"Greek" life while attending college is not for everyone. It has various differing results/outcomes for many. For some, it's a surrogate family that helps a teen transition to young adulthood via a positive (hopefully not snotty) peer group. For others it can be a torturous experience of being forced to "fit in" to something unrealistic and that reinforces a "self-importance" that is sadly all too common today.

Like all young adult experiences - some forge their character for good, others may damage/delay their development and transition to adulting full-time. This recent focus on genetics is telling about the younger generation....as if history is repeating itself.

That's not the definition given to us by all the talking heads. Quiet the opposite actually. I thought the left was the party of tolerance, acceptance and love? They just want to get married. That's all. Inch meet mile...

I knew a woman who got fired from a volunteer position at a no-kill shelter. I’m not certain how one gets fired from a non-paying, volunteer gig, but I do surmise Karen Whiner here is about to find out.

So there is a video or a crazy lady accosting some guy at a dog park over adopted pets. There is no mention whatsoever of politics or political affiliation.

Yet half the comments assume she's a Democrat, and then base their entire interpretation of the video through the lens of partisan politics. Ya'll are so deeply programmed to project political bias and value judgments on the "enemy" that you don't even realize you're constantly doing it.

Literally, a typical Democrat these days. Definitely a Harris voter, and certainly not a Trump voter. The line between crazy and not is very clear, but I've yet to meet a Democrat in today's environment that can see that. They all think they're sane and can't see their insanity and throw "racist" and "Trump" as their first line of defense for their craziness.

I have no idea what her politics might be - I didn't watch more than a few seconds of the video and I'm not going to watch more. However, if she did say that even once, there are really only two choices: she said it in a favorable way, "I cannot believe a fellow Trump supporter would...," or a negative way, "Only a Trump supporter would..." Either way, she introduced politics into a rant about...adopting dogs. If she used it in the latter way, it isn't unreasonable to suggest she probably leans left/liberal. Obviously, the topic of the rant itself suggests that, too.

Where this gets really weird for me is that left/right politics got into an otherwise perfectly reasonable, completely apolitical topic. Much like the Greek-vs-non-Greek debate, the choice of companion is a personal one. I cannot think of any reason that would make adoption a bad choice, but I cannot think of any reason it should be a mandatory one. If this guy loves and takes care of his pup and the pup loves and takes care of him, other folks - sane or insane - really don't have, pardon the pun, a dog in the hunt.

She tells this man to rescue a dog and that he's a horrible person. She completely ignores him when he points to an older dog "That's his mom". The guy did not have to adopt. He responsibly kept one of the litter to raise as part of his family. But Whackjob McKaren here is either blinded by TDS rage or mentally disturbed, not that those are mutually exclusive.
