apparently a legislator thinks a law doesn't apply to him or her.
The pictures below was taken at the I-55 Kroger. There was no handicapped hanger on the rear-view mirror.

Laws don’t apply to the ruling class or Mercedes-Benz drivers.
This is America.
The Obama '08 sticker in the window has nothing to do with this matter. So all you haters just stick to the facts. And those are mind your own business plebe.
People who work for the government are above the law. Local, State, Federal...doesn't matter.
Ok. Who was it ? Silver Benz.......
Tow the privileged ass.
She is from Jones County and thinks she is special
Leave the Honorable Omeria Scott alone.
First off, there are plenty of able-bodied idiots who manage to get HC tags through deceptive means. Then there are those who just feel entitled to park wherever they want. What bothers me more about this photo is a state legislator tag on the back of a Mercedes - it's offensive on so many levels. What they have in the bank is their business but this is just getting around an expensive car tag using a government title.
Rules for Thee but not for Me!
When will this kind of behavior ever end? (In this case perhaps when an officer writes a ticket? but probably not)
That's not even a parking spot. Technically, it's part of the handicapped spot next to it and provides extra room for wheelchairs to access handicap vans. It also allows room for wheelchair access to that side of the car. Why don't the Sheriffs deputies who work security at Kroger write tickets for obvious infraction of the law?
What should happen in today's world is for the person who took this picture to wait and either video or get a picture of the person coming back to the car. These people need to be shamed just like the politicians that are imposing mask rules on kids while at the same time partying it up. Unfortunately some people don't even care about being shamed.
Klassy.
This blog is literally cyberstalking and harassing an African-American female legislator. How low can you go?
Between the Dan Berger diatribes on the Fairfield Inn wine bar and these posts about parking spaces, this blog is hitting on all cylinders!
11:32, could you tell her race and gender by looking at her car? All he knew was that said person was a legislator and parked illegally.
11:32 : How low can you go to give this POS a free pass cause she black ? What if your Granny needed that spot ? Different tune ?
That's not even a handicapped space. Its a no parking area next to a handicapped space. Surely one of the know-it-alls on this page can track down the name of the owner.
10:53 : Some do indeed act this way but do not put a blanket over the whole please. From many one does not apply when it comes to POS who take handicap parking spots.
Good job Kingfish. This photo should be brought to the attention of the violator. This was a willful act. Not only is this not a parking spot it hinders the vehicle that would park next to it to unload a disabled person.
Apparently you can personally go even lower 11:32am, since you seem to be defending this behavior?
Imagine being handicapped and watching someone who's salary you already pay with your tax dollars, waddle their lazy ass back to this self created parking place.
I will never understand the plebes defending their abusive masters like this.
@11:32 cyberstalking??? Hahaha. That’s a good one. She was illegally parked. If she didn’t want the attention she should have parked legally like most people (people outside of Mississippi) do. Also, you must not have many dealing with handicapped people. Let me let you in on a little secret. Someone that’s wheelchair bound wouldn’t be able to get out of their van with that privileged politician taking up the space.
@ 11:32
1. Nobody is stalking anyone. It's a picture of a parked car.
2. What does the person's race and gender have to do with anything?
Some Mississippi Legislators make laws for the people and not for themselves.
Honorable Omertà Scott you should be ashamed! Park in a damn designated parking space. Set an example!
Months ago I was cruising down Hwy 84 east between Collins and Laurel, this same vehicle/tag with Ms Scott driving, past me like she was late for the last call at Charlie’s Catfish!
My wife looked at me and said “ that’s totally unnecessary, why are people in such a hurry?
11:32 it ain’t the legislator, it’s the damn car in question. Ms Scott do you know who was driving you car on the day in question? Let’s take a look at the surveillance cameras!
I don’t know which is easier getting a handicap tag or a bag of weed.
Just another "set aside" entitlement for the downtrodden.
How low can you go? How about parking in a handicap parking spot. Probably hindering access to the van next to it. You would hope and pray the folks that represent us would have better judgment.
11:32-Didn’t take long for you to raise the race card! Do you think a minority female legislature has special privileges not afforded others. If people would realize that the current African American population of the U.S. is 14% and the majority of the 14% have been afforded the same benefits of the other 86%. So get over the excuses, race baiting, anti-white privilege special privileges that
You seem to expect.
11:46, it is easy. The tag identifies the individual legislator. Doesn't take a rocket surgeon or a brain scientist to figure out who the car belongs to, and from that the area of the state and the race of the individual is also known.
Next?
Love all this concern but the fact is most of you if not all have done this or know someone who has. As a wheelchair user of 5 years now I see it ALL the time...the difference is we know the owner of this vehicle because of her tag. I'll admit I've done this before becoming a wheelchair user...I'm not proud of but it is true...all the blue is a part of the accessible parking. Where this vehicle is parked if the person in the van needed space to move from their wheelchair/mobile scooter they couldn't without difficulty.
Honestly, the person driving or the type of vehicle matters not...accessible parking is already limited and being used by people who don't need it. Oh yeah, while I'm here...don't touch a person's wheelchair without permission (even if you just want to help)... Thanks for coming to my TedType!
expired tag too....02/20!!
I don' think she has ever authored any bill of significance.
In my entire 25+ years of driving, I have never once parked in a handicapped spot.
Simple fact.
Just thought anyone with morals did the same.
Granted that excludes most politicians immediately, but I weep for society if 2:12 is correct.
2:12 : 52 years old and have NEVER parked in a marked handicap spot. Just sayin.
The plate is "80" - how many reps does District 80 have (of whatever gender, orientation, or skin tone)?
I refuse to believe that someone is incapable of parking legally just because she is black and female. That would be racist and sexist. Therefore, this person needs to be called out publicly, as she was elected to represent the public.
I wish someone would start a service to start blocking these idiots in illegal parking spaces.
Same with the big ass UPS vans that think they have a right to block
major streets while they make a delivery.
No, this is not about skin color or one's sex.
It's about idiots that cause great difficulty to the people that need these parking spaces.
"This blog is literally cyberstalking and harassing an African-American female legislator."
Really? You're the same type of clown who thinks hollering 'RACIST' will shut people down.
1057 first sentence
Now forsee Medical Marijuana
I'm 65. Been driving since I was 15 (grew up in a different state) and have NEVER parked in a marked handicap space. NEVER.
I guess my momma raised me right.
I'll bet the car was still running since the legislator was going to be right back.
Four years ago, a group of us put enough pressure on DWFP to get a game warden fired. He was a general asshole to begin with; however, when we gathered several photos of his state truck parked in handicap parking spots, and sent those photos to Jackson, the agency had had enough.
I’ve never parked in a handicap space. However I did use to be an elected
official. One thing smart elected officials know is never identify your car.
No personalized plates, stickers, tags, etc. This legislator was wrong to
park in a handicap space; she was/is stupid to have ID’ed her car so that a
photo could be taken and published to amplify her bad parking decision
all over the media.
Headquarters, next 51 on rotation please.
She parked way over here so she could exercise walking to yonder Wendy's.
If I ever have to park next to a situation like this to let my handicapped mother do her grocery shopping I will bang the almighty fuck out the car with my piece of shit door I don’t give a rats ass about. There you have it.
