Robert Odom might not be setting any fires soon after a Jackson Municipal Court set his bond at $500,000.
A Fire Marshal caught Odom setting fire to a manhole in the Fondren yesterday. The Fire Marshal ordered him to stop but the would-be arsonists kept the fire going. JPD arrested Odom and charged him with third-degree arson.
Odom has become familiar with the police over the last year. JPD arrested Odom on July 12, 204 and charged him with third degree arson after he set a water main as well as a wooded area on fire. A Jackson Municipal Court Judge set his bond at $5,000. Hinds County Court Judge Johnny McDaniels lowered his bond to $4,000 in January 2025. He has not been indicted.
JPD arrested Odom again on June 23, 2025 but this time for possession of 1.3g of meth. A Jackson Municipal Court Judge set his bond at $10,000. No further action has been taken on the case.

Thank goodness one court did its job.
How does someone set fire to a manhole and a water main?
Kids. This is what meth will do to you and the neighborhood.

Way to tell us you never read the Anarchists Cookbook without telling us!
We could have used him in Viet Nam!!!!
Mayor Horhn needs to recruit him and let him go to town in the neighborhoods with all the blight. Two birds, one stone.
If he had kilt someone the bond would have been lower.
What are they making manholes out of these days? Wait, did you mean manhole COVER? A hole is a hole which is air, right.
now maybe they can catch the mad pooper that hangs out around the county lock up area.
Do manholes really burn, or was it a "man's hole?"
