"It's Deja Vu All Over Again"

 What Yogi Berra said.

wtf is this shit

Anonymous said...

Yeah what a terrible analogy.

Anonymous said...

Only thing missing is the fact that politicians traded blacks for illegals a while back. Other than that the cartoon is a stretch to tie the two periods of history together.

Anonymous said...

Mississippi will always double down on hate and ignorance ...

Anonymous said...

This is just silly and not even close to being an accurate comparison.

Anonymous said...

Like how Ross has a halo, I'm pretty sure he is down below lol

Anonymous said...

my bar is set pretty low for the editorial cartoons occasionally published here... this one, though... it's embarrassing you even pressed post.

Kingfish said...

Frieza, Cell, and the Ginyu Force all have halos and they are in hell.

Anonymous said...

I have been thinking this since it started. The statements that the politicians have been saying are exactly the same as the old days. And they're all Democrats.

Anonymous said...

What a load of poop.

Anonymous said...

It’s never too late to delete an embarrassingly bad post.

Kingfish said...

Why? Because a scumbag Mayor refuses to enforce the law and decides to usurp federal law and block the government from enforcing it? Just like Ross tried to block integration.

Anonymous said...

Have to agree with the crowd this time Fish, know you think this was cute and even appropriate, but you missed the mark on this one. No comparison of the two that fits.

Anonymous said...

This is downright pathetic. Are we going to pretend like Ross Barnett was wrong? Look at our society and our state these days. Nothing worse than a wormy “conservative” throwing our past leaders under the bus for a modern problem.

Anonymous said...

Is that why Ross has a halo? This is gross

Anonymous said...

you could always pay yourself to take it down

Anonymous said...

Enforcing civil rights or depriving people of their civil rights, one of these things is not like the other.

Kingfish said...

The only deprivation of civil rights in Minnehaha is what happened to those innocent church goers last Sunday when the Black Lives Matter Brownshirts showed up to storm their church and intimidate them from worship.

Anonymous said...

You're wrong, multiple US citizens have been victimized in this bullshit.

Anonymous said...

No wait! You wanna talk about deprivation of civil rights. What about ICE invading homes with no warrant and no judges signature. Like Black Lives Matter protesters can violate someone's civil rights. That's pathetic just like this cartoon. Put the crack pipe down and back away slowly!

Anonymous said...

@ 4:34 tell that to your idiot base that’s stupid enough to believe this line. Democrats are well beyond being able to be taken seriously when uttering words like civil rights. Democrats damned sure don’t give a ____ about the civil rights of victims; even when innocent children are raped and murdered.

Save your ____ing fake outrage because it’s not fooling anybody here.

Anonymous said...

A political cartoon. Too bad (for you) that you are so dense.

Anonymous said...

What a shame KF how so many in your audience have morphed into whining crybabies.

And what is their solution? Restraining your publishing decisions.

Everyone of them wants to tell you how to do it but not a one of them ever wants to exercise the stones to compete with you in the marketplace of ideas.

Pathetic. Every complainer, pathetic.

Anonymous said...

I don't disagree with illegal immigration crackdowns and going out and exercising extradition warrants.

It's a shame it had to be implemented by an incompetent dumbass and her side piece. But for rank incompetence, political grandstanding, bad legal advice from partisan hacks, and a stream of bald-faced lies, this could have been very different.

But once again, one side being wrong does not make the other side right, and that cuts both ways.

Anonymous said...

Some here may recall Hubert H Humphrey, a commie in a late 1960s campaign. Leftists have popped out of Minnesota like pus from a zit for generations now.

Anonymous said...

@4:54 where was your fake outrage when Biden’s ATF forced entry into the home of Brian Malinowski mere seconds after knocking, then killing him (a man not charged or convicted of anything) because he thought he was being broken into?

Save the fake outrage for your dense base…it’s not fooling anybody here.

Anonymous said...

ICE is good in Minnesota but no good in Mississippi….

Anonymous said...

KF, your "only" skips way past the killing of an individual and not allowing any investigation to determine if she was at fault, or if the fed overreacted. Who knows? You don't, I don't, and neither does the Trump administration who has put a stop to anyone looking. If the fed was operating appropriately, they should welcome an independent investigation. Not saying I would absolutely adopt a local investigation, just as I don't adopt the feds. But in the meantime, there is a question as to who's rights are being infringed.

And, the busting into private homes without a warrant, the arrest of US citizens who might just happen to not look like the fed ICE agent, all might, just might, be an infringment on someone's individual civil rights other than the church you are trying to hang your hat on.

And this does not come from a lib Democrat, as all the MAGA fanatics would like to claim - it does come from a law and order Republican who wants the laws enforced (properly) and wanted the same laws enforced (properly) back during Ross's days.

And, BTW, you remember those days - well, actually you don't, you weren't around then - but the state's reaction at both Ole Miss and then later at JSU (college at the time) - were not legal or supportive, so again you fail when you try to hang your hat there. I agree with 429 above, you missed the target on this one.

Anonymous said...

@5:47 That was an early morning raid and I wasn't awake yet!

Anonymous said...

All 20 Karens in Mississippi have posted today...or maybe Donna K has posted 20 times.

Anonymous said...

You will never see Marshall Ramsey be honest enough to draw a cartoon like this.

Anonymous said...

No he didn't 6:30. It is humorous and funny. I was 11 back then. I too remember. All you candy ass crybabies need to toughen up. IT. IS. FUNNY.

