Update: Found! Mother arrested in New Orleans and waiting extradition to Jackson.
JPD issued the following statement.
On August 14, 2025, at approximately 7:20am, the Jackson Police Department received a call about a missing 10-year-old child. The child, Georgeuss McGrew is described as b/f, dark complexion, black hair (braided with 2 blue bows). She was last seen wearing navy blue school uniform pants and blue blouse. She was taken from the bus stop in the 200 block of Frederica Avenue. Witnesses reported that a woman called the child over to her
and forced her into a late model, Blue Honda Accord driven by an unidentified black male.
Detectives identified the victim’s abductor as 28-year-old Dessan Riley, the child’s
biological mother. Riley, who has a history of mental illness and drug abuse is not the
child’s legal guardian. The child has been in custody of her current legal guardian since
she was six months old.
An endangered missing child alert has been sent to MBI and there is a warrant for the
arrest of Dessan Riley. The child was entered on NCIC as an endangered missing child.

That is somebody's beautiful little girl. Prayers she is safe.
Girl rescued and perp arrested, per WLBT.
Sex Trafficking is real. I wouldn’t put it past these kidnappers to sell this child into sex slavery for drug money. Take her down to New Orleans and she’ll never be seen again.
Did you read the article? The lady who took her was her bio mother. Doubt she's gonna sell her into the trade, but you never know these days.
It was her biological mother who took her.
He didn't read the article. Gen Z and millennials only read headlines.
Where's the Amber alert? They send that shit for everything else. Why not this one?
Yes, I read the article. Are you naive enough to believe a mentally ill and drug addicted mother wouldn’t kidnap her child or sell her into slavery?
Race was definitely a factor here. If this was a white girl kidnapped, we wouldn't even be talking about it.
