Will National Credit Union Administration Board seize family cats?
A federal judge froze all assets and accounts belonging to Leigh and Chad Bridges in the Jackson Area Federal Credit Union scandal. Leigh was the President of JAFCU until she was fired earlier this year when the National Credit Union Administration Board uncovered an alleged embezzlement of up to $95 million. The Bridges allegedly used the funds to purchase a Steinway piano, $10,000 handbags, multiple homes in Eastover and on the beach, and expensive jewelry.
Leigh Bridges became President and CEO of JAFCU in 2021 after serving as CFO. She signed all financial statements and handled all account reconciliations for wire transfers. The Board suspended Bridges on April 17, 2026 as it investigated alleged embezzlement by Mrs. Bridges. NCUAB sued the Bridges for recovery of the funds and asked U.S. District Judge Daniel P. Jordan, III to issue a temporary restraining order against the Bridges on May 14. Judge Jordan immediately issued the order.
The complaint claims Bridges made bogus Automated Clearing House entries, large wire transfers to her personal accounts as well as luxury retailers, and fraudulent entries in the general ledger. In other words, the President allegedly doctored the books while she looted her employer. Chad and Leigh allegedly used their share accounts at the credit union to further their fraud.
The parent credit union alleges Leigh made over $51 million in false entries in their share accounts from 2015 to 2026. The complaint spells out how the money was spent. Earlier post with copy of complaint and list of the loot.
The Bridges have not yet responded to the complaint as they have sixty days to do so since they waived service of process.
The Court issued a preliminary injunction against the Bridges' yesterday. Judge Jordan decreed:
* A preliminary injunction is issued against Leigh and Chad Bridges. The order attaches all property and assets. The NCUAB is trustee for all assets.
* All financial accounts are frozen. The freeze order includes Chad Bridge's family trust. The couple had accounts at Raymond James Financial, Copiah Bank, Chase Bank, Acorns Investing, American Express Bank, Coinbase Global, First National Bank of Omaha, Kansas City Life Insurance, Goldman Sachs, and Park Avenue Wealth Management.
* Anyone who helps Bridges dispose of property without court approval is liable.
* The order covers the homes at Sleepy Hollow (Jackson, Great Southern Road (Hazlehurst), Eastbrook Street (Jackson), Perdido Beach Boulevard (Alabama), all fixtures and furniture within the homes, a 2026 Tesla Model Y, 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA 250, 2020 Mercedes-Benz G 550, and a 2023 Tesla Model Y. Full insurance coverage must be maintained for property, including collision insurance.
* The property that the NCUAB may take custody of under this Order includes all tangible items with estimated resale fair market value of over $100, including but not limited to artwork, antiques, jewelry, furniture, furnishings, furniture, electronics, handbags, clothing, and musical instruments, but specifically excluding real property, fixtures, automobiles, food, alcohol and liquor, cell phones, computers, animals, animal feed, firearms, ammunition, hazardous materials, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, family photographs, bibles or other religious writings, intimate apparel, medicine, medical equipment, illegal contraband, weapons, explosives, and items reasonably believed to belong to someone other than the Defendants. Notwithstanding the foregoing sentence, the NCUAB may elect to not take into custody a particular item or items even though such item meets the inclusion criteria explained in the previous sentence.
Does this mean the Administration will seize the family cats?
* The Bridges must allow NCUAB agents access to their homes to inventory the contents and take possession of what it deems necessary subject to the limitations of the order. Judge Jordan will hold the defendants in contempt of court if they deny access between 9 AM and 7 PM.
* The defendants can only use their vehicles for necessary travel within the city of Jackson or to meet the requirements of the order.
* The Bridges can live of off Chad Bridges' income. However, his employer, the Mississippi Insurance Department, terminated Bridges last month.
* A list of all personal property must be provided to NCUAB agents within five days.

So the "intimate apparel" can't be seized but what about the x*x toys if any?
So wait one minute, the court can take YO DRAWS!!!! You know you have messed up when they literally snatch the draws off yo ass!
barn door closed after cow escapes-
No Draws!