Anonymous said...

I believe there are better ways to handle immigration enforcement than masked, armed thuggish acting officers on the streets of The United States. Again…” Those who do not remember the past, are condemned to repeat it.”

Anonymous said...

@ 6:30 the smart money bet is you’re at best a TDS RINO, but much more likely a leftist Democrat since your heart bleeds for the criminal lady that clearly was Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer, clearly rammed her vehicle into him, and clearly could have run over and potentially killed the officer had he fallen towards the center of her vehicle.

And since your heart bleeds for criminals while mentioning nothing at all in your rant about victims, including the rape and murder of children by the criminal thugs you “hang your hat on” looking out for, odds are heavy that you’re not a law and order Republican.

Anonymous said...

And, BTW, you remember those days ...

How old were you back in 1962? Truly doubt as a teen, at the oldest, that you were following the legal aspects of those situations closely. Strong odds are you weren't a Republican back then either.

Anonymous said...

Look at that flag, back then things made sense and Mississippi had a governor who stood up for what he believed in

Anonymous said...

Amen 7:43 PM!! Very well said!!!

Anonymous said...

Kingfish got all the fascists riled up with a cartoon! Lol! The Fascists don’t want the rule of laws nor do they even know what the laws are they’re just parroting what they’re told. Keep jamming the illegals, keep the fascists mental health low, keep them spending their money, wear them out on all fronts.

Anonymous said...

Hardly. It's spot on.

Anonymous said...

They don't like that the door swings both ways.
Rules for thee, but not for me.

Anonymous said...

Any humanitarian crisis - this one created on purpose by those wanting to destroy America - is going to be ugly as hell to fix. Doesn't matter how it's "implemented". You have zero idea of how hard it is to move millions of humans in any direction. It's always going to be ugly, even by a magical genius you dream of.

Anonymous said...

The Democrats are the fascists - attempting to force through violence belief systems that the people have rejected. If you have to use force/violence to implement your values, something's wrong with your values.

Anonymous said...

They should have been home minding their own business.

Anonymous said...

Maybe, ICE can show up and politely ask the illegals if they are willing to come to the station and talk about being here against federal law over coffee. Ya know, ask them what is a good time to swing by and pick them up. It is amazing how many people are more worried about treating criminals with kid gloves but didn’t say anything about the COVID lock downs and the arrest of American citizens that were walking on the beach without a mask.

Anonymous said...

@6:30 brings up the “state's reaction at both Ole Miss,” but I’m guessing he/she never had the honor of actually meeting James Meredith. If @6:30 had, he/she might have learned that Mr. Meredith knew those pretending to care, were really just using him politically. @6:30 might have learned that James Meredith supported law-and-order policies, and harsh criminal penalties.

When referencing Ole Miss in 1962, Democrats and RINO’s looovvve leaving the above out. And this adds to the reason we can likely rest assured that if Malcom X had lived long enough, he would have amended his statement “that white person that you see calling himself a liberal is the most dangerous thing in the entire Western Hemisphere,” to also include TDS RINO’s.

Because they hold their heads high with arrogance pretending to have morals, while not giving a ____ about innocent victims, including children, and especially if they’re poor minorities unable to afford to live in the burbs and/or behind gates (like the safe bet is @6:30 does).

The cartoon is a good one.

Anonymous said...

Fractured tautology attempting a “This is the same as that.” Further, we know it’s not funny when the readership has to be whomped upside the head by cartoon characters having to bear name tags so we know who they represent. If it’s topical and powerful, the characters don’t need name tags.

Bone-headed post, Fish. You should follow your own advice and stay in your lane.

Kingfish said...

or Bonehead, maybe there are a lot of people who don't know what Ross Barnett looked like since that speech was oh, 66. years ago.

Kingfish said...

and why are those agents masked? Because your team has been doxxing them, putting their addresses and family members names online. Some of your friends went to one ICE agent's house recently and harassed his family. You think one works at a church and take over the church in Brownshirt style with Goebbels/Lemon egging them on. DOn't forget they shot at the agents in Houston and instead killed two illegals. You are right. Agents have not masked up before but then, your side has not been doxing and harassing or threatening like this before either.

6:12 am Throughout history, we've had police forces that didn't have to be like Storm Troopers or the Gestapo. Some of us understand the difference. It's how the term " excessive force" came into existence. You want to shoot first and ask questions later. And, you don't know that other ,better , safer strategies can work without a 5 year old being traumatized...you know...call CPS to be ready to comfort and place the child! We are the laughing stock of the world these days. Let's make America Ignorant and Backwards again!

Anonymous said...

Hey KF, how does that boot taste?

Anonymous said...

@9:01, before learning that the ACLU was NOT a civil liberties organization for all Americans, but instead a hack arm of the Democrat Party, I would have agreed with you. But we all know better now, don’t we?

You failing to mention that Democrats are actively fighting ICE, offering no help from local LEO, Democrat pols are telling their idiot sheep criminal followers to “put their bodies on the line” against ICE, i.e. do anything they can do to continue “Obstructing Federal Law Enforcement Officers,” means what you are giving us is just more selective, fake outrage…..so save it for your idiot base to dumb to know better.

We were already the “laughing stock of the world.” Obama and Biden made sure of that. How ____ing stupid did we have to be to allow criminals to flood our country, pay for European defense while they enjoy short work weeks, drink wine and ____ all of the time, etc., etc., etc?

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
