Then there is this little punk move by Petrino:

Was that at the end of the game? Although Houston Nutt is a flake, I hope Ole Miss hires a coach with class. Les Miles took it easy on Nutt, not so with Petrino. Good luck to LSU the rest of the way. My redneck neighbor thinks I'm a AL fan--he should know, only LSU is worse drunks than Ole Miss! Year of the Tigers!

When Petrino coached at Louisville, there was a game against Kentucky and Louisville had the game sewn up with 5 sec left ,,, all they needed was to run the game out, but Petro called a timeout with 5 secs and proceeded to score a touchdown on the next , and last play.

Petrino shouldnt go pointing fingers at anyone...
Good for LSU

The best college football team since the two teams in 1959

GO DAWGS! Three-Peat.

Petrino is a jerk, but he's still not as bad as con man Houston Nutt. Think a really good upcoming head coach or coordinator with more opportunities coming is going to want to begin and end his head coaching career at OM? I think not.

When you get your a$$ whipped what's three more points. Until Petrino quits playing Big 12 type football in the SEC, he's never going to beat LSU or BAMA ever.

Petrino has a pretty short memory. He beat State 44-17 last week. He didn't have a problem scoring a 2 yd touchdown with 3 minutes left against us...I have a hard time understanding why he would be bothered by the field goal Miles kicked with 5 minutes left.

I hope the Mad Hatter remembers that douche move next year.

Coach Miles is the best thing that has happened to LSU in a long time.

The more the SEC fans get to know him,
the more he is respected.

I vote Les Miles as Coach of the Year.

Never thought I would say this, but :
" GEAUX TYE-GAHS"

Fire Dan Jones, Party in the Grove,...and Shoot the damn bear.

Post Script:

Bobby Petrino's childish behavior after the AK / LSU game officially qualifies him to run for the
Jackson City Council.

MS Football is pathetic. Sad. Neither should be in the SEC.

I didn't realize Miles kicked a field goal. The board moderator seems to have overslept this morning. A little COWBELL is in order.

As to the "Sad-Pathetic" bullshit, did you by chance catch last year's Gator Bowl or two Cottons in a row four years ago? Your panty-waist regional arrogance is showing.

RE: UM and MSU "shouldn't be in the SEC". Boy is that stupid. One: $35 - $45 million a year each in TV and Bowl moola. Two: If UM and MSU are not in SEC how do we get 3 teams from the West as 1-2-3 in the nation - an unprecedented score. You must be from elsewhere.

The two best teams since 1959?!
This year's Bama and LSU would hang 50 on either 1959 LSU or 1959 Ole Miss team.

It would be ugly, very ugly.

Heck, the kickers today weigh as much as the Offensive Lineman did then. I know a guy who started on the 1969 Ole Miss offensive line. He said he weighed 180 at the end of the season.

10:02. The 1966 Crimson Tide finished undefeated and untied, and dominated Nebraska in the Sugar Bowl 34-7. Their offensive line avearged 187 pounds and Nebraska's a then mammouth 250 pounds.

It was a different day in football. You can't compare the 2. That would be like saying Mike Tyson would defeat Jack Johnson. DUH.

No but Joe Louis would've kicked his ass. The rules on blocking were a little bit different back then. Either of these teams would've beat the heck out of those 59 teams. Bigger, stronger, faster, and different schemes. Much more aggressive schemese on defense.

DISAGREE 12:01. Joe Louis would not have gotten out of the first round with Tyson, or more than 3 with Ali.

His charging, "smallish for a heavywight" style would have doomed him early.

Kingfish said...

Disagree. Watch first round of Baer fight. He took everything from that guy then beat his ass. Louis could take a punch. Tyson also had problems with good offensive jabs. a 25 year old Larry Holmes would've knocked out Tyson. Cassius Clay would've made a fool out of him before he knocked him out. I think these guys would've knocked out Tyson:

Ali, Louis, Holmes, Foreman, Norton, Liston, Holyfield.

Frazier would've been a tossup. Jimmy Young in his prime would've given him fits.

It is such hypocrisy for LSU and Les Miles to complain about bad sportsmanship from anyone else. How can anyone justify starting a convict at QB?

"How can anyone justify starting a convict at QB?"

I'm sorry, is "QB" some sort of church position in your denomination, like alderman or deacon?

Because in the present context, I think it's supposed to mean "quarterback," and I don't see where a criminal record has any relevance to one's being a good quarterback.

... N.b. Miles's keeping the QB in, even after Arkansas went 14-0 on Jefferson's interception. That paid off, unlike Dan Mullen's "musical quarterbacks" game, which hasn't worked out so well.

Have a little faith in your QB; he's got enough to worry about on each play w/out fretting whether he's going to get benched next drive (or mid-drive).

Last year Mullen stuck with Relf, and the guy threw 4 TD passes in the Gator Bowl, stunning everyone (including himself, I bet).

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
