Mission Mississippi, a nonprofit organization committed to reconciling racial and ethnic differences, along with various denominations and congregations, is sponsoring a prayer gathering to pray specifically for our legislative leaders.

What: The purpose of the Legislative Prayer Breakfast is to bring the Christian community together to pray for our Legislators as they perform the requirements of their office for the 2026 session. By praying together, we illustrate unity across denominational and racial lines.
When: 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2026
Where: First Baptist Jackson – Fellowship Hall East, 431 N. State Street, Jackson, MS, 39201
The program includes selected individuals praying for the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Speaker of the House, Legislators, and the Mississippi Supreme Court Justices. A Legislative Choir and other special musical guests will also be on the program. To conclude this year’s prayer breakfast, attendees will join together on the South Capitol Grounds to pray for the State of Mississippi and its Leaders.