So did they have the last three weeks to hide money and assets? It just got frozen?
I wonder where the many-millions of dollars worth of jewelry and gemstones are stored.
TLDR> What about the stolen assets they sent overseas?
“specifically excluding….animals”.
Have they left the country?
If no, why not?
Isn't there an appropriate song, “Take The Money and Run”.
They left them a stick of deodorant for the trial phase.
Why haven’t they been arrested?
"transferring or disposing of any funds in any financial account possessed, owned by, titled to, or controlled by them in any capacity"
How are they supposed to pay their utility bills, the lawn care guy, buy groceries, etc?
@2:57 you read it incorrectly, the intimate apparel, and presumably any such toys as well may be seized, if their estimated fair market resale value is greater than $100. Not sure what the resale market is like for intimate apparel, but hey, there's something out there for everyone I guess.
I didn't know that a family trust could be frozen. That's concerning. Could it be that it wasn't set up properly or would it be caused by the alleged shenanigans?
THEY DRAWS are listed in things excluded from seizure!
4:48 - help me out here, how was it read 'incorrectly' when it says: "specifically excluding......intimate apparel"? Seems to me he is not the one having reading issues.
I thought I saw the Bridges, Chowke, Banks, and Jody all getting on a private jet, but maybe not.
Let's assume a federal investigation started this year. The Fibbies will have to do a forensic accounting. That will take months and not just a couple either. Then they have to put the case together. My estimate, 6 months to a year before you see something. The Feds might also be giving NCUAB time to pursue recovery because once prosecution begins, the civil stuff is stayed.

Mayb they can get an advance on the movie rights...
Damn it boy…yall got me beat on the comments for the vibrators, bustiers, thigh highs, stilettos, neck collars, fishnets, sex swings. Just sayin
By design
If they put her intimate apparel up for auction they might make some money if they sell It by the “square yard”. She’s a big gal. With the obesity rate these days there will be lots of big women looking for a good deal.
Doing the right thing gets you nowhere but the bottom in America. Lie, cheat and steal your way to the top.
I've always wondered if lawyers for crooks can be paid with ill-gotten gains?
I'm sure all the other credit unions in Mississippi are watching this case intensely. The amount of money stolen is so high more safeguards should be installed by NCUAB.
Still no pics of this Tina character . The one who took the "bribes".
If they cannot be paid with ill-gotten gains there would not be any lawyers defending crooks.
Good idea, 7:51! More specifically, the 'Rights' could be for a TV SERIES: about like '$chitt's Creek' (which is about a downfall, confiscation of assets, and a comeuppance - then the discovery that the small town where they land, is full of surprisingly-sophisticated and truly-kindhearted folk).
Only, the new show is "Southern" (where the downfall and confiscation and comeuppance are followed by the discovery that the family's new home - a trailer park in Rankin County's 'Robinhood' - is filled with truly amazing characters, whose grasp of what to do with the family's only remaining possessions - Leah's underwear and religious items - totally boggles the mind)
How many filming facilities exist, now, in the Jackson Metro? The show could be produced, right there in Mississippi. You've even got product placement opportunities: the Tiffany-curated Tea Brewing Station; Victoria's Secret; Chanel; Prada....
Has Tate Taylor ever done a TV series? Would Tyler Perry stoop to filming in Jackson? Me, I'm thinkin' the voluptuous and ever-so-hot Graham Platner, now that he's at loose ends, could play the studly 'Chad'. The camera LOVES that boy. Sofia Vergara is the obvious choice, as the elusive 'Tina'. But who, to play the star, 'Leigh'? We need somebody who's BIG.
Help me out, here, folks! Who should play 'Leigh'?
“Basic living expenses and legal fees will come from Chad Bridges’ salary. Those expenses include paying insurance, condominium fees, utility bills, urgent repairs, and other debts related to the property.
His salary, meanwhile, will be “deposited into a specific account,” with statements for that account being provided to NCUA, the order states.”
KF do you think American Greed will come to jackson
