Ainsworth a meth head?
Walter Ainsworth won't be leaving jail anytime soon after Rankin County Court Judge David Morrow denied the alleged Rez shooter bond yesterday.
Reservoir police charged Walter Ainsworth with aggravated assault and drive-by shooting earlier this month. A police affidavit charges:
It was determined that the incident began as a road rage incident on Grants Ferry Road. She stated that when she stopped at the redlight on Spillway Road at the Old Fannin Road and Northshore Parkway intersection she saw the White Toyota pickup truck approach her driver side and when she turned, she saw a White Male in a ball cap, hoodie with a possible ""salt and pepper"" beard, but did have facial hair pointing a black handgun toward her. Ms. Trotter stated she ducked down behind her door when the suspect fired a single shot into her vehicle. She stated she then speed off to the Reservoir Police Department where she then dialed 911
Judge Morrow did not set bond for Ainsworth at his November 4 initial appearance, calling him a possible danger to the community. The judge described the items found in Ainsworth's vehicle upon his arrest: a bulletproof vest, two gas masks, a pair of brass knuckles, a baton, handcuffs, and yes, a flamethrower. Judge Morrow said police found a human skull and a lower human jawbone in his Florence home . The police are investigating their source.
Assistant District Attorney Ryan Perry filed a motion to deny bond for Ainsworth. The motion revealed Ainsworth was charged in Smith County in 2024 for possession of more than 1/10 g of meth. The Simpson County Circuit Court docket states the grand jury indicted Ainsworth for possession of methamphetamine in October 2025 for the 2024 arrest.
Ainsworth did not contest the prosecutor's motion. Judge Morrow denied bond to Ainsworth and bound him over to the grand jury.

There was a time when the community would deal with people like Mr. Ainsworth. I used to wonder how could a society have become so draconian, but with our system no longer working, it’s becoming more understandable.
Too bad Mr. Ainsworth didn’t shoot at someone with the ability the shoot back accurately so the “system” wouldn’t be spending any of the tax payers hard earned dollars on his dumb ass.
Zillow has his trailer and land estimated at $24,500 (Florence mailing address but not in the city of Florence) so this is in line with the “Ainsworth a meth head?” question. Especially if the electricity is off.
Does this mean I should keep my flamethrower in my gun safe?
"a bulletproof vest, two gas masks, a pair of brass knuckles, a baton, handcuffs, and yes, a flamethrower"
None of these items are illegal to possess.
I thought the flame throwers were the commenters on this site. ;-D
Did they figure out where the bones and skull came from?
"Goes to state of mind, your honor."
This needs more attention. Well done.
When the courts refuse to hold those who commits crimes accountable, what is a society supposed to do? Just let criminals run society?
the guys a methhead......imagine that .......................the rankin side of the reservoir is infested with these types.
never invest your money in this area . the reservoir police are the most pathetic excuse for law enforcement there is. they cant and won't do anything about people like this white trash.
it took the sheriffs dept to make this case. reservoir police are useless .
there are so many white trash methheads running the roads in their pickup trucks , you would think possession and distribution of meth is legal in rankin county .
when ever there is a fire at any apartment or house in rankin near the reservoir, the cause if the fire is cooking meth until proven otherwise.
