Well, if he had any regrets about leaving that should take care of it.

Can we get a new AD too cause Keith Carter ain’t it

Ohh how we forget, think Tommy Turberville! Swore he would never leave Ole Miss in 1998 “they’ll have to carry me out in a pine box “, 2 days later he was at Auburn

All of those California howdies.

Anonymous said...

How low class.

Go for a walk or watch a Hallmark movie.

Anonymous said...

That’s what I call a bird strike.

Anonymous said...

It’s not his fault.

Anonymous said...

If all Ole Miss fans were as locked in as the woman on the far right who took her toddler to heckle Kiffin he would have never left.

Anonymous said...

We still have the guy with down’s at MSU. Jeff sucks.

Ole miss has every right to be mad. Ole miss could had hired a quality coach to replace him if he had made his decision sooner. He waited until the end and now those quality coaches have been hired by other schools. Look what he did to Tennessee. You reap want you sow

Anonymous said...

The struggle is real.

Kiffin is like that crazy hot girl everyone tells you to stay away from. The sex is ungodly but when she leaves, she burns all your stuff in the front yard.

Anonymous said...

They are displaying their IQs.

Leave the SEC. Best year ever - when black and white people can play - and you can’t win it all or keep the coach from going to a like school? Why even try?

check out right side of the first photo. you will see a mommy holding a kid.

mommy and daddy should be sent for a mental evaluation for taking their kid to something as disgusting as this little going away party.

Never let it be said that the Ole Miss fans have any class.

Gawd, I love it!! GTH Ole Miss, GTH !!

That's when you did what Skip Bertman did. When Saban got cold feet about Miami and wanted to come back, Skip said he wasn't playing that game anymore and was looking for another coach.

I thought this was the school of class and dignity. Maybe we were right all along….

Following up on KF at 10:07, I think this was the only way Ole Miss could have handled it, and still force Kiffin to take responsibility for his own decision to leave.

Otherwise, Kiffin would have put the blame on someone else, while trying to have it both ways, which he still tried to do by blaming the school for not letting him coach the team in the playoffs.

Kiffin and Nick Saban both knew damn well UM couldn’t let Kiffin coach the Rebels, while simultaneously recruiting for LSU.

Eight years ago Saban wouldn’t let Kiffin coach in the national championship after accepting the job at FAU. Now they both act like that never happened, and it’s some kind of injustice to the players to not let him do it now.

I have news for the State fans trolling here: You still suck.

Stepping-stone school. Who wants to live in Oxford?

97%.

Anonymous said...

Seems as though someone is mad just like those idiots at JSU when Dione Sanders left for Colorado...get over it !

Anonymous said...

I wouldn’t care about anyone flipping me off while I board a private jet to go make $90 million along with an enormous NIL fund for recruiting.

Hey Kingfish, good luck with this guy. He is a wonderful football coach, but a changed man he is NOT. Caveat emptor.

10:37 for today’s win!

Deja Vu all over again. Remember when Freeze was the 'second coming' at OM? Until he wasn't. Same With Orgeron and Cutcliff.

OM is nothing but a pit of fickle vipers. One minute you're recommended for sainthood - The next minute you're strapped to a cross.

But the new coach will do just fine. He's already respected as well as qualified and effective. Four year starter at DSC, then employed at DSC, Southern Miss, Alabama and OM. His wife is buying new dishes this morning.

Cheer up, UM Conformists. You’re going up, up, up.
It’s gonna be, gonna be Golding.
Gonna be, gonna be Golding.

Gotta get used to this. Mississippi has zero to offer. We are dead last. When Louisiana has more opportunity to offer than Mississippi, it should wake people up but instead we see Mississippi white boys doing their best. Same ole stupidity generates same ole stupid white boys. And Mississippi stays #50. This reaction was so predictable.

That’s Senator Tubs now, so yeah, it’s just transactional politics

Good Morning, Lane Kiffin. GTH Ole Miss! @10:55, “Dione Sanders”. Do you mean Deion Sanders?

Anonymous said...

Don't these people have jobs or obligations to attend? Anything else to spend their time on?

Anonymous said...

Glad it’s over - next

You have to learn to look on the bright side of life. I'm a state fan. I just left thanksgiving with family that is 100 percent ole miss fans.
They were all
Worried about their coach and the playoffs and their players leaving. We state fans don't have to worry about any of that. I mean there are some high schools looking for coaches but like I said we don't have to worry about our coach being hired away.

Kiffin took Bama off the schedule the past two seasons because the Rebels could not defeat them and injuries from that game alone plagued the teams for the rest of the season.

I must admit I have enjoyed the last day since his announcement way more than I should have. I have gone on Ole Miss football forums last night and this morning. The amount of bitching, whining, pissing and crying has been epic. I have witnessed all 4 phases of grief. Here’s the thing Ole Miss, no matter how much money you throw at it, no matter how much spinning, rearranging, candy coating or mental masturbation you go through. You will always just be a stepping stone school no different than Southern Miss.

only dirt road white trash takes a small child to a gathering like this and tells him ''this is whats called a bon voyage party''.

Anonymous said...

LOL! Jeff is dense and he does suck, but “Down’s?” That’s a bit too far, bro.

Anonymous said...

Imagine being upset because you took a promotion in salary.

Anonymous said...

Wonder did the JET in the picture do a FLYBY? I’ll bet the group jeering would still have a hard on saying. Lane must have consulted with Senator Turberville?

Anonymous said...

Tuberville was the real genius. Although I'm sure the groupies aren't as pretty anymore...

Anonymous said...

I’m a lifelong Ole Miss fan. I stayed connected to the Kiffin saga until the bitter end. However, I realized that it was over, he was gone and there was nothing I could do about it. Life goes on and there are so many more important things to get upset or worry about.
Do these people have nothing else to do on a Sunday afternoon besides stand behind a chain link fence next to an airport tarmac and scream obscenities at a football coach leaving to take another job somewhere?

Anonymous said...

Gotta love the gentility of the University of Northern Mississippi folk. It’s all sedate gatherings in the shade of Rowan Oak, mint juleps, and standing around hooting with one’s middle finger upraised. Total Old South class, isn’t it?

Mississippi is #50 in many things, but we are certainly #1 in the number of football goobers.

Anonymous said...

I love the hypocrisy of Lane being all butthurt about Ben Garrett (sort of) calling him a "ho" and then Lane turns around and completely screws Ole Miss for money. Turns out Ben was spot on.

Anonymous said...

At least they didn't bring their Switch Enhanced Glocks to the party & shoot at the plane...

Anonymous said...

Like JSU going berserk when Prime found a way out

Anonymous said...

As someone said, Ole Miss fans have not been this upset since James Meredith enrolled there.

Anonymous said...

The butt-hurt State fans posting here are hilarious. When you’ve lost five of the last six Egg Bowls, I guess you look for small victories where you can.

Anonymous said...

Some of my in-laws are Ole Piss alum/fans they sure were strutting around at Thanksgiving, I bet they aren't nearly as arrogant today. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Anonymous said...

Well when one door closes another one opens. I hope all OM players win the playoff & go on to the NFL Draft. God helped you get where you are in life, not Lane Kiffin. Hope some good staff was left.

Anonymous said...

Everyone of those folks would change jobs for a $10 k/yr raise in a heartbeat.

Anonymous said...

a friendly reminder to all the beautiful people of ole miss....your mortgage payment is due today.

I haven't laughed this hard since Michigan beat Alabama in the playoffs.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
