You simply can not make this up.
It almost reminds one of this blast from the past.

Reminds me of The City of Madison Politics...
I miss Walter Cronkite.
Funny stuff!
Reminds me of a couple of weeks ago when the forecast included wind speeds as high as 27 MPH and the Kroger in Madison was full of sheep getting “prepared.” Probably some of the same sheep that were heading to their favorite football campus the Saturday after Katrina in 2005 when gas stations everywhere were running out of fuel.
As for Fake News, it’s always been fake. The Clarion Liar was lying 30 years ago just like it does today. But, the internet and sites like these have made it probable that we will catch them and given us the ability to call them out.
Journalism 101…you don’t report the news, you “make it!”
How so, 11:11?
Or how about this bit of drama from NBC?
More flooding in New Jersey
Very funny. It’s sad how tv media likes to think people buy into all their hype. I guess gullible people are everywhere. It’s also a shame you can’t find real news on the TV. Trump is 100% right on target about fake news. I call TV news (local & national) the nursing home news. If you want real news you have to search it out online by using your brain. You can find it on social media if you put your mind to it and THINK.
Jim Cantore would never do that. //roll eyes//
Here is a slightly longer version.

Old news. The weather channel would piss on a tree and call it acid rain if it brought in more ratings. They were bought out.
Get Wunderground
@7:13
You realize that wunderground was bought out by The Weather Channel right?
They do this with all news. It's in their DNA to lie. Wake up sheeple!
News is sold as a commodity. That means it's part of the "free enterprise system" and it's life therefore is dictated by the marketplace. They must give people what they want. Not necessarily the truth. Nothing more disgusting than a dyed in the wool capitalist complaining about "fake news".
the medias favorite thing to report on is themselves
Hurricanes support an industry, including weather reporting, clean-up contractors, FEMA, etc. It's big business.
MSM media is systemically rotten to the core. The Internet exposed it all for everyone to see. Now they want to censor and control the information available on the Internet.
I miss Walter Cronkite.
So you miss the days of America having only three TV network gatekeepers?
8:18 is truly a socialist. What makes you think all Capitalists want to watch fake news? Some of us don’t invest in media, unlike you if you have a 401k that does. This is just the beginning of what communism is about. Feed the people all the fake news. Tell them everything is a myth and shove the major networks down our throat with their version of what they think is right for you. HRC would love to tell everyone that she is not a liar and you all would believe it.
I wish Walter Cronkite was still able to report. They don’t make them like that anymore. Our generation screwed the media up very bad just for money and ratings. Reporters should tell the truth even if it hurts. If they are good at it then they will succeed and climb the ladder. If they are bad then they won’t. Simple. Maybe I see it wrong but I don’t think I do.
Local news is poorly disguised advertising. National news is 5 minutes of content wrapped around 20 minutes of pharmaceutical sales.
Go back to bed, 4:00 a.m. Football games in Mississippi were cancelled when Katrina hit. Although many of us did sit in gas station lines for over an hour.
Walter Cronkite had us all fooled. He was the original liar but we never knew it. He was totally complicit with the fake news from the administration via Westmoreland. Every night we listened to Cronkite lying about Nam numbers.
Is that Brick from the movie Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy? @8:18 I have no problem with them producing a product for sale. The problem is that product is presented as truth, and their fake outrage if they are called on it. The main sources of "news" has been propaganda for over 100 years. Yes @11:21, even Walter Cronkite. It is usually the gullible, the young, naive, or the supposed progressives that take this propaganda at face value. The progressives claiming to be open minded. My experiences with these progressives, it appears they are so open minded their brains have fallen out.
Think about all the corruption reported on here at JJ that none of the other media in the metro+state doesn't cover and hasn't EVER covered.
OK - 3:47. I thought about it. What next?
OK - 3:47. I thought about it. What next?
Hit the tip jar. You're probably too cheap.
What is the best source of online news? (excepting KF, of course)
10:59 AM, I suppose I was dreaming on that Saturday after Katrina on September 3, 2005 during the fuel shortage while seeing SUVs full of sheep heading to Starkville?
But then why do we get this via Wikipedia?
September 3 (2005) MSU beat Murray State (Jr. College?) 38-6 in Davis Wade Stadium, Starkville, MS with 41,143 in attendance. “Allegedly” the game started at 6:00 PM.
Looks like somebody is guilty of more FAKE NEWS.
Cronkite was a Martha's Vineyard east coast elite liberal, but he kept his left leanings to himself on the air.
I don't recall him censoring the battlefield news from Vietnam, but I do remember the graphic battlefield videos on the evening news which fueled the violent protests and terrorist acts back home.
Let me say first, that I in no way supported the Vietnam police action. This comment concerns propaganda passed off as news. Cronkite is the one which really began to present something other than facts, and events. It was damaging enough, the previous 50 years or so, with the news media, mostly print versions, later radio, of course television, selectively reporting and slanting the facts and events. Cronkite opened the doorway to where we are now. I remember as I watched Cronkite say, not in so many words, that we, the U.S., was not capable of winning this engagement. History has shown this to not be true. This man had not the knowledge, or expertise to make this judgement. Yet, he took his prominent position, used the trust of the American people to sway the decisions of the leaders of that time. It was a troublesome time. Evening, after evening giving death tolls for the day. Showing the body bags of our fine young men being brought home, with the right vocal tone inflection giving the viewer a feeling of discouragement, and defeat. The unrest in the streets, and college campuses. Yes, I remember, but I digress. The propaganda machine has been a well oiled mechanism. It had been being built for several decades, Mr. Cronkite, bless his anti American heart, put it in operation.
10:22 You do not have to be a socialist to understand that the marketplace, i.e. supply and demand dictate production, be it cars, corn, soft drinks or news. The truth is one thing (go to church and pray for it) the news is another. If you want the news to be nothing but the truth you will have to establish a non-profit organization probably state controlled (impossible?) which most people will probably find boring anyway. And it will obviously be considered socialist. The news business has never, never, presented the real truth. People would not buy it.
The social media comic parodys are best..about 7 out there..the one made by the firemen...using a hose, leaf blower, chairs and bicycle pulled across by rope, debris thrown at the reporter is best...its on Kelly Lacour ladt tweet about fake hurricane coverage...Wolf Blitzer also got caught with a fake wind gate coverage on Florence
Friend in Charleston said that a couple of the news crews brought big fans with them.
Choco rations are up 26 percent.
