Rumors of Holmes CC pulling out of Goodman are surfacing for the past few months now. Relocating sports to ridgeland campus due to lack of law enforcement and activity around the campus in Goodman.
The Highway Patrol knows what they are doing! It’s more than what you see! The Sheriff Willie March is in too deep! That all I need to say.
Barely a fifth of Holmes students attend @ Goodman while over 50% are @ Ridgeland and trend data @ Goodman is going in the wrong direction. Maintenance at that ancient and underutilized Goodman campus is a boat anchor on the system budget.
They need to look into the scam the Sherrif runs where if you have a hunting camp in Holmes County you need to contribute to his campaign fund if you want protection on your property while you are away. If you don't, and someone breaks into your property, they won't even bother showing up or investigating. If you do contribute, you won't have much of an issue at all. This is the reason recreational land in Holmes County sells for much less than surrounding counties. That place is tucked away out of the public eye but as corrupt as they come.
Its so odd to me that the entire internet is mad about a young man's suspected drowning off the MS Coast, but they are not mad that a toddler was murdered in Jackson or that Holmes county is the location of so many black deaths?

Likely because the local media did not share the tragic toddler murder story to the networks. The networks picked up on the boy found dead on the island story, likely hoping that any suspect is white. The media like to keep black-on-black crimes quiet.
Once one network runs a story the others parrot that story to maintain market share and keep up with the Joneses.
Holmes CC-Goodman is really just for the baseball program. If they ever move that to Ridgeland, Goodman campus is done for.

Holmes County seems to come in at # 3 nationwide, behind Washington County. Of course, when hardly anyone lives in a county, you shoot 3 people and the per capita skyrockets.

Except for Eastover meadowbrook highlands the McGowan lake neighborhoods Woodland Hills and CCJ. I guess then it would be Jackson light if it had any of that. I live in Jackson and I had a camp there and it was broken into and no law enforcement ever did a thing in pickins
10:25 am The difference in crime in wealthy neighborhoods vs poor area is dramatic everywhere in every country. Poverty breeds crime and sorry, but wealthy people have ways of recognizing one another and no it's not that MAGA or all designer clothes crap. It has a lot to do with good manners, being well education (self-education is possible), well-spoken and posture/poise. Indeed, being " too flashy" is a sign the person is nouveau riche.
According to CDC statistics, of 1147 counties in the United States, Leflore County ranks first in gun deaths and first in gun homicides per capita. To make matters worse, six counties in the 2nd Congressional District made the top ten list of the most murderous counties per capita in the nation. Again, out of all 1147 counties. By any standards imaginable, we are in a crisis. Time for Cash?
