That mugshot is from a long while back. Kid has struggled for a long time. Great family dealing with a no-win situation, and the system certainly broke down. Kid has been trouble for 15 years AT LEAST. I hope every lawyer, judge and cop who helped him slip thru the system every time is sleeping well tonight.

Just for anyone else who may see this, especially because I can remain anonymous. This was not a situation where he just wasn’t given money. “William” has been on a downward spiral and was on a bath salts induced psychosis when this occurred. He was an extremely troubled person. Not somebody who snapped because he wasn’t given money.

I've known the family for over 25 years. The kid has always been a firecracker, too bad he didnt calm down as he aged. Family is full of amazing folks! You can't tame some. Many people will suffer as this ends... or, in fact, the cause and effect will never end. Bless them all, and all the kids who will have to suffer.

Truly a tragedy. His Dad was a great man. The family is a great family. Please keep the family lifted up in prayer.

I hate to dash your delusions of superiority against the rocks of reality. But most Mississippians were exposed to the term, 'Oedipus Complex', either in high school or as college freshmen. In case your knowledge of Mississippi comes from watching Dukes of Hazzard reruns, it may be necessary to tell you that the Mississippi you see on the television, is NOT REAL. It's fiction. Mississippians are, and were, taught from the same textbooks as everybody else. We sat in the same desks, made by the same factories, as everybody else's desks. We rode in the same ugly yellow buses as everybody else. We had our young lives wasted by the same stupid sports as everybody else. And, like everybody else, we learned that Oedipus was obsessed with his mother, and so psychiatrists.... something, something, something... who cares?).

God bless, comfort, divinely heal this family as only You can. Grant them Your merciful peace that surpasses our understanding. Wrap Your loving all-mighty arms around this family & remind them that our identity is is in You alone and not any of the troubles or tragedies of this world.

The truth is that domestic violence knows no race, color, or social status. Anyone who thinks they, their family, or home is immune to the potential for some type of domestic violence is not in touch with reality. Our local centers for violence prevention are not just fir battered women. They exist to guide and support individuals and families dealing with inner turmoil & complex issues. Numerous free support groups are available in most community throughout our stare.

On the race issue that was so inappropriately injected into this conversation & just down right tacky... My personal opinion is that in our day & age the only ones keeping racism alive are the ones accusing others of being racist & presently a monumental blockade to a better future for all. In my heart, mind, & soul & way I view human being, racism died with hoop skirts (thank goodness!). Terrible injustices of the past should be left in the past. Can we all just agree to officially grow up and put our energy into our future where we all focus on treating everyone with equal respect? We each have a choice to invest our time & energy to an existence of blaming others or we can choose to actually live our lives embracing the many good things our future offers us all.
