thanks to Trump’s tarriffs, MDOT was unable to afford those ahovels that stand around on their own. So they had to get this done FAST!
Not to worry. Leake county folks could still get their beer anyway.
Was this the result of a good repair crew, or a poor estimate by the engineers.
You first
And the deck repair on I-55 South @ Pearl River continues at a snail's pace.
Good fast and cheap. Pick two.
Probably fast and cheap.
Proud for Tommy's Trading Post none the least- it matters when Hwy's are shut down.
Hopefully the contractor received a spiff. We need to reward performance that exceeds expectations.
Mitch Tyner still has influence.
Mitch Tyner hasn’t owed Tommy’s Trading Post for about five years.
Rankin made it illegal for Americans to own gas stations.
8:08PM you are partly correct, Rankin made it illegal for Americans to own gas stations, conv stores, Subways, and hotels!
state government doing something ahead of schedule?
thats the first time i ever heard of that.
Attn. 5:10 pm. Why not let the people living in the vicinity pay for these repairs? It is not the obligation of the citizens living outside of Mississippi to pay for Mississippi’s shortcomings.
As a project manager from a similar profession, I say Kudos! to those at MDOT who defied the Rule #1 of construction: Everything takes longer and costs more than planned. It is difficult to know what will be found when the surface gets scratched. Sometimes, it's just like expected. Other times, the time and budget to deal with the issues are woefully insufficient. Regardless, it takes an experienced, diligent, proactive, project manager to make it happen.
@7:28 PM How much did he owe them?
Twas sarcasm i believe, Francis.
Thanks for reporting this, I’ve not seen this anywhere else
Well, it ain't like this is newsworthy.
Well if you live in Clinton and want to put your boat out at Tommy's it is. Staying up late listening to those Taylor Swift albums again?
MDOT has totally fucked up rush hour traffic flow in the Jackson area for a 9-12 month period.
